  1. Slowly making more progress here. I got the intake set up finished and am waiting to paint the Speed City resin valve covers before I install it : The valve covers are beautiful by the way and I highly recommend them. A tip o' the hat to Scott at Speed City. Also got some detail on the dash and roll bar: The steering wheel came from an AMT 57 Ford kit and can any one guess what kit the awesome carbs came from? I also have the rest of the interior done and now just need to paint the body. Keep a modelin' boys' grumpy gus
  2. I hear ya Joe. I had a 2004 Dakota that had less room inside than the 2003 Ranger I have now . They are both single cabs. Always felt like the dash was right up in my face in the Dakota. grumpy gus
  3. Looks good to me . grumpy gus
  4. Man I haven't seen one of those in forever. Remember my brother building one and painting it Testors Sapphire blue with injector stacks sticking through a clear hood. Nice work grumpy gus
  5. You can get the max wedge engine and the scoop in the Lindberg Color Me Gone super stock kit. Might make things a little easier for the engine. grumpy gus
  6. Nice job and good engine choice . I'm not a fan of the wagon wheels though. grumpy gus
  7. Evil looking machine . Love the engine too. grumpy gus
  8. That is beautiful . grumpy gus
  9. Nice paint and good detail work. grumpy gus
  10. I like this one a lot! One small suggestion if I may - paint the radiator cap. Your underhood detail is so nice that it would be a shame to leave out that one small item. grumpy gus
  11. I want to remove it because it softens the detail like a thick coat of paint does. Especially on small parts like the alternator and carbs. grumpy gus
  12. That looks great! Nice details. Like the tailpipe. grumpy gus
  13. I think it looks good Don and just move on to the next one until your skills show improvement. A tip for taking pics is to always have the light source at your back. grumpy gus
  14. Ok everyone, I tried the yellow can Easy Off and after 3 applications it has removed almost all of the clear coat. So it does work if you have patience. I let it stay on the parts overnight each time. Thanks for all the tips. grumpy gus
  15. For a sand cast aluminum look I like Humbrol aluminium #56. Check out the transmissions in the following pic. grumpy gus
  16. Just wondering about delivery times on his products. grumpy gus
  17. I like it a lot! Very unique idea . grumpy gus
  18. And don't forget the Rommels Rod. It was reverse engineered. grumpy gus
  19. These came from Hobbylinc: grumpy gus
  20. That is some nice work Brett. Good paint. grumpy gus
  21. What is this indestructible clear coat that Revell uses underneath their chrome? I use Purple Power to strip chrome and paint and this is the only thing I have found so far that it won't strip off. Chrome comes off in 5 mins but the clear never budges. grumpy gus
  22. This is going to look good Greg. Keep going. Some Merc style headlights with the full glass cover would be one option. grumpy gus
  23. Hey Rob, I've tried all different brands of flat black but the best I have used is plain old Testors in a spray can. Comes out nice and flat every time and doesn't have an overly rough out of scale texture. grumpy gus
  24. Man that is a little jewel. grumpy gus
