Hey Jonathan, what brand? Did you get one with an air tank? I like your paint jobs, so was curious as to what you valued in a compressor.

Nie, in this thread, I have lost count of how many Tamiya 1/12 F-1 kits that you have bought. 6 ... 7 so far? LOL

Definitely have to agree with what Nacho Z said. Not only is it a great livery, but you knocked it out of the park. I am, however, Porsche biased. All 917s and 956s look outstanding in all their liveries! LOL
-
I like them all. Especially like your trio of GT-Rs. The decals on that R-32 must have been challenging. The HKS livery looks great. Well done on all.

Are these going on a Porsche, Ferrari, or other? LOL

Looks like someone will need a lot more display space, with all of the big scale F-1 kits that he is buying! LOL

Rich,to see your model first hand at the NNL, will make my trip from Toronto worthwhile.

Nie, IndyCals sells high quality replacements for almost all Tamiya F-1 cars. About 125 RMB plus shipping. :-) http://www.indycals.net/decals/f1/75ferrari312t.html

Nie, thanks for the comparison of the two kits, and the picture showing the bodies of both side-by-side. They do look to be pretty much the same in terms of proportions. My understanding of a curbside model refers to no engine, chassis or interior detail. These days, most people refer to a car with no engine detail as a curbside.

Nie, nice kit to acquire. I am curious as to how it compares to the Tamiya kit. I know that the Hasegawa kits are curbside style, but how do the body proportions compare? Bill

Agreed, under hood looks very good. Great scale affect.

Real enough to drive. You have posted some fantastic builds on the Forum. Look forward to future postings.

Very slick looking (in a Great way) Viper. Yes, I dig this!
-
Simply beautiful.
-
Do you have any under-the-hood-shots? Would really like to see them, in fact more pictures would be good.
-
x 2 Did you make your own fender flares or did you get them from a kit? They look great, and will allow for much improved rim/tire combinations.

First off, welcome to the Forum Paul. I'm like you in that I have many started but few finished. When I see a finished model, my eyes are always drawn to visible mold lines and parts seem lines. Call me crazy. LOL Something like an out of box build is finished at the comfort level of the builder, so may or may not be important. The completed model that do puzzle me are the ones that are immaculate ... paint, fit, finish, details ... however no seem/mold lines have been removed from radiators, engine blocks, transmissions, exhaust systems and so on. If the builder went to theses lengths to achieve realism, why leave behind blemishes that give the finished model a toy-like appearance? I know, I know, this has been covered a million times before. And of course, this is my take on things.

Mike, I sure hope you will post the race version in the Under Glass section, when you are done. The Cosmo is a beautiful looking car which rivals the Toyota 2000 of that time period.

Yes, welcome back Wayne. It is great that your return to the bench gave you such a sense of satisfaction. And yes, hopefully you will return to the bench much more frequently in the future! LOL -

The .5 needle/nozzle from an Iwata Revolution series is cross referenced as the optional set for the Iwata HP-CS. I have done this to my HP-CS, and it is much more forgiving in terms of paint viscosity. You can download the parts/users manual for an Iwata Revolution. This will give you the Iwata part numbers for the needle, nozzle and nozzle cap. Hope this helps. I just found the information for the 0.5 needle. The Iwata part number is I 617 1 -
