  1. I'm working on a Yenko deuce Nova out of the COPO kit. Not quite finished yet but just about.
  2. http://www.ebay.com/itm/REVELL-98-SALEEN-MUSTANG-SPEEDSTER-1-25-MODEL-KIT-MINT-FACTORY-SEALED-M2509-/190627843792?pt=LH_DefaultDomain_0&hash=item2c624e0ed0#ht_1161wt_1166 WOW what a steal!!! lol
  3. That's less of a street runner and more of a street burner! Awesome job
  4. I'm in the process of reading "Cannonball" by Brock Yates and "American Muscle Supercars". It's all about the cars made by Yenko, Motion Performance, Mr. Norm and others.
  5. I've used the Night Shade product from them on a few 1:1 cars and it works well but never tried on a model.
  6. Most of my "junk" builds that I finished early on in my model building career have either been rebuilt or used as for parts but I do still have 1 that I had forgotten about until I saw this thread. It's a 66 Fairlane that AMT made I believe. It is the "Rides" edition so of course it has the way to big wheels. Its painted Ford engine blut with side pipes that don't line up with the molded-in exhaust. The hood scoop that was kit supplied didn't fit so I used a dremel to smooth out the glue spots left behind and you can tell it was my first time using it. The rear end didn't mate with the body so I cut the chassis at the gas tank and re-positioned it and painted it all black. I think it looks like ###### now but at the time I liked it. I'll post pics later as my camera battery is recharging.
  7. PM me when you get a list and we can talk. I'm always looking at buying some kits.
  8. I am by no means a purist, in fact every car I've owned I had to modify in some way. I love the uniqueness of this build. Ain't that the whole point of being in this hobby? I mean push the limits and see what kind of new and creative things we can dream up. i personally love it and wish I could see it in real life!
  9. I don't have any pics but I have a 94 Ford Crown Vic. It has 161000 miles on it and still runs great. It was a detectives car in North Carolina so it has the heavy duty suspension and police package brakes, just not the interceptor motor . It does however still have the old school car phone
  10. Near my hometown a couple of guys actually did successfully tear down and sell a bridge. It was no longer in use obviously. But the funniest thing is.................no one noticed it was gone for almost a week! They were later caught but still that'd be one heck of a funny way to end up in jail.
  11. I have all my brushes, paints, sand paper, etc. in a lil 17 inch tool box I got at WalMart and it works for me.
  12. Normally a ballast resistor would correct this problem. I know a lot of the time if you put LED bulbs in cars they will either blink way to fast or not at all. But then again that is a DC system so I'm not sure. I know car electronics more than bikes.
  13. I had a 95 Monte Carlo Z34 and man would that sucker run! 3.4 liter DOHC, dual exhaust, painted color-matched wheels. It was rough in some areas but it was alright. I ripped off the rear mufflers and straight-piped it. Later traded it in on a Kia Sportage..........big mistake.
  14. I'm sure they will all be sold before they are even built. And that hood is quite over inflated if you ask me
  15. Chevy has just announced that they will be bringing back the COPO Camaro to be used for drag racing like Ford's Cobra Jet and the Challenger offered by dodge. They will only be making 69 of them as that is all that was made in 1969. They have 3 engines, a naturally aspirated LS7 and 2 supercharged LS3's. All will be offered with Powerglides as the only trans and will be offered in 5 colors with the decal package to also pay tribute to the ZL-1. Personally I think this is sweeeet and wish I could afford one.
  16. I am in need of some Hugger Orange paint for the Nova I am building and can't seem to find it. I don't have a paint gun or air brush so I need it in aerosol which causes my problem. Anyone here have any help for me?
  17. I actually feel guilty from time to time for having to many started and not finished builds going at one time. Glad to know I'm not the only one who feels weird sometimes.
  18. Thank you all for the kind words. The color is actually just Rustoleum Metallic blue with the Testors Wet-Look clear
  19. Here is an S10 I finished not to long ago. I added a few custom touches like shaving the door and tail gate handles, front turn signals, tail lights and third brake light. Also ditched the stock wheels for the wheels from the 35th Anniv. Camaro, as well as its powerplant. Please excuse my crappy pics. I know its not quite up there as some of my fellow builders quality but I'm proud of it anyways.
  20. I dig the color and the tinted tails!
