Thanks Bryan, ya know I wonder about my eyesight sometimes, what looks like perfectly good straight paint line, looks like a blind man with parkinsons disease (no offense intended) painted it, after looking through the camera lens . Anyway apart from a few edges which I'm gonna have another crack at heres where I'm leaving it tonight
and heres where I'd like to teach some sailor some new words. Dont ask how cause I dont know but somehow I got a glob of glue or something on the hood. Not to sure cause it didnt fog around it like super glue usually does but what ever, so sanded it off and thought I'd experiment with polishing before I strip it.
top is polished paint, middle is sanded with a stick to get off the glob then polished with a soft 2000 grit pad ( about 12thou) I think then polished with Tamiya fine and then finish and the bottom third was just polished with the fine stick then Tamiya. No clear anywhere. So as soon as I can I'll strip and repaint the hood
(to try and match the body), then work at getting the whole thing to look as good as the middle of the hood does at the moment. Camera's not really picking it up but the reflections almost as good as a mirror.
