Yes they are Jim, just not readily so. I live in Toronto which is fairly large population wise. Generally most local hobby shops don't carry them. I don't believe Michael's does either. There used to be a local business Airbrush4U that carried a limited amount of Createx/Wicked colours. I buy any Createx paints that I see when visiting the US. For current searches, I just type Createx paint Toronto into the search engine. There is an online airbrush source, Maple Airbrush Supplies (Edmonton, AB) that carries Createx.

We were a FoMoCo family. My dad's car was a full sized Ford. When we were lucky enough to become a two car family, one of my mother's cars was a Maverick. At 16, when I got my license, the Maverick was my introduction to the freedom of the open road. I wiil definitely be buying this kit, especially if it is a stock Maverick.

All of those Tamiya kits are still very much sought after. A very good score even if they off their sprues and bagged.

Yes Carl, it comes as a kit. The instructions are good, as is the parts fit. The only step that challenged me, was the installation of a couple of snap rings that hold gear assemblies together.

I also like mine, especially when multiple, repetitive holes need to be drilled. I made a small modification to mine.

My only disappointing experience with a knock-off was with a Veda airbrush. I always learn to disassemble new airbrushes, prior to use. After using and then cleaning the Veda, I started the reassembly process. I was reinstalling the needle chucking guide back into the body. When properly installed, the threaded portion should stop turning. It did not with this airbrush, and the needle chucking guide just kept advancing in the airbrush body until it was way forward of the trigger location. That airbrush was cannibalized for useful and usable spare parts (needle spring, needle chucking nut, etc.). It was no great loss as it was $20 something when purchased. It was a lesson learned though, with no cheap airbrush purchases to follow.

That's the same lack of careful packing that I've experienced from Amazon's model shipping. Looks like lots of pieces have been removed from the sprue in the picture. I sure hope that it is complete.

I'm heading down to the NNL East shortly. Besides great models on the tables, I'm thinking that the vendors might have some items of interest. So what shows up today? My order from Hobby Search. LOL

Thanks Ken. The artwork is good. But the artwork combined with a tin box is not enough to entice me into buying another.

Would I be correct in assuming that the contents will be the same as those in this boxing? I have a couple of this version as well as an original.

Another possibility with Tamiya acrylics, start with Hull Red XF-9 and adjust that to your liking. X-3 (Red) and X-9 (Brown) are gloss acrylic paints. A blend of these would require a dull coat. Tamiya XF paints are flat colours.
