I still have my Shelby record from the 68 GT 500 kit, and enjoyed playing it at 45 rpm's to make the cars sound faster when I was a kid. It still plays well after the abuse.

I have a 55 Ford Fairlane and 56 Chevy Belair sedan, both very buildable, not quite up to the Modelhaus standard, but they didn't cost Modelhaus money either.
The engine is an easy swap if you don't like it, what rear end and suspension does it have? Traditional or late model high tec like the roadster. I suure would like a buggy spring and a quick change this time.
Went today, contest models looked great, at least what I got to see of them. Took my grandkids and they were ready to leave way before I was. Anyone got any pics?
It's short alright! It represents an altered wheelbase drag racer, and so short is right. The chassis and interior are simplified but us teenagers back in the 60's loved 'em.
