  1. Thanks, Carl!
  2. Thanks Carl! I've completed the Chevy Stovebolt Six. I wired the engine and added the optional Corvette engine parts from the Monogram '53 Corvette. More Bel Air to come...
  3. Thanks, guys! I've had those wheels for several years and I wasn't sure where I was going to use them. Then I thought of this '53 Chevy and I said, "Why not!"
  4. My new project is the Monogram '53 Chevy Bel Air. This kit was given to me several years ago and I have been thinking about it lately. This kit has had the body painted already and it is partially foiled by Tim Rhine of the Classic Plastic Model Club who gave me the kit. I will finish the body and will add some parts from the Monogram '53 Corvette to the engine and wheels and tires from Steve Zimmerman. The interior will be painted dark red. More Bel Air to come...
  5. Thank you, Carl and Curtis! Curtis, I am still looking for a soft top for this Jeep. I may have to resort to building one from sheet styrene.
  6. Thank you, David, John, Greg and Jeremy! This was a fun kit to work with.
  7. My Gilmore Girls Jeep Wrangler is completed and is in Under Glass. I would like to thank all those who have viewed and commented on my WIP.
  8. This is my Revell Jeep Wrangler painted with Tamiya AS-15 Tan with three coats of Tamiya TS-13 Gloss Clear. The interior has been painted with Tamiya TS-29 Semi-Gloss Black and Tamiya TS-6 Matt Black and the seats have been painted with Tamiya TS-4 German Grey. I replaced the tires with a set from a Moebius 1972 Ford F100 pickup truck kit and I lowered the suspension about 1/4 inch total for a stock look. The only thing missing is a soft top for the Jeep.
  9. Almost done! Here's a preview of the Gilmore Girls Jeep Wrangler. Gilmore Girls will return...
  10. Thanks Sonny! I may give it a light polishing to help smooth out the surface some and to bring out the shine a bit more!
  11. More progress on the Gilmore Girls Jeep. The interior and chassis is mostly complete. I have started assembling the body. Gilmore Girls will return...
  12. Thanks Dirk! I bought this model a couple of years ago and I have several other Mustangs in the stash including a couple of convertibles.
  13. Since my paintbooth was up and running, I painted the body and floor with Tamiya AS-15 Tan. This will be followed by a couple coats of Tamiya TS-13 Gloss Clear. The interior floor will get a coat of Tamiya TS-6 Matt Black. Gilmore Girls will return...
  14. Paint was flyin" this afternoon! I primed and painted the hood and body of the Mustang GT with Tamiya TS-18 Metallic Red. When dried, I will "dirty" the finish. Dex Parios will return...

  18. I finally clearcoated the Mercedes-Benz AMG GT today. This is three coats and I will polished the clear in a couple of days when it has dried. More AMG GT to come...
  19. I drilled out the holes along the rocker panels and filled them with styrene rod and cut them flush with the rockers. These will be smoothed over with Bondo. The rear panel of the Jeep had the pattern of aluminium panels and I sanded the rear of the Jeep since Lorelai's Jeep doesn't have it. Gilmore Girls will return...
  20. I started on Lorelai's Jeep by filling in the holes for the snorkel. This will not be needed. As an experiment, I brushed on some Tamiya X-23 Clear Blue paint for the fade that is present on Connecticut license plates. Not bad, but it could have been better. I measured the posts and decided on a 1/8" cut on the posts to lower the suspension height. I may start with 1/16" first just for grins and giggles. Gilmore Girls will return...
  21. https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=9OX8JtJffWo My new project is Lorelai Gilmore's Jeep from Gilmore Girls. I am using the new release from Revell of the Jeep Wrangler Rubicon and I will decontent it to reproduce Lorelai's Jeep. I will change the tires, lower the suspension a bit, remove the air snorkel and paint the Jeep in Tamiya AS-15 Tan. I need to find a soft top for this Jeep. Here's what became of Lorelai's Jeep. https://www.autotrader.com/car-news/heres-what-happened-gilmore-girls-jeep-wrangler-255920 Gilmore Girls will continue...
  22. That is definitely different! Good job!
  23. I built mine as the Stingray Corvette since I like to build TV and Movie Cars. I'm liking the interior mods you are making and the exterior paint is definitely different.
