  1. Sweet build! Whatcha gonna do with the double blower engine?
  2. LOL!! That is too cool! Where can I get one??
  3. Nice build! Very clean looking and a great color as well. Hope you do well at the show!
  4. Yep, it's the Orange Hauler, that is another fun build. I love to build bubble top show cars. The unusual aspect of the clear canopy as shelter from the elements while driving in a futuristic world seems like a wasted feature when we have snow, rain and uv rays to worry about. Guess they thought "Cool, a clear roof!" and just went with it. BTW, it's now 2010, Where is my flying car?
  5. Yep, Super Shock wave has only 2 jet engines compared to this one, but they are both awesome to see! As for that outhouse, I guess it is the unusual nature of what it is that attracts folks to see it!
  6. Nice build! Looks like you are showing some potential for future builds, keep up the good work!
  7. Thanks guys! If ya like jets, http://www.jetwebb.com/ has tons as well as links to other sites........they even got a jet powered outhouse! No kidding!
  8. My RONCO food dehydrator makes AWESOME beef jerky! It was inexpensive and easy to use and clean!
  9. a new #11 blade and lots of patience, good luck!
  10. I did this build in 3 days from a 1/32 scale snaptite kit that I got off the bay. For a 1/32 scale kit the thing is still 10 inches long! The kit was pretty basic, but I wanted to share it with y'all. I used to go to Great Lakes Dragaway in Union Grove WI to see the jet cars and wheelstanders, this thing sounds like 5 million fingernails on a chalkboard when it makes a run, too cool! Enjoy the pics (more on my Fotki page) and ......comments are always welcome, thanks for looking!
  11. Great Job! Another great custom show car kit!! BTW, I never had any problems with my kit either! It went together real easy and looks great!
  12. Nice Job! The blue that you picked looks perfect! I love that kit as well...you can see my build of it on my Fotki page. I enjoyed building this car so much that I bought an extra kit off the bay and am just waiting for the right time to do another one. If you want to see more about this excellent bubble top, visit this link to the Predicta Project page by Mark Gustafson. It has tons of pics and history on the car! http://www.thepredictaproject.org/ welcome to the madhouse!
  13. Thanks again for the praise guys! And , yes it would be a rush to see that thing tooling down the street at night, all kackeling n stuff!
  14. I am digging that yellow "Twister" myself! Nice rides, all of em!
  15. Another great looking build!!
  16. Excellent looking build!! Very clean! and....I gotta agree with ya there Harry! The new school of F/C's look like wedge blobs with no character at all. I guess that's why I have been gravitating toward the outlaw pro stock and super mods with the old bodies and mountain motors. Now that's Drag Racing!
  17. Thanks guys, glad ya like it!!
  18. Here is my wish list........ MPC Cosma Ray Bubble top, Magnum GT II Bubble top, 1969 Chevy SS 427 (open roadster)Bubble top Monogram Futurista 3 wheel Bubble top Doyusha/Eldon The Invader show rod ....well I can dream can't I?
  19. Bleach works best for me!
  20. Nice digger!!! Love the skinny slicks too!! GJ!!
  21. thanks guys! The work was worth the final result. Wish my eyes were good enuf to wire and plumb it.........
  22. Yep, and that was a big part of my inspiration too! There were several "Back-up" type wheelstanders back in the day!
  23. There used to be a brush paint for models sold a looooong time ago, my dad had some bottles called (and I am not kidding here) DOPE. I am not sure what type of base it was but that was the name. Seemed like a powerful oil base or even marine type application paint. Good luck if the stuff is epoxy based!
  24. See more pics in the "Under Glass" section and on my Fotki page in the wheelstanders album. Comments welcome!!
  25. This build has taken me soooo long! Finally done...the Reverse Engineering Inc. "Surf's Up" Back-up Deora wheelstander! The body was sectioned out just behind the front wheels by about an inch and just behind the rear wheels by about a quarter inch. The front wheel wells were cut off the floor pan to accomodate slicks, skinny slicks donated by forum member to keep the wheel well design intact, engine from the Double Whammy Studebaker kit, aluminum tubing headers, scratch made wheelie bar and roll cage, the door opens just as the real 1:1 Deora did (in the center), the rear springs were scratch made out of pvc pipe cut in half moon shape, the battery was scratch made from electronic connectors (thanks to forum members for their ideas!) Gas tank scratch built from acrylic rod, custom made decals on my inkjet printer, paint is Testors One Coat Laquer "Mystic Emerald" Green clearcoated with two coats of Future. Sorry it's longwinded but there was a lot to this first true custom build. More pics on my Fotki page in the wheelstanders album.....Comments Welcome!!
