  1. I'm glad you made this one John! You did this one true justice and as a big bike fan I love to see a bike like this that frankly, I can learn from. I love all the detail work you managed to put into this. One of these days you need to give us a cool photoshoot of your bikes
  2. I've been waithing to see this one done and it looks perfect! Like mentioned you did not go over board on weathing and rust so it looks right. I'm glad you did not give up on it with the issues as this car is a beauty. I hope you bring this to DSC next year.
  3. Here is what it looks like sitting on an old Ernie Ivran Lumina frame for a mock up. I haven't touched it yet. I'm tempted to leave the fade the way it is and some other paint problems I found and try a race used look.
  4. This one is kinda tough. Tool wise and plastic wise thats not free I'd have to lay around .50 cents to a buck. Both for little over looked things like Harry pointed out like Q-tips and sanding strips that I get and plastic wise at the big swapmeets I can usually score bags of parts or bodies for the same price.
  5. You'd better be careful my friend as here in a while you will make yourself be in a corner. That is you will need to make something crazy realistic and time consuming to TOW behind this great piece of art!
  6. Interior looks amazing so far and the polish.... wow. I am just getting into trying Future but this looks better. I've used Turtle Wax on cars before and buffed them out by hand and NEVER had this result! This will be a car of beauty when finished and I certainly thank you for showing us along the way. I know its different scale but it will help me on mine later.
  7. Here is an update. I have a lot more detail work to do and touch up. I want to work more on the dash and etc. The truck is finally starting to take shape though. Enjoy! Edit. This interior has the rubber floor board treatment
  8. Out here a lot of independent guys just get the better trucks since it's a tax write off and really don't care. It was crazy to see nice Chevy, Ford, Dodge and even Nissan Titan trucks that were the top of the line trucks sitting outside my supply place.
  9. Thanks for showing how you actually made the cuts. I have been wanting to make a crew cab Chevy for a long time. Very cool project! I have even seen 6 door Fords like this one.
  10. Hey nice to see you have something on the bench Tom!
  11. I have seen one done up like Mad Max here in Phoenix years ago and I will say they are awesome to see with your own eye. I wish I had a camera back then.
  12. Dude! I was about to put you down in there "Where's Waldo" section not long ago. Great to see you come back and with a Bang! Nice take on this I love it!
  13. Very nice and 1/32 to boot. I like the 58 a ton in your other post too.
  14. I would buy a case too! I love these cars! My 2nd car (which was my first drivable running car) was a Mercury Zepher 4 door sedan. Picked her up for $150 when I was 15 years old. Mint condition minus the paint was faded. Also I will attest to the cars too. My friend from years back had a 2 door Fairmont and was T-boned by an 18 wheeler. He is alive and well and that says something for these cars.
  15. I don't have doubles unless there are junkers involved. Example: I have 3 USA-1 trucks but only one is sealed the other 2 are restore projects. I have a few like that. I plan on getting doubles and more of my favorites but I am in a rebuild stage of getting back into the hobby. Now my favorite car in kit form (1975 Road Runner by MPC) I'll buy as many as I can within reasonable price.
  16. Nice car thats not done often and nice save! I do have a lot of old Nascar kits to save but I do not know how to save the windows. My hat is off to you!
  17. Beautiful Buick. Love the red and white scheme.
  18. I thought I was a huge Terry fan but YOU sir... are the Man! Thanks for sharing all these builds.
  19. A quick update on this. Everything that could go wrong for a 24 hour build did. The camera did kind things for the fade as it does have a lot of over spray and the photos do not show it. I am going to slow down and take my time on this build now. Starting with a wet sand and re-paint with a better darker green. Thanks for looking.
  20. Came out real nice. I like that red. I have this one in my stash too and was thinking what to do with it.
  21. Nice scores Lownslow and Michelle!
  22. I did that one a long time ago. It is a one piece chassis and it's curbside as far as the engine bay goes. I think I still have the body and chassis. I will have to dig them out if you need pics.
  23. You guys covered a lot of great cars and some will add more but lets not leave out the icons of the truck side. These are rough years so give or take a few years. 1950 Chevy p/u 1939 Chevy Panel 1949 Ford Panel 1977 Jeep CJ7 1975 International Scout 1966 Chevy p/u 1968-72 Chevy p/u all Woodie wagons! 1973 Dodge Power Wagon There are many more but I just thought I'd put a spin on this cool topic.
  24. I just use an Xacto knife and push it away from me and it comes off with no problem
  25. Looks great! I have always loved the Spooky Fruit Loops car.
