  1. Nice 32! The colors look good, and the red wires are a nice touch! Sam
  2. What a crappy truck - just like it's supposed to be! Great work on this model! The weathering and "dust" is just about perfect. That rack must h ave taken a while to build, too. Nice job! Sam
  3. Nice, clean 48! Are those taillights in the bumper guards? Be careful backing up! LOL Great model! Sam
  4. Ray, I'm one of those old guys (62) who built model cars in the 1960's. I returned to the hobby a few years ago, and have learned a ton of good things from this forum. I've used aftermarket parts (photoetched grilles, resin bodies, wired distributors, etc.) that we didn't have back then. I remember using thread for plug wires. My mom had a spool of black carpet thread which worked well. It was thicker than normal thread, and not fuzzy - had some kind of coating on it. the kits are better now, too. Better molding, more detail. I'm enjoying it, and you will too! Sam
  5. Very well done cars and diorama. I like the engine sitting in the shed with posters on the wall and door - nice touch! Sam
  6. Beauties, all! I like the weathered camper on the 34 Ford. Sam
  7. Very nice! Great finish, love the black and red. My former father in law had one like that years ago, but with a black roof. It was sharp! He kept it garaged and spotless. When he put it up for sale, it went in one day! Sam
  8. Great model! The color and whitewalls look just right. When I was a teenager (1960's) a neighbor had a Dauphine. We thought it was weird! Sam
  9. Holy cow, that's a beast! Great concept, well done. Looks mean! Would those Mack tires be solid rubber in their day? The ride would shake your teeth out, but be a blast! Sam
  10. Very cool! It's hard to beat a 32 Ford! I can picture that 32 at a drag strip on a Friday night with flames shooting out those pipes when it jumps off the line! Yeah! Sam
  11. Those flames look great! I have a 49 Merc that could use one of those masks. Great colors, too! Sam
  12. The Cobra is really good. The rear fender curves are just right. Amazing for a blind man! Great talent!
  13. Perfect classic pickup rod! Great finish and detail work! Sam
  14. Great concept, and really well done! Looks elegant! Sam
  15. Here's a 32 ford Phaeton I just built. It was a pretty simple build. I lowered the suspension a couple scale inches, and used the custom wheels and tires from the AMT 41 Chevy pickup kit. I wired the engine and made a paper Coleman cooler and a craft wire rack for it in the rear. Finish is Krylon Pumpkin Orange. Oops, forgot the license plate. I'll out it on later. This was an enjoyable build. I hope you guys like it! Sam
  16. Love the Deuces! Both beautifully done! Both great color choices, but I like the yellow best! Sam
  17. Maynard, I've used that luan plywood for sidewalks and the floor of my garage diorama. It looks like concrete with some fairly thick latex paint (gray or white) on it. I also used it on a wall with brick paper glued on it. Nice stuff, and cheap! Sam
  18. Very nice! I like the colors and the engine detail. I like the older Vettes with the white side panel and whitewall tires. Nice work! Sam
  19. That's beautiful! Great work! The colors really look good! Sam
  20. Great blend of PT and VW! Great color! Call it the P-Teetle, maybe? Sam
  21. Very nice work! The last photo is great - looks so real! I like the black and red colors. Sam
  22. I would swear that was a real bike in those photos! Great job on this Honda! Sam
  23. I use a heat gun......carefully! The metal lids expand and come off easily. Apply heat for only about 3 or 4 seconds. Sam
  24. Oh, yeah! That's cool! Great color, nice engine detail, clean! Sam
  25. It's a beauty! Great color and perfectly done! Very clean build! Sam
