  1. This was a good time! I already have plans for a another vehicle. G
  2. Well it took some time but I finished this one. I added some markings, C Company, 3rd Marine Brigade (Provisional) Scout Truck #54. Those old enough to remember Car 54 will understand. G G
  3. Warped, twisted, and sick. My kind of humor. G
  4. I do too, but the manufacturer targeted (pun intended) the armor building crowd. The military aspect of the kit, combined with massive amounts of accessories in the popular armor scale, made 1/35th scale a no brainer. G
  5. That's Meng's new kit, a "technical" pickup. Cool stuff there. I really want to get one and do it up like the pics. In reality, our own SF folks and PMC's use the stink out of these in Iraq and A-Stan. G
  6. Actually the water tank wasn't that large. The water recirculated from the tank to the cooling jacket and back again. Whatever got hot couldn't flash to steam as it was a closed system. Think cooling system in your car, where the radiator is the tank. G
  7. Thankya thankya verry much, I'll be here all week. G
  8. Those are Soviet ZSU 23mm anti-aircraft guns. There are as many of those left lying around as there are AK 47's. G
  9. Yeah Virgil, it looks like this particular sect took the time to spray over the factory finish. Most didn't and some really went all out. G
  10. Shawn I played and played and played around with the mounting of the cannon. In the end I took inspiration from some Libyan "technicals" which had a large guns mounted on the back. They just look real wicked back there. G
  11. Pretty! Pretty darn nice! G
  12. Same here, add young women as well. Oh building, well then it's usually police cars I have driven, followed by police cars I wish I had driven, and the vintage police cars. Interspersed are variations of '29 - '32 Fords, usually done in a period manner. G
  13. Thanks all! That's actually a 1/35th scale German 75mm towed anti tank gun. Tamiya makes the kit so I just robbed the parts I wanted and mounted her in the bed. I got it for $7.99 at Hobby Lobby which was a steal, and perfect for this. G
  14. Thank you all for the support. The tracks were "tedious" to say the least. Those double pin tracks have to be laid out on masking tape and the end connectors attached one at a time. Then I barely dab cement on only one side, leaving the other to rotate. It takes a bit to keep track of the procedure otherwise you have a mess. Jim, some kits have one long piece of flexible track, some have two to four lengths of the same, some have solid pieces for the top and bottom with individual links for the rest, and some have all individual links, which is a task in and of itself. G
  15. You all are warped, twisted, and sick. My kind of folks! I had about six hours of build time over the last two days and she's up on her wheels now! Pics tomorrow as I am headed to bed. Back to work, early roll call. G
  16. Good save. I like the refinished bird, but you keep that up and that OD color might not be so easy to find next time. G
  17. Very nice! G
  18. Lighten up Francis, at least my Town Car doesn't have a loose nut holding the steering wheel. G
