    2010 Camaro

callin it done, paint still needs a bit of work, but its right up there with the best I've done using a totally different method (no clear on it either) so pretty happy with it. My oldest grandsons favorite car ( he's 4 )
  3. Thanks guys, hoods repainted, mostly assembled, rear qtr windows are a bit of a pain to install. Little tidy up , decals and final touches to go and I'll polish the hood tomorrow.
  4. Thanks Bryan, ya know I wonder about my eyesight sometimes, what looks like perfectly good straight paint line, looks like a blind man with parkinsons disease (no offense intended) painted it, after looking through the camera lens . Anyway apart from a few edges which I'm gonna have another crack at heres where I'm leaving it tonight and heres where I'd like to teach some sailor some new words. Dont ask how cause I dont know but somehow I got a glob of glue or something on the hood. Not to sure cause it didnt fog around it like super glue usually does but what ever, so sanded it off and thought I'd experiment with polishing before I strip it. top is polished paint, middle is sanded with a stick to get off the glob then polished with a soft 2000 grit pad ( about 12thou) I think then polished with Tamiya fine and then finish and the bottom third was just polished with the fine stick then Tamiya. No clear anywhere. So as soon as I can I'll strip and repaint the hood (to try and match the body), then work at getting the whole thing to look as good as the middle of the hood does at the moment. Camera's not really picking it up but the reflections almost as good as a mirror.
  5. A classic ? maybe not yet but it will be Using Revell special edition kit ( has a body kit ) out of the box (hey its been a month and a bit since I touched a kit). Painted yellow like my 4yr old grandsons favorite car (Bumblebee) no clear or polish yet, this is straight outta the space I paint in .( no booth here
  6. looks awesome already Wayne, one of the best paint schemes I've seen in scale
  7. awesome job buddy ! It looks very good.
  8. As I was altering floors and chassis's for the starliner I thought I might as well do a bit of work on the next door car. A Flashpoint resins 62ish vette pro mod body. Amazingly for my luck the length the vette needed shortining was the same length the starliner needed for the lengthening (if yall can understand that).Vette chassis front, starliner middle and unmodified (except for the rear bars) at rear as you can see the vette has a very short cabin space while the fords is much longer, though the front needed to be extended for the vettes wheelbase. It will be blown and am hoping to make it a purple pearl It will also have a top fuel style rear wing.
  9. thanks Jeffrey , seems to be taking forever to get anything done, but have made a little progress. Couldn't find a later model ford race engine so I built a bbc for it then remembered I had 2 Glidden thunderbird pro stock kits got to wire and plumb it up for nitrous now. Had to modify the chassis a little to fit the wheelbase (the middle one) and a quick mock up
  10. Great job Doc. Love the finish and your detailing looks great as well.

  17. thats from seeing him in the orange suit isint it roflmao. Looks like I got here too late Doc, you're all sorted now Looks good so far.
  18. great work on all John ! Kinda hard to pick a favorite though
  19. Thanks guys, progress has been very slow as my mum had a heart attack a last weekend and is living with us now. Got started by lengthening the floor pan from cutting up another top sportsman kit floor though the remaining pieces are the perfect length for the next doorslammer project. Started scratching up my own cage/ chassis as the kit ones are too short to be used in the longer starliner cabin . not real happy with how the cage has turned out so far so may make a brass one anyway. once its been tidied up and primed after the next few bars are added I'll decide then. this will be a nitrous car so will have the big scoop rather than my preferred supercharger
  20. Thanks again, as said this is from the new re issue nice one piece chassis but a bit of flash to clean up everywhere else
  21. Thanks guys, havent done much, lost a great local modeller and friend the other night so have been a bit distracted. Aiming for a top sportsman class build and paint will be two tone, hoping to get back into it at the weekend.
