Kijiji is a buy/sell online marketplace. I believe it is run by the same fine folks behind eBay. It is a cash only setup. People advertise what they want to sell. You respond and arrange a time and place for the in person sale. I usually check it out once a day. Still deciding on which kits will be keepers!

I have to confess that I don't know a lot about Mopars. Mostly being from a Ford family. However, I saw the following in a local Kijiji ad and couldn't pass them up. I paid about $7.85 per kit, all except one still in the shrink wrap. Did I do okay at that amount paid for each? Here are the kits:

Looks like 1990 something on the NNL sheet under the model. Definitely a very cool salt flats style racer. I don't think the prototypes in the background have cigarette advertising. They are two Tamiya kits, the Tom's kit and the Minolta 88 CV I think.

As far as Canadians not being able to enter, it has nothing to do with Revell, Stacey David or Gearz. It has everything to do with our Provincial governments and their multiple levels of bureaucracy. That is what precludes us from participating in this contest. On a more positive note, I love watching Gearz on Saturday morning as I brew the morning's first coffee!

Flawless paint and a beautiful shade of blue. The carbon fibre treatment under the hood and on the interior accents really adds to the impact. Very nicely done!!

Mark, thanks for all the updates on this project. I was just looking at the front and rear suspension sub-assemblies and wondered why you painted the edges of the brake disks red. Excellent work. Your excellent freehand painting of details is something I aspire to.

Greg, I caught that too. With all of the OP's protests about misinterpreting his message, this kind of shed some light, in my mind anyway. My first thought was, "Isn't this a little pretentious?" But then again, it depends on the value of the bottles of wine and whiskey

I went to my first F1 Grand Prix races in '76. I saw the Canadian GP at Mosport and the US GP East at Watkins Glen. To me, choosing the 1/12 version of the McLaren M23 was a no-brainer. I just hope it would be the James Hunt version.

Brian, there used to be an eBay seller that sold a variety of 1/24-1/25 scale dogs under the plastic model car section. I can't remember the sellers ID. They only list occasionally, so you might have to check listings for a while.

I really like this build in every aspect. Please, do not let the lack of responses deter you from posting. Great quality models, no matter what the type or style, are always appreciated!

As has already been said, excellent build! That interior colour adds a 'rich' feel to the whole build.

John, I hope you get it as well, To me the UOP Shadow was one of the coolest Can-Am cars, apart from the McLarens and Porsche 917-30. I have seen a super kit composed of resin and photo etched pieces, but that was out of my price range. This auction was in my eBay watch list, but I will delete it now that I know you are considering it. Good luck, and I too am curious as to the contents / quality of the kit.

I remember reading in a different post of yours, the fact that you were well equipped except for a paint booth. This appears to be an example of " necessity is the mother of invention". Well done! Now that you have created this, and I hope you feel proud of your success, I'm sure you will find the inspiration to start a build. Good luck at the bench.
