nice. love to see true modeling, cutting and hacking !! great job...
-
on no you dont!! i am too cheap to spent the money on these resin kits. so when someone starts building one, i like to follow. again, dont be like me and throw this on a shelf !!! we are modelers, we fight thru the "don't fits" and the "injector vs no injectors" ..... KEEP PUSHIN MAN !!!! its looking great. injection is too cool, but i think it would be neat to build one as it started out.

hey Harry, i do not mind any type of breakdown for the under glass catagory, but for me, i would like to see the workbench catagory stay the way it is. reason being that i, sad to say, do not visit too many catagories. with all the builds in one area, i have checked out a lot of builds i normally would have missed. then, if i like the build i can find it in the under glass section. does that make an sense.... -
yea, buddy!!! very nice. your the second one i have seen doing one of these. maybe i will get mine out and follow along..... i will be watching this.
-
hey, why not is right!! looks very, very cool!! both of them. always liked the modern GTO but never found a kit. its on my want list. great job on the frame also. here is a picture for some inspiration on the truck..... this thing is soooo impressive in person.... love how the tubbs extend out of the bed, don't know why.... by the way, where did the resin blower pieces come from?
-
love those Brett. nice builds (in a week?? takes me a week to decide what color to paint a kit.) those were my first ever funny car builds.
-
sweet!! the more the marrier!!! for the motor, how about a simple 350 chevy (yea, i know) with a turbo or 2.....

depends on how much or little room you need. i personally would not flair the wells. if you want the bigger tires, maybe take an exacto blade and scrape the inside of the body (wheelwell area) and shave some off the rails. or just use the smaller ones, i do feel the bigger the better, but you have alot of work iin the build already, plus the smaller ones will drop the rear of the car.

here is some more progress on my coronet. i have the side scoops in place, got a good start on an outlaw hood, ripped the origional tunnel out, made a new one, ripped that out and started tunnel #2, started up a cage, modified that a few times. the bars in the back are too close together to fit the fuel cell under it, so i have to scratch a new one. there will also be 2 uptima batteries and maybe some nitrous in the trunk. i think i am going to change the color to "go-green" instead of orange. started scratching up some new door panels, dont know if i want the interior tubs, floor body color w/ black seats, door panels or do an aluminum looking iinterior?

keep postin, i'll be looking.... and i would go with this hemi along with a hemi hood scoop.

it depends on what is lying on the bench..... i really dont get too picky, i try to use automotive spot putty cause it does not shrink. i have squadron white putty at the moment. as far as stripping automotive paint, i use castrol super chean, it may go by another name, i am not sure, been a long time since i have bought any. by the way, i will have to find out exactly where but i have family on my wifes side living in Australia...... just thought you would want to know that.....

i did a little work to mine last night (surprise!!! ) getting a cage done, of course instead of the nice 6 point, its ending up being a who knows how many points!! and i have to fab up a fuel cell now because the one i want to use is too wide and the cage bars co right over it. i will attack the trans tunnel this weekend. had plans to run a lenco in this, but it being a street car, i will go with a 4 speed instead. will post up pictures soon.
