  1. Star Models has a lot of R&R kits, I'd get them while you can.
  2. Ignoring reality doesn't make it go away, this kind of scene is a fact of life in most of the world today, and if Americans want to keep their heads in the sand it will soon be common place here too. You can't sanitize reality.
  3. It's about the same here, lots of new snow last night and today, now the temps drop to sub zero for a few days.
  4. Agreed, the car should have been called a T-Bucket as they were always referred to. Hollywood writers always get some detail wrong. Listen to hat athletes have to say about sports movies !
  5. Move your operations to a communist country, expect your stuff to be taken for the general good.
  6. The closest to correct chassis is the 70 and a half AMT Camaro, but it will be short. In 75 the Nova was updated the the subframe the 2'nd generation Camaro was using. (Steering box and tie rods moved to in front of the A frames)
  7. I never could understand how car manufacturers can stop resin guys and model companies from making miniatures (something they would never do themselves) but can't stop people from copying body parts (aftermarket "crash parts") that does hurt them financially.
  8. Just checked the forecast, Mondays low......-5 !! Spring can't come early enough this year.
  9. Thinning bodys that are too thick for the kit parts to fit. It's not hard, just time consuming.
  10. A lot of it boils down to running what they've got, new tools cost money and the economy ain't so good. (despite what you hear on the news). And it doesn't help that we are a shrinking market.
  11. Home alone tonight doing a little modeling and come into a need for a roll of masking tape. A simple roll of masking tape, and I live less than 4 miles from a large mart store. And my stupid Hyundai has made me a pedestrian, AGAIN!
  12. It got to about 50 here too, and all the snow melted in last weeks monsoon and flooding. And guess what?...... I heard a mower running in the neighborhood!
  13. The headlights and taillights are "Frenched", a custom touch that is out of place on a gasser, and a royal pain if you want to build a stocker. I realy wish Revell would have retooled them.
  14. The rodding community is turning away from the high dollar pro built cars and returning back to home built type cars, gasser clones ARE hot and at one time a straight axle gasser type build was considered for project X, so that would have been more in keeping with the car's history. The Tony Nancy interior ripped out and gone, and that custom grille and bar with the hood mods make it look like a 57 Buick it the front end. Sadly, most of project X ended up in a dumpster.
  15. It's been decades since I've got a model car for Christmas but the two that stand out are a 1960 Chevy wagon, molded in blue and a curbside, (craftsman kit?) and a few years later the Monogram 1940 Ford pick-up first issue molded in a greenish blue. (or maybe a blueish green!)
  16. The current project X configuration is almost universally disliked, and not just on H.A.M.B., you should read what members of the tri-five forum had to say about it. One poster said "it was a bad blank hot rod, now it's just another pro touring car"
  17. That's how (and why) I buy it.
  18. I knew about the bench seat in 67 and 68 Camaros, but didn't know about the 69's.
  19. I think it's funny how forecasters can't accurately forecast tomorrows weather are telling us what will happen 20 to 50 years out
  20. I was just trying to be funny, as if that's the only thing we can afford to do, and the tractors are sitting unsold long enough to have the tires rot. I could have said John Deer but the dealer is too far away to walk to. Things are going to get more business friendly before anything gets better.
  21. "Bitter cold returns" is in the forecast for Christmas Eve, I am so over this.......
  22. Mine were twisted and cracked during shipping. I cut mine loose, repaired them and glued them in old school.
  23. We walk down to the Case / IH dealer and watch the rubber tires on the tractors rot....
