  1. Yet again, MrsG walks up behind me and states, "No you cannot buy another vintage car." When I explained what this was, she, yet again, stated "Get the ++++ outta here". We really, really want to see this in April John. G
  2. At this stage you need something "liquid" that can be built up in layers ans sanded smooth. Repeated coats of primer, Mr. Surfacer, or thinned putty would be my choices. Mr Surfacer is a jar of well, thinned putty, LOL. It can fill seams quite well. Another trick I have used is typewriter correction fluid. "White Out" is easy to apply, dries fast, and sands beautfully. It will take any kind of paint and not be affected. G
  3. I bought a bunch of cheap toothbrushes with clear plastic handles in red, blue green and yellow. Cut up or carved they make great lights. Ditto the clear packaging for windshields. G
  4. Yup G
  5. We were blessed with a true Chicago style hotdog joint just a short drive from the house. When MrsG gets to feeling nostalgic, we have lunch there. Snow, what's that? G
  6. Oh goodness yes. I am still trying to wrap my head around the fact that first pic is a model, not the real deal. Very, very, nice my friend, a build to proud of for sure. G
  7. YOUNGER! I have a son older than you! That's MM Laquer? Like, spray can laquer? If so I need that color for sure. It really polished up well in your hands, so I may have a chance to come close. Me and Shiny don't always play well together. G
  8. Yes, there was quite a discussion recently in the "Resin" section. G
  9. Fear not Dirk, my understanding a kit of that LX is due soon from Revell. I'll be purchasing a ton. Literally. G

  11. The only thing I can add is a tip. After washing the model, but before placing in the freezer, put the whole thing in a Ziplock bag. Don't ask me how I came to know this............................ G
  12. Been there, done that. twice. G
  13. Good to see ya back. Here's hoping all will turn out well on the personal side. I lost my place once. When I sobered up I found it. Now get to building, and moderating. G
  14. Art Werke was a mob guy in St Louis back in '86 or so. He and a guy named Manuel Labor, ran crazy, making all sorts of extra investigation necessary. G
  15. No, but I knew a hooker once named Minnie Mazzola. G
  16. If Phoenix would dry out, I'd be back next wekend! G
