  2. Danno, if you persist I just might have to build a General Lee.................................... G
  3. Thanks all! Jeff I put this on the shelf next to my USMC Sherman collection, they don't even look alike. I will build more. G
  4. Very very nice. I dig it. G
  5. I (dad and I ) paid a whopping $2500 for the car in 1973. Put about $1000, give or take, into it. At 16, not quite 17, it was a mind boggling $3100 a year to insure the car, which was nine years old by then. Even if Dad had plated it, the cost was staggering. Skip I guess hindsight is always more rosy. I just loved that car, my buddy's father had one, a '63. He restored it from the ground up, and watching him was fascinating. Oh well, memories. G
  6. Evergreen .060 hex rod, sliced, glued, and sanded down. I find that easier than punching shapes from sheet and cheaper than resin or brass accessories. G
  7. I will be watching this one. I feel your pain. At 16 I was the proud owner of an E Type for one month. Got it running, replaced the top, gave it a shake down, and found out just how expensive insurance was. I never plated the beast, I drove it occasionally "after hours" with Dad's plate hastily wired to the back. Sold it and wish I never did. G
  8. MrsG wants the kitty model stand. The cab is complete as such. Armored glass vision port. Tape covers the clear plastic as primer is next. I have an extensive collection of panzer parts as well. They come in real handy for this type of build. G
  9. Very nice, more please. G
  10. This was built in late '03 - early '04. G
  11. Very, very, nice. Metal or plastic, it doesn't matter. G
  12. B Dub I have the same two kits sitting, waiting, wanting to be combined. G
  13. Virgil those are hatches, working hatches. The better to see inside! G or P or Z makes no difference. MiB all the way baby! G
  14. I sanded the hex rod down so they look like bolts now. I used the kit windows and scratched what will be working hinges. I will make vision slots in the clear plastic, then paint the whole thing like an armored hatch. I'm still working on the windshield and front windows. G
  15. Holy Cow Neal! I bet that weighs 15 pounds less now.
  16. 12/21/12, a date I'm looking forward to. G
  17. Here's where I'm at photo wise. The add on armor as it sits today. The back windows will be hatches hinged to drop down. I'm going to use the kit windows, and fashion hinges. The engine. G
  18. What if, what if, what if..................... What if pigs flew, and monkeys jumped outta your b^&&? G
  19. So the consensus is that Revell has the most accurate kit of a 68/69 Charger? Greg I love that car. G
  20. Bingo! Welcome Back! Love your stuff man. G
  21. OMG YES! G
  22. I honestly had no idea there was such a DOH following. I understand following Daisy, but wow we have a lot of dedicated folks out there. A seperate informational topic makes sense now. G
  23. The one issue I see is condensation effecting the paint. In and out of the cold will cause moisture. I think................. BTW, I ski on a lake Is snow similar to water? G
  24. I have an easy way to make those ball mounts, I'll post later. I was outside enjoying the 65 degree weather and gale force winds. G
  25. Jonathan how hard could it be to scratch those bases? I would try that first using bits and bobs of plastic with guitar string for the actual antenna. Get a set of metal strings, they are perfect for all sorts of stuff, and the E string is the best antenna. G
