  3. Very Clean build!! I am digging the paint!
  4. Sweet Build! I only got one problem with it............it's not mine!
  5. The woodwork looks VERY authentic! Great Job! I personally do not care for the choice of rims. ....they remind me of those I used to have on my slot cars. 'Eh, personal preference.....still an incredible build!
  6. for slicks, I put them on my drill and hit the glossy area with sandpaper till they look right. As for regular road tires, I still have yet to find a good technique on what you are looking for!
  7. I'm digging the paint color....retro old school! Don't sit on the shades dude!
  8. Cool! Front end reminds me of a Porsche....Awesome
  9. Freakin awesome!!
  10. I feel that The Detailer is an excellent product! I use the black all the time for grill work and engines. Blue for exhaust bluing and other stuff. It's water soluable so clean up is easy. But if you put it on too thick it can peel off. For the price the stuff can't be beat!
  11. I think the best way to start a build is to think about it for a few days if not more and get the build in your minds eye. That is helpful for sure! As far as something extra that you are looking for.......ya gotta think outside the box to come up with that. Try maybe a remote operated flying attack drone that can be launched from the vehicle?
  12. This is going quite well. All the builds look sooo cool! But what's with the "Caravan" thing? Is this the Military or a Mad Max Movie? Mad Max, Max Headroom, it's all the same! LOL!! A diorama of this build would be the size of a tennis court! I would love to see a poll at the end of the build with all the individual builds pictured.
  13. Thanks Guys! The decals I made using MS Paint and Ink Jet Decal paper made by www.Papilio.com After you print the decals on the paper, you just spray coat the paper with Krylon Clear (gloss, or FLAT like mine), cut them out and Voila! I guess the inspiration was from the old "Max Headroom" tv series. They actually had a place on the series called "Nightingales Body Bank". I really wish I had the patience to do the weathering better, but using enamel rattle cans don't work too well with the salting technique. Best to use airbrush acrylics per Cranky. But it has been fun, I learned a lot!!
  14. Nightingales Corpse Removal is done! I haven't the experience or patience to do the aging process as well as the crank, but here it is, an Ill fitting Polar Lights ECTO-1 Snap Tite kit I might add! I just completely ran out of patience with this one! Features: The black hoses on the side lead from the "Blood Vaccume" on the roof to a longer hose housed in the back of the vehicle for sucking up excess blood. The Brass tubing near the broken ladder on the side leads from the fuel tank to the flame thrower fuel tank mounted on the roof. Flame thrower is for cremating mass amounts of bodies and fighting off hordes of attacking zombies. It has the obligatory siren and lights, bullet holes, cracked windshield, some rust and greyed out white walls. Comments..........
  15. I think it would be pretty cool if you can pull it off! Good Luck!!
  16. I just love the Glidden car...but, Yours Looks Great!
  17. Nice looking color combo on that Camino! Isn't it great when all the parts of a kit fit where they are supposed to and aren't difficult to handle!
  18. Very cool looking build! Great Job!
  19. Cool die cast car, great job! Always loved watching WJ and Glidden battle it out! Wish they made more of Glidden and WJ car kits!
  20. Great work on a strange but cool show rod!! Like Khart said......it needs a figure of "The Absorbent One!"
  21. Well, I tried the salt technique with rattle can enamel and it worked...so..so. I am gonna try a few other things as well. Cranky, ya gotta make sure them zombies is double-dead! Nightingales Corpse Removal picked one up by accident and it was a hoot watching the poor thing trying to get out of the body bag! Finally we just had to dump it in the purple pond to drown! LOL!
  22. Nice Build! I did that same one when I was a kid. It was the first issue....Jeeeez am I old or what!? Really digging the TP!!
  23. I will give it a try tomorrow and post results, thanksalotdude!
  24. That is me in the pic, and no Unfortunately I did not paint the guitar. It was done by one of the professionals at Dean. And the detail is incredible! But enough about Michael and Dean......Get Modeling! LOL!
