  1. Yes, I know the AMT parts are bad, but the two units are completely different. I'm looking for a good late FI setup, might be able to cross breed one and fake it.
  2. The old 8 cylinder A/C compressor wouldn't live with the higher RPM's the Fuelie engine would turn. Also the engine lacked the low RPM torque to idle with the load of the A/C on. Driveability nightmare.
  3. Is this the only currently available kit with the late style Rochester FI unit? I'd love to find one that was better detailed.
  4. Jimmy Flinstone solves that top fit problem for about $15
  5. Too small to be a 124, more 850 sized. I' couldn't get in it.
  6. Thanks guys! I was on the list a long time ago but had to pass when my mane came up because of finances. I thought it was a regular offering now.
  7. Is this resin kit still available? I can't find it on the web site.
  8. 2'nd picture, 3'rd down is a 69 Firebird .
  9. Top 2 are 70 Montie Carlo front and rear.
  10. I was unable to attend, the family had plans. Anyone get photos?
  11. I was a teenager at the time the show came out, and I did buy and build the 1/32 kit because it was all that I could get. But yes, I was HIGHLY disappointed that had no engine and that it didn't fit with my other models.. Not all Batfans were pre-teens.
  12. But it was 1/32, and didn't look right next to 1/25 models. Also was a simple curbside kit, not the full detail kit we wanted. Same with the Black Beauty.
  13. It looks to be that a young boy, perhaps about 12 or 13, had a well stocked parts box and wanted a 1/25 scale Batmobile when the TV show went on air in '66, but all of the kit manufactures were asleep at the wheel. You can see where it had fins at one time, and I'd bet it had some kind of front windscreens at one time too. I guess he couldn't wait 40 years.
  14. Great looking car, terrible name.
  15. Mapquest says 260 miles, 4 1/2 hour drive. How many vendors will be there?
  16. An "annual" is the term we use to describe a kit that was originally released when the subject was a current automobile, so this kit was tooled when the '68 Cadillacs were selling as new cars. The original box for this kit was a larger "flat" box.
  17. That kit's origins were in 1968 as an annual, but the box size and art of yours date it to the late '70's to mid '80's.
  18. The show area was so cramped the kept asking us to stay out so the builders could set them out to show, so I didn't get to see them all. Any one have photos?
  19. A friend of mine worked for Steve Tansey (Spelling?) and helped build the 1:1. Nice build!
  20. Lots of changes were made during the 60's, a dragster built in 1960 looks nothing like one built in 1969. What era are you looking for?
  21. Nice show, small swap meet but over 300 models were entered in the show, plus the club members display only models. Build quality was high.
  22. None of the above kits are from the dreaded early Monogram 69 Camaro kit.
  23. If I come across a damaged magazine in a hobby store I simply reach back for another copy.
  24. That will help me, fixes a problem I had with the same build. Thanks!
  25. Well, if the 64 Plymouth "Lawman" is finally being released maybe this will see the light of day?
