  1. I really like the meticulous detailing under the hood. What a fantastic build.
  2. Very nice Mazda Miata MX-5 NB. The body colour/soft top colour go well together. As the car was designed to be as light-weight as possible, the appearance of the ten spoke wheels best match that thinking in my opinion. It looks like the six spoke whites are larger in diameter and to me don't suit the car as well. I will enjoy following this one. Thanks for posting.
  3. Tamas, you've hit another home run with this beauty. Exceptional paintjob.
  4. Either way with the ride height, this looks to be the start of a great build. The Silvia is an awesome looking machine. Will follow your progress.
  5. Mitchell, this is definitely a cool build. I have a few of the Rosso 1/43 NSXs. They are amazing little jewels. Never new this was basically a 'snap' style kit. The detail is quite impressive. You are the first person that I have seen actually building this kit. LOL
  6. I love the story-telling style that you have used to convey your build progress. Everything looks super thus far. As far as window tint. Try "Future" or as it is now called in Canada, "Pledge with Future Shine". This could be coloured with food colouring and brushed or sprayed on the interior of the window parts. If sprayed on, just make sure to clean out the airbrush immediately after. Test it out on a clear section of sprue runner from the kit. If you are unhappy with the result, it will clean off with Isopropyl Alcohol. Worth a try. Good luck with the rest of the build. And as Tom said, there are a number of individuals on the Forum who appreciate all good builds. I am kind of a Tamiya fanatic myself.
  7. Welcome aboard Saif. As you can tell from Harry's Google search link, there are many hobby stores in Toronto. Some are specifically geared towards remote control, while others have more of a kit focus. Even amongst the shops that specialize in kits, some have more of an automotive selection than others. It depends on where you live as well. Some of the shops I like: Wheels and Wings Hobbies - Danforth near Woodbine (east central) * good car selection Hornet Hobbies - O'Connor south of Eglinton (east central) * improving car selection Hobby King - Highway 7 east of Woodbine area (east north) limited car selection Dragon Hobby - Gerrard east of Broadview (central) good car selection Panther Hobbies & Trains - Dundas west of Highway 427 area (west central) good car selection Dailey Hobbies - Thickson north of Dundas St E (Whitby) good car selection. There are many more shops in the GTA. My two favourites are are marked with an asterisk. Hope this helps.
  8. Fred, might I be correct in assuming pro touring with some seriously wide rubber?
  9. A purchase from Kijiji: 5 Tamiya kits, 1 sportscar and 4 Formula 1 kits: Ferrari 360 Modena, Ferrari F1-2000, Ferrari F2001, Ferrari F310B, and McLaren Mercedes MP4/13 All kits SI $40 CAN or about £25 And BTW, very nice score on the Tamiya Escort RS Cosworth Tomo :)
  10. Antonio, very nice sets of Aoshima wheels. I really like the Vienna's. May I ask, where do you order your wheel sets from?
  11. Woody, always good to give a shout out to Gregg.

  13. Marcus, if they have a nose for plastic, then you have taught them well.
  14. Thanks Tom. There will be more than a few travellers who will appreciate this gesture. Catch a few z-z-z's after registering and getting our room, and then down to the BBQ at 6:00.
  15. Isn't that the truth. That combined with the price of gas makes you pause and think before deciding to go on any long road trip.
  16. One week from now I will be in 'Styrene and Resin Heaven'. That is to say that I will be at the NNL East. This is an annual trip for hundreds of loyal fans. There are a group of us that travel together from southern Ontario. The trip is just a little over 500 miles from my place (Toronto) to Wayne. We leave early enough on Friday to be able to enjoy the Friday night camaraderie. I'm just wondering what sort of distance are you willing to travel for your favorite hobby addiction? Throw in those ocean crossing numbers as well. LOL P.S. For my good friend Peter, who does the driving, add an extra 100 miles to the distance one-way!
  17. Curious Jonathan, were you happy with the results of your paint using an A/B?
  18. That video was projected on-screen, behind the band when I saw them play on their last tour. Excellent show they put on.
  19. Your plastic engineering skills, as others have stated, are always top shelf. I am always drawn in by the fantastic paint jobs hat you consistently lay down as well. Many thanks for all of your creative posts which 'fearlessly go where few modelers dare to venture'!
  20. Of the modern race car liveries, this one is truly beautiful. Your detail painting of the engine bay, nicely brings out the details. Outstanding decal skills on this. Exceptional build all around.
  21. Beautiful job on this unique Mustang. Fantastic masking skills to get that paint job. Congrats.
  22. What a sweet looking Saleen. The paint colour really suits it.
  23. Nice save on a beautiful Mercedes. Old Tamiya decals are like trying to bend 1/2" plywood around a curve.
  24. These new Subaru/Toyota/Scion's are real eye catchers. Fantastic job on this one Derek.
