  1. I have to confess that I don't know a lot about Mopars. Mostly being from a Ford family. However, I saw the following in a local Kijiji ad and couldn't pass them up. I paid about $7.85 per kit, all except one still in the shrink wrap. Did I do okay at that amount paid for each? Here are the kits:
  2. Looks like 1990 something on the NNL sheet under the model. Definitely a very cool salt flats style racer. I don't think the prototypes in the background have cigarette advertising. They are two Tamiya kits, the Tom's kit and the Minolta 88 CV I think.
  3. As far as Canadians not being able to enter, it has nothing to do with Revell, Stacey David or Gearz. It has everything to do with our Provincial governments and their multiple levels of bureaucracy. That is what precludes us from participating in this contest. On a more positive note, I love watching Gearz on Saturday morning as I brew the morning's first coffee!
  4. Excellent tutorial, with easy to follow steps. Thanks for posting.
  5. Flawless paint and a beautiful shade of blue. The carbon fibre treatment under the hood and on the interior accents really adds to the impact. Very nicely done!!
  6. Mark, thanks for all the updates on this project. I was just looking at the front and rear suspension sub-assemblies and wondered why you painted the edges of the brake disks red. Excellent work. Your excellent freehand painting of details is something I aspire to.
  7. Greg, I caught that too. With all of the OP's protests about misinterpreting his message, this kind of shed some light, in my mind anyway. My first thought was, "Isn't this a little pretentious?" But then again, it depends on the value of the bottles of wine and whiskey
  8. I went to my first F1 Grand Prix races in '76. I saw the Canadian GP at Mosport and the US GP East at Watkins Glen. To me, choosing the 1/12 version of the McLaren M23 was a no-brainer. I just hope it would be the James Hunt version.
  9. Brian, there used to be an eBay seller that sold a variety of 1/24-1/25 scale dogs under the plastic model car section. I can't remember the sellers ID. They only list occasionally, so you might have to check listings for a while.
  10. I really like this build in every aspect. Please, do not let the lack of responses deter you from posting. Great quality models, no matter what the type or style, are always appreciated!
  11. As has already been said, excellent build! That interior colour adds a 'rich' feel to the whole build.
  12. John, I hope you get it as well, To me the UOP Shadow was one of the coolest Can-Am cars, apart from the McLarens and Porsche 917-30. I have seen a super kit composed of resin and photo etched pieces, but that was out of my price range. This auction was in my eBay watch list, but I will delete it now that I know you are considering it. Good luck, and I too am curious as to the contents / quality of the kit.
  13. I remember reading in a different post of yours, the fact that you were well equipped except for a paint booth. This appears to be an example of " necessity is the mother of invention". Well done! Now that you have created this, and I hope you feel proud of your success, I'm sure you will find the inspiration to start a build. Good luck at the bench.
  14. I really like the two tone paint you applied. I especially like all the things that you added that were "first tries". Well done, and thanks for posting.
  15. Nice job Brandon!
  16. Your finished NSX looks fantastic. Did you use Micro Set, Micro Sol, or an equivalent to get the decals to look as good as they do? Great work and thanks for posting.
  17. You have an amazing eye for adding detail. Everything looks just right. Fantastic work so far.
  18. I always love the quality of your paint work and choice of colours. This time the graphics were even more fantastic. Amazing imagination and creativity. thanks for sharing.
  19. Tom, it looks great with the decals on. Nice job detailing the engine and compartment.
  20. A word of caution with the Tamiya TS clear. Test spray it on a part of the decal first, such as the decal copyright wording. If things go bad, then no loss. Just don't want to see decals get ruined and a build put on hold. I've got a T-Bolt with Platt decals to do the Georgia Shaker, and would love to see your build finished. Looks great so far and your interior choice for color looks fantastic.
  21. I agree with Jim0205's thoughts. Excellent step-by-step photo and instuctional how to information. The question now is how many do I get? Many thanks Len and Bill!!
  22. Congratulations for not only receiving your multiple certifications, but also for having the foresight to continue with specialized diesel training. Nothing like having the right credentials when the demand in a new area is just about to take off! Way to go Kevin!
  23. That is an excellent, easy to understand tutorial. Your supporting images top it off. I really like the idea of using two part putty instead of heated/shaped sprue. Many thanks Jimmy.
  24. I love this Nismo. All of your builds show the attention to detail of a craftsman. Just one question please. The LHS back up light is normal whule the RHS is red. Is this something unique to this car or the JDM?
  25. Your progress looks great so far. Is this going to be a full-on race version with all the decals or street version? I will definitely be watching your progress.
