  1. Yeah, I see, guess I'll just shut the heck up.....
  2. Seems like you had more than just plastic problems!!!
  3. Some people just take this thing too seriously, we are grown men playing with little cars, isn't that enough fun???
  4. Hey Kerc, I have been asking myself, how the heck did you end up in San Antonio? Come up here to Maryland bro, you will love it and will have more than enough clubs to be part of!!!!
  5. Okay guys, I am not starting anything here, if it gets deleted, well, what can I say. I am just a happy man for this win, that's all I am going to say, everyone has their own opinion and I respect it. As for me, well, I will just keep wearing my Yankee gear like I have always been wearing it, this thing about the Yankees winning because they have all the money just makes me laugh all the time but then again, we have not won since 2000 so how does this money thing work? Anyway, I hope next year someone else wins so that the "money" thing can make sense again, or not! We have enough wins to survive all the criticism that will always come our way. I had a lot of fun this year with sports, between Baseball, Football and Boxing, I have had a lot of high winning percentages, not everyone can say that!!!! See ya next year!!!!!
  6. We are on top of the Baseball world again!!!!!!

    Looks awesome bro!!!!
  16. Thanks Mike, I use Odds and Ends clear, WalMart used to sell it but not anymore, I happen to still have a few cans left. It's very similar to the Plasti-Kote clear and it's made by Valspar. I use the Micro-Mesh cloths to wetsand and polish my finishes, I like to use Maguiar's Cleaner Wax when I am done with the polishing cloths. This product eliminates all the scratches left by the cloths. I also like to use a quality chamois to remove the wax, works a lot better than flannel or cotton which can leave scratches after you finish waxing.
  17. I have been waiting to purchase this kit but if I get it soon I will be entering this little contest!!! Hosted on Fotki
  18. I got the "I need to put some time on my GTO build" flu and decided to call in sick to work today, finished doing most of the engine and chassis work, next I will be foiling the body. I was going to do a bit of weathering on the chassis and engine but decided to leave it as is, I mean, my dream is to some day restore a muscle car and treat it as a trailer queen!! 19. Hey Chris, same here, my dogs can't stand it either, only I am not going to say "unfortunately" like you said, this thing will be part of my modeling tool arsenal!!! My wife bought this thing about 6 months ago and it didn't cross my mind to use it for modeling, thanks for the idea!!
  20. This is gorgeous man, I have 6 of these kits and I am planning on doing one in the near future. Congratulations on a job well done and welcome to the forum, make sure to share more of your work, I have a good feeling we will enjoy seeing more of it.
  21. Very cool Jeff, I'm happy you finally picked up a new camera. One word of advice, never take pictures under direct sunlight, they always come out much better under cloudy or overcast days!!! That's the main reason these came out so cool!!!
  22. I like to thin my water-based paints to a very watery consistency, in this matter you won't have to worry about them ruining your finishes. In these photos, I just let capillary action take over while the pieces of tape cover up my finish. I just heavily dab some paint on top of the tape after slicing it between the panel lines and that's it, works like a charm for panel lines. Of course, if you scribe your lines nice and deep when you first take your kit out of the box it will help at the end. Hosted on Fotki Hosted on Fotki Hosted on Fotki I have also used this method on engines and other small details....
  23. It's not bragging, it's sharing with us your outstanding accomplishments, congratulations!!!
  24. You should've not asked this question here, you will be even more undecided by the time this thread ends!!! Think about it, clear, leave it as is, clear, leave it as is, it's driving me crazy!!!
  25. I can work through anything but my peeve is when a body is not correct. When I think about the Revell Cuda it hurts me to think that they just can't or want to get this thing done right.... Another thing is when they give you decals to simulate the redlines on kit's tires, not only do they look horrible, they are always out of scale!!
