  1. i just got done reading about a Judge painted Orbit Orange. very rare, very cool color! keep going, looking really good.
  2. dont really know..... lots of them out there, so i must be in the minority. i'd judt tub it anyways. really like yours though. a true hot rod!!
  3. still like it with just the steelies......... looking great!!
  4. thanks for the reply. i am not a big fan of this kit, but this thread is slowly changing my mind. very nice clean build and that clear really makes that paint pop!!!
  5. well, unfortunatly, i feel just the opposite. i HATE buying over the internet. i hear way too many horror stories. i want the product in my hand so i can see exactly what i am ploping my hard earned money down for. this obviously does not include dealers you know and trust, but heck, then you have to deal with shipping costs and delivery time. i will take a trade show over the internet any day of the week. i feel Revell blew it by not going. with them coming out with the line up they have this year, its going to be a great year for them. but it would have been real nice to hold that '70 cuda right in my hand.
  6. sweet build you have going. my opinion, i'd run the steelies just the way it is!! btw, can you tell me what urethane clear you are using? never used it before, thought i may give it a try, have no clue where to start.
  7. i like the second option. i would go with a brighter color too. my opinion. not to steal anything, but here is a link to one i have been doing for years. 392 blown hemi, big-n-littles. street rod flavor.....you may have to scroll down a few picts to get there..... have fun with it, i will be watching..... http://s700.photobucket.com/albums/ww10/tubbs1969/
  8. this is true if you build something and put it on your shelf. There are tons of people who build for shows and are out to win and that is the fun of it for them. i felt the same way about photo etched parts and resin stuff for a while. i felt that there should be a class for plastic only. anything goes, just has to be styrene. scratch building and modifications to these pieces allowed. just no "aftermarket" pieces. kind of a modified box stock, if you know what i mean.
  9. nice looking mopar!! yes, that color was dropped, just say it was a first run and a special order car.

    49 Mercury

beautiful!!! every detail is perfect. is the chrome sent out or is it alclad?
  13. great looking build, nicely executed detail!!
  14. a little off topic but.... GO BROWNS!!!!!!! well, the topic is frustation, and it is the Browns......... i guess it IS in topic!!! be thankful you guys have a football team. even if Cutler is your quarterback!!
  15. not to get side tracted, but where can i get the Grotheer decals for the 69 1/2 runner?
  16. i wonder what a Veyron would do on a nascar circuit?
  17. i guess you can say ..... fast is to speed as quick is to time. with the vette, i think it had the fastest speed and the quickest time. sooooooo, the Bugatti is fast, but not quick. i have a headache!!
  18. PO-TA-TO/POT-TAT-TO im not going to split hairs on this one. fast/fast/ Adjective: Moving or capable of moving at high speed. quickplural of quick Adjective: Moving fast or doing something in a short time: "some children are particularly quick learners".
  19. i dont think so........ http://www.thesupercars.org/bugatti/bugatti-veyron/ remember, this is based off of a 1/4 mile time, not top speed.
  20. got to that correction before i did Bill, thanks. if you guys read the article i posted up back in post #25 you can read all about the 5 million + cuda convirt this guy bought...... and drives. just for some reference, my neighbor restores mopars and he helped put together a 69 1/2 road runner for a guy who dropped $13,000 on a pair of NOS rear 1/4's and front/rear bumpers for the car......... no, the owner does not drive that car! but he did put together a cloned 69 GTX hemicar for the same guy who trashes every weekend!!
  21. its hard to understand filthy stupid money. would love to be so rich that buying a car like this would be like us buying a .90 cent hot wheel. these excentrics DO have cars that they beat on and drive. just like Jay Leno drives all of his cars, regardless of price. then there are the collectors who have drivers and cars they collect. the 3 and 4 million dollar cars get special garages and driven once in a while and the 500,000 to a million cars get hammered on!! all so called "collector" cars WERE driven at one point, now they are valuable pieces of history. they can afford to put aside this car and drive the other 30 or 40..... and i myself wouldnt hit a dog iin the behind with a Veyron, just my opinion. i can have more fun in a 79 malibu with a hopped up 350 then i can with some overdone foriegn washing machine! nothing beats American Muscle!!!
  22. love that truck, and the modifieds. great work!!!
  23. oh how true THAT statement is!!!! but id give up all my kits for that cuda convert!!!
  24. i dont know, i am tired of hearing "dont you have 3 or 4 of those kits already?" it may be nice to hear "you smell like smoke and cheap perfume! you didnt go to model club last night, did you?!" for a change. for those of you who can run a project from start to finish without touching another kit are just sick!!! sick i say!!! now where is that new COPO nova i bought yesterday.......
  25. EWWWW!!! good luck with that! not nearly as bad, but last night my 10 year old goes to put some popcorn in the microwave and it just sparks and puffs a little cloud of smoke like you see on those comedy shows.......... you guys know what i will be doing tonight. i could not have said it better!!!
