  1. Very nice! I love the foot controls, they look perfect. G
  2. Desert Classic is April 20 in Phoenix. It's the only time Jonathan will show up. He's afraid of me and Danno together ; ) little he knows my wife will protect him! Jim I'm anxiously awaiting that. Semper Fi and welcome home shipmate. G
  3. Thanks all. @Jonathan, yessir she will be there as will I and MrsG. I already took the day off. @Austin, them's rifle racks mister, LOL I'd put a drink there for sure. @Jim, yup it's the Thing's granddaddy. Chassis is pure Beetle with the tub (kubel) body on top. BTW Good weather is here sir and waiting for you to arrive. G
  4. Thanks guys. Geoff it was a really straight forward build, but you have to watch the fitment of the rear axles to the struts or she'll be cockeyed. That and a ton of visible injector pin marks just where they can be seen. It was a fun kit though, and in that scale easy to weather. G
  5. Here's my latest, a Hasegawa 1/24th scale Kubelwagen. This is a car so I put it here. Tamiya paint, oils and enamels to weather. I wired the engine, but it is so dark I cannot get a good pic. I'll post a new one of that later. G
  6. You never heard of "Black Irish"? G

  11. 72 in the valley, 69 up by my house as we speak. Low 80's starting tomorrow. G
  12. I believe both are new tools of this subject. That said AFAIK either is sufficient. I'm not much of a ship builder so I'd peruse this site: http://modelshipwrights.kitmaker.net/ G
  13. Stunning. John I meant to ask but was rendered silent. When you fogged the pink onto the panel lines, did you use a fine tip on the AB? G
  14. I've had mine set for a month now............................................. G
  15. Mom and Dad got me started. That'd be 50 years ago this spring. Oldest son never built a model, middle son has built one or two, baby daughter (19) is an accomplished builder with awards. This wife (#4) finds the hobby fascinating, and attends shows with me most of the time. She is enthralled with the skill level of the builds, the number of people attending, and Danno. She likes Jonathan a lot as well, but the little critter rarely shows up........................ G
  16. Fantastic paint John, I cannot wait for round two! G
  17. CHP, NHP, MSHP, FHP, MSP, AZDPS, TXDPS, and a whole buncha letters of the alphabet! G
  18. Higher elevations in the Az/Nv area are expecting snow tonight into tomorrow. My house is effected so Kingman, and areas east, definately are. G
  19. I'm waiting for paint.............................. G
  20. 3500 lbs? Heck that's just me, never mind the 5350 for the Town Car I drive. But Jonathan will she ever turn right?
  21. Will less weight mean she can turn right for once? G
  22. Aluminum Model Toys Started with promos in 1948. G
  23. I'd just like to see them turn right every now and then. Just sayin'................. G
