Harry that's why I am where I am. We also said you know you are from St Louis if you have ever used the AC and heat in the same 24 hour period.
Or wore shorts, and a parka!
Sure you are not from Ohio?
I have family in Columbus and Cleveland. The weather is the same for sure!

I paid my dues. Typical midwestern St Louis winter was a month of cold and wet, then cold and dry, then ice with snow over that.
We said there were four seasons to the city, nearly winter, winter, still winter, road construction.

I am an Agent of the Nevada Gaming Control Board, assigned to the Enforcement Division. All that means is I am a state police officer who investigates crimes and regulatory issues in licensed gaming establishments. Think trooper without the freeway.
But I do have showgurlz!
I previously retired from the St Louis Metropolitan Police Department after 28 years. I moved west 5 years ago, and began my new career. 33 years total in law enforcement this November.

Everything in primer gray but the A arms, and rear end? those are black. IIRC the torsion bars are unpainted as are the leaf springs. There should be some overspray on the edges of the chassis. don't go overboard, these weren't painted by super flexible robots or long armed gorillas.

December of '08, I'm on the nightwatch completely unaware it had snowed 6 inches in my neighborhood while sleeping. I looked out and was instantly greeted by the strange sight of heavy wet snow on palm trees. Hmmmm, thought I moved here to escape all that. Anyway it was the worst snow in Vegas since 1975, and nearly shut the town down for 24 hours.

"Sentimental Journey" is still up and flying as is "Aluminum Overcast". We lost "Liberty Belle" last year outside Chicago. Thank goodness no one was injured, but the plane was a total loss. I think I heard "Nine O Nine" was grounded for structure issues.
There aren't many of these magnificent birds left.

A bit off the path for me is this build, a Sherman Vc "Firefly" from the Polish 1st Armored Division. Free Poles fought with the Commonwealth Forces and were equipped by them. The Firefly was an adaptation of the basic Sherman. It had a 17lb gun, the shell weighed 17 lbs, and was the only real effective anti tank gun on any allied tank.
They camoflaged the barrel to make it look like a regular Sherman 75mm gun.
This is the old DML kit that required a bunch of mods to get right. None were all that major, just necessary for a rivet counter!
Tamiya paint, masked with Silly Putty.

Looking good MIchael!
Since this seems to be an open ended build, I think I'll do another. I picked up a 2010 GT, and some Grabber Blue paint. Stay tuned for a 'Stang I would drive.
