Thanks guys, and yes I got really lucky that he just wanted to drive with it, about 3 to 6 Miles from the place where it was stolen. And I'm so glad that he didn't break it while driving, it still is very reliable...

Finally the '58 Sedan Delivery is back on the bench! I decided to check the ride height and at the same time if I have to modify the suspension. Rear tires are from AMT '66 Nova ProStreet and fronts are from Revell's Impala. White walls fit nicely to Pro Street car. Wheels are Weld Draglites that are resin cast by a Friend of mine. The Rear Axle from that Nova kit fits perfectly with its Leaf Springs, but I need to get the front end a little higher. Now the tires are just thrown inside the Fenders to see, how much I have to change the front suspension. The stance will be as it is on the pics. Now I'm working on the Headers for this one.

I don't know where this is supposed to go, but at least I didn't see it anywhere yet: Monogram Bad Actor '60 Chevy Panel and other versions of that kit. http://images52.fotki.com/v644/photos/2/242765/1415704/badactor_big-vi.jpg http://u.jimdo.com/www37/o/se372970042158879/img/i5ae6db5fa3d49980/1309812386/orig/image.jpg https://id144230.webhosting.optonline.net/just4funhobbies.com/merchantmanager/images/uploads/85-4262_-_1_24_Street_Fighter_%7BTom_Daniel%7D%7B2-06-09%7D-.jpg http://www.showrods.com/images/quicksilver/quicksilver_top http://www.tomdaniel.com/images/85_tdkit_images/street_fighter Can't get the pictures to show "You are not allowed to use that image extension on this community" or something like that. Hope this helps. -
Thanks guys! And yes, the Steering Lock is not the best I have to admit, but now I bought a big and strong lock. Now if someone will take it again, then he or she really must want it! It will need a saw or something to break. I will put it around a Tree or something now always and I will make another trick for it too, so no one will be able to start the engine except me... Of course with those 6 Volt electrics that come from Magneto while engine is running (No battery) everything is not possible, but.... And it is burning tire as it was before!

Wow, I've been following this build since you started it, and this sure is fantastic build. You are doing incredible job with the interior, that Dash is really nice and those Machined Cauges and switches really give it a nice finished look. Seats are very nice too. I can't wait to see more. Oh, and hey I got two of these Vette kits, mind if I send both dashboards to you to be detailed?

First, thanks for the great site, I have learned so many kits I never knew were made from your Gallery. I found two Chevy kits that are missing. First AMT '64 Chevy Malibu SS. And then AMT "Saturday Night Thunder" '74 Chevy Chevelle. I even spotted a picture of mine in the Gallery, glad to see it was helpful. -
Well I got the Tunturi back Yesterday. A couple of guys had seen it very near where it was stolen, and on Sunday when my friend was buying Ice Cream at local Gas Station, then my Tunturi came there to be refueled. The guy who stole it, didn't pay for the gas, but he managed to put some Two Stroke Oil to the Tank also. He called the Police and they stopped the guy even if he tried to get away. Only the Steering Lock is now a bit broken, but otherwise it works fine! I just bought the biggest lock I could find for it so it is not that easy to steal it again.....

I have this kit and I built it years ago. I have been thinking that why people say that the Fenders don't fit... In my kit I had absolutely no problem with them. But I remember that the engine in this kit is Way too small and quite simple also. So a different engine from some other kit might be a good idea.

This turned out very nice! You did great job with the Body Conversion, actually that's something that I have wanted to do for a long time also. Nice work with the paint and finishing also, it looks just like ready kit from Revell or Moebius, all parts fit so well etc. Great job. -
Well I finally got the Dashboard detailed. The decals are from the kit, and then I did some detail painting and black washing to make it look more realistic. It still needs of course a Steering Wheel and Steering Column, but also a Tachometer. I will get back to the body soon.

Then we have Marko Lantto from Flat Out Racing. He goes always Full Throttle and he don't lift up the throttle very easily. The car is '81 Chevy Corvette, best ET is around 6,3 seconds. But on Last year's second event, it seemed to be slippery for this Vette... And a Video (Not Mine). Sometimes he does huge burnouts, too. Don't care about the Corvette guy, don't know who he is and the video is not mine either.

Thanks guys, those kind words are greatly appreciated. Well here is a picture of the Driveshaft Loop. As I did on my Nova build, this is scratchbuilt from Beer Can Aluminium. I'm still planning to add a couple of bolt & nut ends to it, if I can find any...

Nice build of a great subject! The paint looks very good, even if you had some troubles with it and overall finishing is truly amazing, very clean work.
-
That is going to be another cool ProMod from your bench! The Frame looks very good already, and so does the body too. What kind of engine you are planning? I'll be watching for sure.

Das sieht Super aus! Ich möchte dass Lincoln auch kaufen. Really nice work, the paint and finish are looking excellent. Nice job on a kit I'd like to buy and build also, this Concept has always looked very good on my eyes.

Today I drove to school with my 1980 Tunturi Trial (A Finnish Classic Moped, very rare) as usual. We went to church with out Class for a visit. I parked it to the Parking Lot as usual, and locked it with its Steering Lock that makes steering impossible. I took my helmet inside and went to the church as my Classmates did too. When the Lesson ended and we went to Parking Lot, a girl that's on our class asked if I saw his helmet anywhere. It was stolen from her scooter. Well I said "No, it was there when I came, but haven't seen it since then." But then I started looking around....Where is My Tunturi?!?!?!?!?!?!!!!!!! It was gone and I didn't see it anywhere nearby. So someone took my Bike and her helmet, so maybe someone had opened the steering lock somehow and had driven away???? Well then we went to Police Station with my Dad and currently Tunturi is wanted by Police. It was 300 Euros when I bought it. I spent over 2,000 Euros for restoring it, and it was in good shape. Hopefully they'll find it somewhere, if not, I hope the insurance pays me something. So....What's Wrong With Some People?!

I agree that Model Building needs to attract new Modelers from the New Generations. And for example in my family, me, a 16 year-old guy got interested in building Models when I saw my father's '70 Chevelle SS he built in the '90s. That was around 2002-2003 and then Dad was not building Model Cars actively. When I had been building for a couple of years and only Old School style American Muscle Cars or '50s to '60s Classics, dad got interested in building again and he started to build '62 Impala Super Stocker as it raced in the '60s. Then he has built many models after that one, and so do I too. Then my Little sister, 12 years old told that she'd like to build something too. We picked Revell's '60 Impala to her, the new California Wheels kit. Right away she told us that she would never use those big inch wheels or other modern parts from the kit. This shows that it is not always necessary to try to get new generations in the hobby even if they are not interested in it. And as for the subjects, in our family we all hate Big inch wheels and those horrible Low Profile Tires. None of us have Never built a Model Car or 1:1 car with any bigger wheels than 15" (And now I mean American Cars, I've built one Lancia Stratos and Porsche 935 that had bigger wheels from the factory!). If they would offer kits with modern engines and other stuff like that, they needed to be 2 In 1 with a possibility to build Stock version also. Otherwise I guess they wouldn't sell good enough.

That's looking great! Keep us posted with the progress, it looks like a cool build. These Old Classics are nice to see being built, even if I've never built anything Pre '49 cars as Stock. Also I like to see other young people building. Whoops...Never thought that, I've been painting in the Garage with really bad ventilation. On Summer I paint outside though (But here the summer isn't that long). Maybe I should try that.

Wow, now we have 100 Pages of Eye Candy in this thread B) ! Great job again, Chris. The Tin Work looks fantastic, parts fit really nicely together and once painted, I bet I can't see the difference between Real or Model. Great job!
