  1. U.S. - Electrical system = U.K. - Lucas
  2. Can someone who has one of these kits in hand help me? I need the measurements of the door glass size, and the length of the door? I need them is a project to correct an old Revell 57 Ranchero kit to stock. Thanks in advance.
  3. The bonnet is the hood. As far sa I know the top is the top or roof.
  4. But of course, if that two wheeler is an Indian it is a MOTOcycle.
  5. I'm in with a Revell 57 Ford Ranchero, the chop top multi piece body with the wrong length doors mess of a kit. Going for a corrected to stock build.
  6. Shouldn't they be called Enginecycles anyway?
  7. I bought an R&R 38 Chevy 4 door sedan a few years back with intentions of converting it into a 2 door. It's still in my someday pile.
  8. I think you are wanting the Sedan Deliveries, panel deilverys were truck based. If so all three are out in resin.
  9. Doing anything to it your self may void any warranty you have.
  10. As long as we are back to motor vs engine, Generial MOTORS, Ford MOTOR Co, MOTOR Trend mag. That one was lost over a hundred years ago.
  11. Gangsta, all "gangstas" need to google Al Capone to see a real gangster, and then pull thier pants up and quit acting like a fool.
  12. Sorry, got that one backwards.
  13. This kit started as the 68 Chevelle annual and was converted to a 69 in late 68. It lacks the underhood details because it never had them! Thats the way it was in 68, wire axle through the engine block and all. If you want to improve on that a better (read newer tooled) chassis can be substuted, most use the parts from an AMT 69 Olds 442 kit. When converting back to a 68 don't forget to add the vent wing windows and remove the lower body side moldings. Welcome to kit bashing.
  14. In the strickist form "automobile" translates to "self moving", and steam powered automobiles predate electrics by over 100 years.
  15. Well, it looks like I better go buy something for my wife for Christmas........
  16. I imagine budget concerns didn't let him to do all of the orignaly intended new tooling.
  17. It seems that around here the "in thing" is for kids with these smokey trucks is to cover motorcyclists at stoplights in soot, reving the engines and laughing out loud. I predict it is only a matter of time before the new "in thing" for bikers is kicking in bedsides at stoplights.
  18. No, it doesn't have the stainless liner or tray.
  19. 1906 Peugeot, monoblock construction, twin overhead cams, four valves per cylinder, hemispherical combustion chambers, AND a desmodromic valve closing mechanism. Short of electronic engine managment whats new? And Chrysler had EFI in 1957, and GM had electronic ignation in 1964.
  20. Yes, the Metal Master kits are plastic, but plated like the "chrome" parts in other kits. I have one of the Packard boat tails (unbuilt) that I plan to strip and paint, someday......
  21. I've got two co-workers who "Used to build 'em" building and attending shows / swap meets. Both have bought their first resin body in the last few months.
  22. As long as he doesn't buy any Spice Girls records it's OK!
  23. Didn't the Hemi 'Cuda's and AAR's have larger front wheel openings than the Barracudas?
