57 chevy pro mod w.i.p (updates 11/11/12)
doggie427 replied to tyrone's topic in WIP: Drag Racing Models
Fantastic build Tyrone ! You should be very proud of this outstanding effort. -
Made sometime between WW1 and WW2. Waukesa engine ?? Used in the orchards and garden farms around the Niagara Peninsula. Sorry, not great pics.( i-phone ), and in a rush. If anybody needs better reference shots PM me and I'll stop and take better shots next time I'm in the area (Fort Erie,Ontario) near Buffalo.

Great workmanship !

Very nice start Steve. You are correct about your Beaumont history. I assume you know they came with Chevy engines and the S/D models had killer engine combos.GM marketed several different Chevy lines partially rebodied as Pontiacs. The Canadian Pontiac version of the Vega was called the Astra and Bert Straus (Chilly Willy gasser fame) ran one w/Chevy s.b. in Pro Stock. I think it took the NHRA a while to legalize that one.

Beautiful start Ryan ! I'm happy to see the stock firewall, something a lot of people overlook.

1940 ford pick up
doggie427 replied to crazyrichard's topic in Model Trucks: Pickups, Vans, SUVs, Light Commercial
Love this build !......I'm with Jantrix ,don't ruin this beautiful paint, build another !( Not that anyone should ever tell you what or how to build) Great idea with the Opel Blitz. I've always liked exploring alternative histories and 'what ifs'. The idea that after WW2 , hotrodding flourished in Europe, has always been an interesting avenue of thought. Twenty years ago Andy Martin (Aardvark resins) built a Porsche bodied/powered funny car that's still influential.Others have built Nissan powered BMW Dixies, rodded Kubelwagens, chopped Mercedes-Benz'panel deliveries etc., so it's a wide open area of building. Have fun and keep building great models ! -

1967 Shelby Mustang hood ?
doggie427 replied to doggie427's topic in Car Aftermarket / Resin / 3D Printed
Thanks for the thought Greg ,but you're right, I'd like a "stock Shelby" hood. Wayne -
This is the chassis (Don Kirby ) IIRC I don't know if this helps much ; at least it shows you the seats and rollbar, suspension details etc.

Does anyone cast one in 1/25th that will fit the AMT '67mustang ??

Beautiful !
