  1. Thanks Carl!
  2. I have assembled the engine and the rear differential. More AMG GT to come...
  3. Thank you Lee! This is the Revell kit.
  4. Thank you Glen, Ray, Curtis, Larry, Trevor and Eric!
  5. Thanks Douglas! A friend of mine has offered me an actual Mercedes tri-level paint in Solarbeam Yellow. This is a base coat, mid coat and clear. I will have to check it out first.
  6. My newest project is the M-B AMG GT. I've had this kit in the stash since 2017 when I went to my first NNL East show in Wayne, NJ. This is planned to be a box stock build. My paint with be Tamiya TS-16 Yellow with a Tamiya TS-65 Pearl Clear. More AMG GT to come...
  7. I have finished my Original Mini Cooper and it is posted in Under Glass. I would like to thank all those who have taken the time to view and to comment on my WIP.
  8. This is my Original Mini Cooper. I guess that the year of this car is around 1964 and I built it box stock and out-of-the-box. I used Tamiya TS-26 Pure White for the roof and Tamiya TS-86 Pure Red for the body and Tamiya TS-13 Gloss Clear over everything.
  9. Thanks Anton!
  10. Thanks Carl! Filling the gaps with the red Sharpie worked and I am very pleased! Tomorrow I'll polish the paint!
  11. Thanks Dann! To fill the gaps where the paint ran away, I found a red Sharpie that is close to the Pure Red I used and sharpened the tip and I traced the door openings. Now for a polishing with Novus 2 to see what I got.
  12. I clearcoated my Mini Cooper and I am for the most part, not happy! I washed, air-dryed, primered and painted the Mini and when I clearcoated the body, the paint ran away from the door edges. Arrgh! More Mini to come...
  13. It seems as though this Mini Cooper model is fighting me! I went and scratch-built seat belt receivers to go with the seat belt decals. Then, the steering wheel and column fell out. I have rebuilt the right front suspension since it broke (my fault) and I wonder what is next! Clear coating the body is next and hopefully I won't screw that up!
  14. In case you may have been wondering, I have not abandoned my Blasphemi project. With the passing of a member of the Classic Plastic Model Club, I have a need to work on Blasphemi and finish it for our Expo in October. Our late member had a love for '55 Chevys and the goal is for me to finish mine for our Show. I assembled the wheels and tires which came from my parts box. The Hemi engine is partially assembled and awaiting to be painted. I hand painted some of the chrome parts including the grille which I know to be incorrect. I have to get some PE material for the grille. More Blasphemi to come...
  15. Thanks Dave!
  16. Thanks Matt, Noel, Carl, D. Schittenhelm and David! I must admit that this Mini Cooper is going together faster than I thought it would. Time to add some additional details!
  17. A mockup to check my work. Other than the fit of the hood (bonnet), everything looks good! The hood fit can use some adjustment. More Mini to come...
  18. A little time this afternoon at the paintbooth! I painted the body and other pieces with Tamiya TS-86 Pure Red, the roof with Tamiya TS-26 Pure White, A second coat for the interior platform with Tamiya TS-29 Semi Gloss Black. Now to let this dry and maybe a couple of coats of Tamiya TS-13 Gloss Clear to be added. More Mini to come...
  19. Thanks Randy! Thanks for the history lesson, Noel!
  20. I finally got some Tamiya Grey Fine Surface Prime on the Mini chassis and I installed the engine. I painted the interior floor with Tamiya TS-29 Semi Gloss Black and the body parts got a coat of Tamiya White Fine Surface Primer. More Mini to come...
  21. Thanks guys! I think one of the things that people see on a Mini are the small wheels and tires then the car size itself. At least, I do.
  22. The engine has been assembled and ready to be installed in the chassis...when I get that built! I must say that this engine went together very well and I haven't lost any parts yet! These parts are tiny! More Mini to come...
  23. Thank you Chris and Carl!
  24. Thank you Darryl and David! David, this is the Revell of Germany Volkswagen T2 Bus kit #07667. This is a snap kit (easy click system) with excellent detail! 1/24 scale with 109 parts.
