1/24 SCALE IS NOT BAD AFTER ALL
Agent G replied to Dr. Cranky's topic in General Automotive Talk (Trucks and Cars)
You have to know that after hours, when the lights are down, these folks come to life. Wow. G -
A hosedragger huh? Well good for you son, I for one wanted nothing to do with that. I'm a chicken, fire scares me. The closest I ever got was my tour in Bomb and Arson. That convinced me I made the right choice in my chosen profession. Oldest son spent 10 years as a FF/EMT after the Navy and ODS. He's a cop now going on 10 years. Middle son is a NICU nurse. My hats off to him. I could not stand seeing all those critically ill infants every day. Breaks my heart just thinking of that. The baby, my only girl, is in her second semester of nursing school. She wants Labor and Delivery. We are a child friendly family for sure! G

That is why I build so many armor models. My frequent, ahem, screw ups become nicely weathered tanks. G

I get up at 0430 Wednesday through Saturday for work, so I am usually fast asleep at 0300. But when it happens, I have Google Earth to amuse me. G -
Am I the first to lose a model?
Agent G replied to sportandmiah's topic in General Automotive Talk (Trucks and Cars)
Oh so true! #3 was/is a stunner. 5'9" tall and 4' of it are legs, 125 lbs, Long raven hair and looney as it gets. I've been told she's been through three guys in the last four years since we split. All ditched her.............. Now #4, well there's a keeper. I've stated this before but it bears mentioning again. Her comment regarding models was simple. "I'd rather have you sitting at the breakfast bar building a model, than sitting in a bar hitting on one." Those that know her agree she is a keeper. She told me if I quit smoking I could use the money saved on the hobby. That's a no brainer eh? Jonathan the vacation was superb! Thanks you sir! I miss my baby girl, and she is growing up so fast. Vacation with the daughter led to a bout of the almost flu, combined with me being in charge at work all week led to some busy days. Whew, I need a break to recover from the break. G -

I have had a few vandalized while on the table years ago. I also have had quite a few damaged in my house. I discovered it was not the kids or pets, but wife #2. I was building a car, a '49 Ford, and putting a lot of love and attention into it. Well I decided to build two at the same time as a test. I hid the '49 when finished, and took the completed build, an AMTMustang as I recall, up to be admired by the family. Back then my daughter sat nearby building her own stuff or "helping" dad. She was in on the plan, even at 9 she was a good schemer............................ Anyway lo and behold the 'stang was "somehow" damaged within three days of completion. I took the kids, my stuff, moved out and never looked back. G -

Thanks guys! Derrick she used Tamiya clear paints. The eyes are just hollow domes with the pebble finish molded inside. I let her rock and roll and that's what she came up with. Danno she's a nursing student so Goodness knows what she's learning! I do know she scored all A's the first semester. Babygirl's been building since she was seven. G
