  1. Odd that it's neither fish or fowl, not a cheapo sedan or an A 990 car. Me? I'm adding a Hemi and looking for those "Black Arrow" decals.
  2. I bought the touring car, but a fire truck just doesn't do anything for me. I'll be watching to see if they do others.
  3. My dads father drove Chryslers, my mom's parents drove Fords, and Dad worked at GM and had Chevys and moved up to Pontiacs. My uncle Bud drove lots of Mopars. My first car was a VW dune buggy, and my first job was at an Import car dealer that sold Triumphs, Alfa Romeos, Fiats and Subarus. My wife was driving a Mustang when we married. Somehow I grew into just loving cars, any car. I dislike unreliable cars, and the ones that have done me wrong are Triumphs and Hyundais. I also dislike new cars, the styling is terrible and you can't work on them. Of all the cars I've owned my favorites were a 56 Chevy and a 69 Camaro, and my Manx buggy that I've owned over 45 years. If I hit the loto tomorrow I'm buying another 69 Camaro.
  4. Where will they find 500 mile long extension cords?
  5. I don't think there were any Max Wedge cars built in 65.
  6. My Meyers Manx dune buggy, I built it in 1970 while in high school, and drive it more now than ever.
  7. Lot's of people agree with you .
  8. Glad it see what's inside, We call the early ones "low light Ghia's" , but I'd bet most VW "experts" here in the States would call them "incorrect" because they don't look like the ones they remember. They still rag on the ROG '68 Standard.
  9. Very true, FIAT left the US market because US drivers expected cars to actually run and drive! But the buff mags did sing praises when the 128 first came out.
  10. Just like the FIAT 128 Sport, rebadged and built in Yugoslavia as the dreaded Yugo. The buff mags loved the FIAT, the Yugo not so much.
  11. No one kit in particular but I started building with the 1960 and 61 Jo-Han annuals. My dad brought them home and we built them together. I remember a lot of Mopars and Oldsmobiles, and would love to see them again.
  12. The 61 GM full sized cars were quite good looking. Now that we have the Pontiac and the Chevy, how about the Old's and Buick? Did I say I really like the 61 Buick?
  13. Who has to ACTUALITY BUY books or magazines? My local book store (a B&N) has chairs and benches where you can sit and read, and even an overpriced and far overrated coffee shop right in the store. No one ever runs you out or suggest that you buy anything. No wonder sales are down.
  14. How about a 57 Belair 4 door Sport Sedan (4 door hardtop) ? Resin Realm has one. https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=jwtkZ7oTv1o
  15. This is the case, fatigue cracks over and over and over. It's the look he wants and the customer is always right.
  16. I work at a "Collision Center" and we have a regular costumer who has cycle fenders on his 32 Ford 3 window. I can't count the times we have re welded, fabbed new braces and repaired his cycle fenders. He won't let us build heavier braces because "They won't look right".
  17. I'm from a Pontiac family, learned to drive in a 63 Bonneville Convert, that's a 61 Catalina 4 door sedan.
  18. We can only hope....
  19. A Revell 62 Corvette Gasser kit! I've been on a gasser kick lately and my Son did good.
  20. The XR-6 half of the '27 T Turing double kit? Or the MPC "King T " ? I wonder.....
  21. We could only hope that some of the 70's Pro-Stock kits are still around, I'd especially like a Vega without the late Monza type front end.
  22. Get some .023 welding wire, anyone with a MIG should be glad to give you a few feet.
  23. Why not a stock one and let the rod guys modify them to their own taste, just like the real ones?
  24. PM returned. Apparently the photo came from a secured site that didn't want reposing. I'll try to find another.
