  1. And here are a few more ...
  2. Thanks Jeff.
  3. The story continues … And now, a few of the finished models.
  4. The school year has been over for about a week now, so I thought that I had better post the pictures of my Grade 5 class’ model cars. It was the most ambitious effort to date, in terms of painting and assembly. Again this year, we left a few parts off, as they would have been too fiddly and frustrating to assemble. All in all, I think they did a great job and I am very proud of all of them. I think that they are quite proud as well. I will let the pictures tell the story. This year’s project: The process: The photo story continues ...
  5. I would sincerely appreciate it Rob, if you decided to go ahead.
  6. If you follow David's link, you will understand.
  7. All the best to you Bob. May you and the Billet Gods always hang out together!
  8. Welcome back to it Phil. Lots of choices in kits. Which one are you thinking of starting with?
  9. Looks fantastic Gary. Do you have any shots of the interior?
  10. Inspirational piece of model building to say the least. What a great two tone combination.
  11. I have often had this kit in my hand at a lhs, but have put it back on the shelf. The excellent quality of your build has convinced me to buy the kit the next time I see it.
  12. The interior is so amazing that it looks ready to hop into and take a drive. I really like the look of the single bar across the back as an anchor for the seat belts, instead of a full roll cage.
  13. Mitchell, everything that I have seen you post is an "A-plus offering". I'm sure this will be of the same quality.
  14. Andre, I should have taken advantage of the outdoor painting weather as well. Another Porsche off to a great start.
  15. Great added detail work. I have this kit as well, so I am happily following your progress.
  16. Definitely go for it Charlie.
  17. 32 of the Revell Ferrari 458 Italia kit. Didn't actually take delivery, but paid for them. They are supposed to arrive next weekend, however, I will be in heaven at the Wayne PAL. Can't wait to be on the road this coming Friday. This will be the kit that I will do with my grade 5 class, starting near the end of May / beginning of June. Last year's '32 Ford 3-window coupe was a huge success!
  18. Well said Howard. It is all about the enjoyment, in what ever form that takes. Scale? They are all good ... 1/12, 1/20, 1/24, 1/25 for cars, and 1/32, 1/48, 1/72 for aircraft. Earnings figure might just be a wee bit inflated.
  19. First thing that came to my mind was "Cool Hand Luke".
  20. Thank you for your reply. I have visited the Harder and Steenbeck website a couple of times. All of their products appear to be of amazing quality. We only have one Harder and Steenbeck distributor/seller in Canada. I will get in touch with them. I will also try your airbrushing technique on the 458 Italia that I have just started. Canada is a no-mans-land for paint. We cannot get Scale Finishes here either, as they no longer ship by surface mail. I guess that I will just have to continue decanting Tamiya spray cans. LOL I really enjoy your Youtube channel. Again many thanks.
  21. Tom, I am curious about a couple of things, after watching your video on priming and painting the chassis plate. The airbrush that you are using appears to be a Harder and Steenbeck model. If so, which model / nozzle size, and what do you think of it? The other question is in regards to your airbrushing technique. It looks like you rapidly go on and off the paint with your finger quickly moving forward and back. Did you develop this method? Is there an advantage to this rather than a constant pull back on the trigger? I am always on the the lookout for new airbrushing techniques. I watched your video on painting the dark green '32 Ford. Superb! I wish we could get Zero Paints here in Canada. Thanks in advance. And, sorry for all the questions.
  22. JC, would that be a picture taken at the old Nurburg Ring? F1 cars in the guise of WRC cars. Can't imagine the punishment on both driver and car. Will be tuned in this weekend. Now that Webber is gone, no reason to cheer for RBR.
  23. I'm sure that any Badger, Paasche, or Iwata owner will tell you that you get what you pay for. Things to consider ... warranty, service, parts availability ...
  24. Daryl, here's the information on Sunward: Sunward Hobbies 2700 Dufferin Street, Unit #51 (Just north of Eglinton Ave.) I have heard good things about it. Have not been there yet as Wheels and Wings Hobbies and Hornet Hobbies are my two LHSs.
