  1. love this build. isnt this a polar lights kit though?
  2. dont jump to conclusions too fast, (like i did), when (if the wife ok's it) i get my nice 8:71 to put on my 440, i would love to run injection but that is another $3500. injected blowers are real nice and run a heck of alot better than carbed blowers. i think i would just go with a more modern type blower hat than the old crower type. if you need anything for this, feel free to ask, i have lots of stuff...... just have to throw it in an envelope.
  3. thanks Roger, i missed that. so, where does the alternator hook up, you say? try this site..... http://www.bigalstoybox.com/cabinet.htm this site is a MUST for anyone building a blower motor, hope to get my 1:1 blower fron these guys..... the link should take you to a page with complete blowers, the pully sitting in front of the blower is the lower pulley, there is a groove in the back of the pulley that connects the crank to the water pump by a belt. i will usually use the stock pulleys in the normal spot and then glue the blower pulley to the crank pulley. you may have to extend the neck of the blower a little, but you can do that with some sort of chrome round spru from your parts box. someone may have a better way..... anyone?
  4. i am a member there too, the forum owner was just on this morning. but i agree with Niko, it took a few days to get my registration OK'd.
  5. if i may, i tend to lean towards 2 carbs and the oval 2 carb air cleaner found in the 427 kits for the street. i like your build, its looking great.
  6. very cool build!! that wedge is really "squeezed" in there. nice job.
  7. beautiful, nice call on the 70's style hood. fits the car well.....
  8. another beautiful, clean build Ron......
  9. sweet !! just super clean. what paints and polishing stuff do you use?
  10. nice. what did you use on the top? reminds me of the old mopar mod tops.

nice build. i think i need to do more converts...... a little side note, i was taken to elementary school in a car very simular to this.
  13. beautiful!! great use of the "parts box".
  14. wow!! totally forgot about tose kits! chalk up 2 more that i have no idea what happened to them..... nice score.
  15. http://www.modelcarsmag.com/forums/index.php?showtopic=68508&page=1 this should take you to it
  16. GREAT GOOGELY-MOOGELY!!! how did i EVER miss this!! maybe cause i dont visit this part of the forum.... oh well, i am here now. there are some really nice builds going on..... some i would like to do but since 90% of my builds are pro street i will get something different. like another, i may need to get the OK on this. its one i have started and if it is too far, Wayne, not a problem, i have a list as long as my arm i can pick from. this is the 70 super bee, i am changing it into a coronet 500, typical lowering of the suspension, channeled the body over the frame to get it lower. let me know Wayne. like i said, i have plenty to pick from, just looking for that push to get back building again for the new year.
  17. first off, nice build, like the color. there are a few of these going now. i have a few myseld on the bench.......... somewhere on the bench....... secondly........ WHAT!!!!! a pro street community build!!! i may just have to visist that.......
  18. beautiful!!! very nice job.
  19. hey Steve, check your pm's
  20. looking good Steve. love this kit and love big tired cars even more!! keep us posted. a little advice for your next cage, the bars in between the main bars can be smaller in diameter. makes it look more real and a little easier to work with. not the clearest picture.......
  21. 1 word posts are allright, i prefer a little more, even if it is critical of the build. a little voice inside says one word posts are just to get the posters number of posts up. on the other hand, you look at "127 VIEWS" and only "3 responses", not too thrilling. . anyways, thats off topic..... like everyone has said, this is a great forum, easy to follow, and lots of subjects matter. you admin guys do a bang up job. KUDOS! ... and a little shout out to the posters and builders out there to keep this forum thriving!!!
  22. great stuff Bill. hope to follow in your footsteps this year also.
  23. nice work!! great to see some pro streeters hitting the forum. i also have one in the works, well gathering parts at least. too many projects ahead of it. keep us posted!!
  24. WOW!! taking a run at some fords. i will check and see if i have any info on these.
