  1. OK, now I'm going to have to get my coat, go out into the cold, drive into town, ............
  2. The AMT 66 Nova kit had one in the early releases, don't know about the newer releases.
  3. Exactly why I buy at the hobby shop.
  4. Because of tight money I.m waiting for the touring car, can't wait.
  5. All of that and switching the side trim and interior over to BelAir trim.
  6. Nothing but a little factory kit bashing, just like the windshield and chassis on the AMT 70 Super Bee. As long as the instructions clearly show what needs to be done.
  7. The unpainted stainless body and gull-wing doors put development moneys in the wrong place, didn't help either.
  8. Yep Snake, the Windshield is lower on a hardtop too, same as a ragtop.. Model Car World resin makes a conversion kit, maybe some others too. Surprising that Revell never did this one. The Monogram 1/24 kit is WAY out of proportion, more of a cartoon car. Complaints about too many tri-five Chevy kits in 3, 2, 1.......
  9. "........decals are an OK solution". Not in my book, I'll vote with my wallet elsewhere.
  10. Better than $16 plus shipping for MCG sets.
  11. Anyone got it yet?
  12. Maybe the model companies will figure out that they don't make kits for 12 year old's anymore and include the scripts in PE if they don't want to engrave them on the body.
  13. The Revell 1/25 snapper is the best.
  14. Snow and cold, lots of both.
  15. Also one of my favorite Simpsons bits.
  16. No, you aren't alone. Off the top of my head I also remember "Are You Happy", "Termination", and "flowers an Beads".
  17. I wouldn't expect it in 2015, things don't move that fast these days.
  18. Is issue 191 out yet? Not trying to start a war, just wondering if a trip to the hobby shop is in order. Thanks in advance.
  19. When and how much, that's what I think!
  20. Note that they were showing all of the security they used in the design department. I'm sure the Futura and the other examples were used because they no longer held any secrets.
  21. The clay model they are working on in your video is called Astreon in the film, I cant find anything on it, but the Si-Fi name and the 61 T-Bird type front bumper would date it at about the time of the 59 movie and repaint.
  22. Funny that that video was posted by the site I linked to ! Go back and watch it again, the artwork the designers are working on is obviously from the early 60's, not the 50's. I'll bet this film was made about the same time as the movie. Unfortunately the copyright dates were cropped.
  23. The car was built an Ice blue pearl, and repainted red in the late 50's at the Barris Kustom shop for the movie "It Started With a Kiss". http://www.1966batmobile.com/background2.htm
  24. Thanks Niko, I've been working with resin for decades but in this project I need to actually create body sections, not just glue them together.
