  1. You gotta remember The owner of Moebius has a personal connection to Hudsons, they won a lot of races and have a more positive history than many cars of the era. . Good subject matter. Can't say whats next.......only a few at the top of Moebius could....... But I do know if we keep buying.....they keep making!!!
  2. Hudson + steam punk + slat flats = COOL!!!
  3. GREAT concept!!! I have a Modelhaus teardrop that would work as well!!!! Like I need a project!
  4. Richie Panch NASCAR stocker. Chassis from any Nodel King stock car kit. Street machine inspired by Clint Eastwood........
  5. Where is the area that in the old forum showed topics you had replied to?? I'd vote no if I had a say....
  6. I have seen some great N scale layouts built on those cheap interior doors....3' x 6.5' .....sturdy and easy to move or stand on end during down time. $20 locally.....
  7. It is a bash of a 'kit'. I say bash as the kit has 4 walls and a roof.....nothing else. I shortened it about 6 scale feet and made the foundation, roof details and interior, signs etc. LED lighting is hidden. It is 1/48 scale and will be in my downtown section which will be about 8 x 16 feet of just city.....to show off cars of the era and buildings. Thanks
  8. Let's see....... N, HO, HOn3, O3r, On30 and G (1/24) The Intermodal is scratchbuilt O scale 1/48 notin finer than a Diner Ore car 1/48 30 inch gauge
  9. Also note how different the trunk lid is between FB and notch.
  10. I am often confused......but owning a 68 notch....not this time.....
  11. 65-66 notch back rear window is 100% different than a 67-68. It is inset and has very minor sail panels. To get a correct one.....plastic and lots of work.... I have a 1/1 in the garage if you need pics.
  12. Issues aside.......One of the best replica stock builds of that kit. I don't recall any issues....but in a stock car build you bypass many possible problems. Tamiya paints, PPP wheels/tires and Penngwen decals.
  13. Another one gone from a great era of road racing......RIP John....
  14. I use a food dehydrator and can go from bare plastic in the morning to final ready to assemble that night. If you use a heavy clear do ASAP after color or 3-4 days. I have seen clear 'spiderweb' when color is not 'gassed out'. Good luck!
  15. 100% correct.......can you also see a gasser, Race team with trailer and Midget or vintage rail? So many things......
  16. Like Abe Lincoln said......'don't believe everything you read on the internet' .....now it seems he should have added LHS too... My buddy who is a wholesaler said he sold out in minutes when he thought he had ordered a 2 month supply. It is proving to be more popular than Revell thought. Rumors of the death of plastic models is just rumors....
  17. How many of us here DO NOT PAINT GRAY BODIES?? After I paint my first issue of my AMT Avanti kit by dipping it in a can of enamel Dad had left open......Never not painted a model but for a 'ghost' contest build were you were not allowed to paint. A $28 Hudson kit is not aimed at kids......no apology needed.....don't like it???? DON'T BUY IT!!!! Vote with your wallet. I hear the new Revell snap Mustang is nice. Agreed....much ado......
  18. Different tool maker it seems........parts layout is a little different too. FANTASTIC kits and subject matter that 15 years ago were unthinkable ......
  19. It's been covered in the other 54 Hudson thread and in EVERY Ford truck thread. NO BS......body molds are not polished to the same degree as say a Revell snap kits mirror finish. I have no investment or interest in Moebius.......this is just my experience. Like ALL models I prep the body removing flash and gates, mold lines if any. Spray it with Dupli-color #1699 sealer, allow to dry, wet sand and it's ready. Same work to prep as any Revell or AMT kit....maybe a bit less. Lee has it right......not an issue for anyone that has BUILT a kit.
  20. Mine is the salt method....
