Kinda the reverse of one of my ideas!!!! I was going to take a MPC Christie vintage fire engine kit and make a large scale Flameout!!!! Works both ways!!! Sounds like a cool idea!! This thing is scary looking!!!!

This will make things interesting.................

Or a fire hose!!!! But the issue is acting as if these drones are indefensible!!! When I watch KTLA and they are covering a fire in the rural mountains.....and a drone has caused a halt in air drops...... I could take care of it in minutes.....So IMHO a cop should be allowed and compelled to take out the drone in situations like this.......seems to be on the edge of sublime to me...... -

What I don't understand is law enforcement talks about how drones interfere with fire fighting in California by causing the grounding of water drop planes. I have a solution in my living room for a drone within eyesight.......called a shot gun!! They act as if drones are indestructible..... when they are pretty fragile. Just a few pellets from a shot gun shell brings them down. Agreed hard to do in an area with lots of people.......but I will never understand why drones are looked at as bullet proof. -
How many 'gone forever' kits have we seen in the last 15 years???? I was told by the then head of AMT that my grail kit the AMTronic would NEVER be reissued due to issues. It was.....twice in fact. May not be everyone's fav....but it happened. There is still some 'shocking' kits to be 'discovered'......

The old layout was O scale of 1/48 vs the 1/87 scale today. The old layout still held up well when it was removed. It's nice now....but wish they had kept the O version.

Let's say John wants to do it. Buy Flameout and the WV bus kits coming......that funds future projects.

If it gets us a 77-78 stock body Thunderbird it will be well worth it!!! -
That is my understanding.......John gave me one too. I had worked a lot with RC2 on projects and when R2 took over did my best to help when asked. The yellow coats are only given.....I was honored for sure. As for new stuff........I can say they are working hard to get more of our cash!!

Revell SoCal Speed Shop double kit
Dave Van replied to squirrel886's topic in Car Kit News & Reviews
That Elmo Langley Thunderbird is at Charlotte Motor speedway. I saw that car at his shop about 5 miles up the road near my then home. The anniversary edition with no C pillar window would be my choice.......like your low rider and NASCAR racer......plez -

Been pushing that one for years.......I could see Revell doing it like they did the 77 Monte Carlo kit.........It would sell as well if not better -
Nice clean work!!! That was one of the early MK kits I got to work on....but I have never built one. You make it look good!!! Early box top photo....not by me.....I just did decal art.

Asking price or selling price??? If it's just high asking price.....blame ebay. Sellers like me, who had a lot of listings over the years but no longer do, get e-mails all the time for free listings with reduced selling fees. I've been tempted to offer a RARE (favorite ebay word) kit at a super high price....if someone buys....GOOD....if not lost a few minutes!! High selling prices?? As stated supply and demand. Results of a free and open economy working as designed. Blame?? Founding fathers???

Sent one......my grown kids are too. We NEED something positive in this age. One other thing....maybe not all can do...but something I support. Get a 'Angle Tree' name from a TRUSTED community service provider. We did one for a local 3 yo.....can't imagine a 3 to not getting something. THANKS -

I don't think anyone said Javelin and Falcon SHARED chassis......but design queues I can say 100%......I own both 66 and 68 Mustangs and 73 Javelin....have rebuilt all three.....it's easy to see a 'family resemblance' even though there should not be one. And I agree about even stampings looking alike. Model wise......take a Mustang chassis....flip the front suspension 180 degrees and adjust WB and you have a good AMC Javelin chassis 70-74. -
Retro Review ESCI Renault R-5 Rally Car
Dave Van replied to oldcarfan's topic in Car Kit News & Reviews
I like and have a number of ESCI kits. Not always fantastic detail...but often cool models. AMT RC2 had a relationship with ESCI at one time.....my old mind says they bought them......but can't say for sure. If anyone could find some of the vintage Land Cruiser and other 'off road' kits, Imports and race cars.....could make some cash!
