    I was just trying to be funny, as if that's the only thing we can afford to do, and the tractors are sitting unsold long enough to have the tires rot. I could have said John Deer but the dealer is too far away to walk to. Things are going to get more business friendly before anything gets better.

    Mine were twisted and cracked during shipping. I cut mine loose, repaired them and glued them in old school.

    The TH 350 is a completely different trans than a Powerglide (2 speed) , your car was most likely a 3 speed TH 350 (if the 350 ci engine is correct) .

    Bill, I bought my first 69 Camaro is Sept. '72 and have owned several. My advice to you is that if the car is not a numbers matching factory hot rod, and you are intending to keep it is to build it the way you want it. My last one was a 502 with a 4 speed overdrive auto and a Ford 9 inch rear.

    I've seen lots of column shift cars with buckets, even COPO cars. I've also never seen a bench seat in a 69, but that doesn't mean they weren't made. Useless aren't I ?

    Nope, TH 350 or powerglide. The 400 was big block only and required its own crossmember.

    A friend of mine owns a 41 Willys street rod, and I can't even convince him to pronounce it correctly.

    Around here we had Nebo the clown who had a couple of model T's built for laughs, one was a wheelie machine that he drove form the back seat. He also had a two ended Crosey.

    It doesn't have to be a supercar owner, I see a lot of stupidity on the interstates of idiots who think that just because they bought a European sport sedan they can drive 80 MPH in traffic.

    Got a few more inches of global warming yesterday, I just wish it would get above freezing for a while. Just think, it's not even Winter yet.

    There was no need for a COPO 65 Biscayne, because you could order Chevy's biggest engine (a 425 HP 396) in any full bodied Chevy, along with a 4 speed or turbo-hydramatic, and it's 12 bolt rear was available with a limited slip and tons of ratios, all right in the regular order forms.

    Harley Davidson has a small fleet of test ride trailers, and a rolling museum, so I wouldn't be surprised to find that they had several of these.

    I bought a package of tinted transparent folders from the school and office supply row at a local 'mart. There was 3 or 4 in different colors, enough to last years for a couple of bucks.

    I remember back about 15 years ago, reading in the local paper (back when I could still stand to read that propaganda rag) and in the Police reports was a car break in, the stolen item? A car alarm system!

    It seems that everyone thinks they are entitled to anything they want, even if someone else already has it or earned it. I hope nothing of yours is gone.

    A friend of mine had his house broke into last Friday, and his car this Wednesday, (it was not at his house). Break ins are really bad this year.
