  1. This is the problem Ray...the SCALE of the graphics. I inquired about this some time ago, and the company I contacted was anxious to try a few 1/24 bodies (I'll have to see if I can find my emails back & forth) but the contact there said the print was too large for our needs (camo, carbon fiber, etc). It was pretty inexpensive I thought. They had a minimum, but I think it worked out to about $15 per body?
  2. Welcome Luke!!! Great builds you have there!
  3. LOL! I'm moving to either Colorado or Washington state
  4. Pretty cool as-is Ray, but I'll bet black fenders would REALLY set it off!
  5. Very cool! Similar to the one Tim Boyd did
  6. Chris, I cannot BELIEVE how realistic that looks! And I now realize you hand scribed EACH individual brick? Holy ######! SUPER, SUPER nice!
  7. Good stuff Joe, all three!!!
  8. And what about the age-old question of who REALLY invented the light bulb? http://wiki.answers.com/Q/Who_invented_the_light_bulb
  9. Looks GREAT so far Chris! Very realistic

    Vantastic

    NICE!!!
  12. Lee, you mean you can finally see pics??? Can you see this beasty Jeep?
  13. Al, how about the engine from the old wheelhorse tractor in this kit? It would be more prototypically correct than a motorcycle engine, and this kit is cheap & plentiful!
  14. Here's my dilemma with casting this though...I'm more than willing to hand this off to someone for reproduction, but look at the parts breakdown: As you can see, the roof requires an insert, it has opening doors & trunk, its got LOTS of grooves in the body for trim and side vents, etc. And supposedly these were unibody, yet Franklin mint tooled up a separate ladder type frame Sooo, how would builders want it? -Stock (as-is) -Semi-custom (as in roof insert and side vents filled, doors molded shut) -Full-on custom (this is where personal preference would come into play, as I'd like to alter some from stock, like, as Rob said, the headlights for one thing) Thoughts?
  15. Gents, I like BOTH of these ideas
  16. Dave, the Revell Jeep Wrangler TJ (ex-Tomb Raider) is due out next year sometime for reissue. If you can wait for that one, it has EXCELLENT M/T Baja Claws included (minus sidewall lettering ) measuring about 33" scale...
  17. VERY nicely built Mark! Love that bright blue smooth & shiny paint!
  18. Hmmm...the inspiration 1:1 has a Viper V10: But a HEMI would be cool too... Or even maybe a vintage, hopped-up HOT straight 8, as these originally were equipped with 'em: http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Chrysler_Airflow
  19. Very cool build Tim! Thanks for pulling this out & finishing it, there's hope for stalled projects yet!
  20. Very nice build of this uncommon kit Thomas!
