  1. WOW! You continue to amaze me with these builds, this was nice to follow, and the Finished product is even better than I thought. Excellent job with it, makes me feel like this GREAT Job!
  2. This was built to 2012 Gumball Rally Community Build. Finished Yesterday. It started out as Monogram's Camaro Glue Bomb. Body needed more work than I originally thought, so that's why it took so long. But overall it was a lot of fun. My plan was to keep the body as Black as possible, since then it could be harder to see in the Night time. Interior is red, only added parts are the Scratchbuilt Shifter and Register plates, so Polices would be having hard time finding this car. Engine is Chevy 302 with Cross Ram intake and some added details. See more detailed information about this build from the link: http://www.modelcarsmag.com/forums/index.php?showtopic=51560&p=591065 More...
  3. The Final Update before Under Glass. I got the body and chassis together, they fit nicely and needed just a little glue. The Grille is installed, too. Now there is left only few parts, like the Mirrors, Door Handles, Register Plate, a few Wires and then it's done. Hood is polished now, too.
  4. I painted the Window Trims Flat Black and body from downside is Flat Black too. Then I installed the Windows, put few License Plates to the interior so they can be changed during the Rally so Polices will be having hard time finding this car. Then I put the Interior and Body together. Now I need to add few parts and minor details, then body and chassis together and the Final update before Under Glass.
  5. This turned out Fantastic, John! It was so much fun to watch this build come together, you did excellent job with it, especially the body mods are done very cleanly. Nice paint job too, and the detailing is incredible. I have Never seen before text-decals on 1/25 Scale Spark Plug Wires. You did it a justice, VERY nice build.
  6. This build is really fun to watch, you are doing very fine work! I really like the body color too, it fits perfectly to this kind of car. I guess I should start my entry for this year's Cannonball too... And nice Vega. I'm a huge fan of GM H-Bodies. We had '79 Skyhawk, but it was sold last year since we needed some cash for the new Chevelle-project. That was really fun car, too.
  7. Personally I like tho use Super Glue for almost everything, but when I'm scratchbuilding parts or doing some modifications to plastic where's no paint, I like to use Tamiya's, Model Masters' or Plastruct's Liquid glues. They make very strong "welds". Then I use Revell and Humbroll glues sometimes, and white Glue for windows, small chrome parts etc. For filler, I like to use Two Part Bondo that's used on 1:1 cars when I'm doing bigger modifications, but for smaller ones I think Green Putty and White Putty work really nicely. It's made by Squadron. It is very easy to sand and it works nicely with smaller modifications. Or then I use Automotive Filler Spray. There are many different makes and manufacturers, and they might be different in here than what you have there. I bet there are many more, but I have managed with these. Hope This Helps.
  8. I got the Camaro polished this Morning. It looks pretty good I guess. Still needs to polish the Hood and paint window trims Flat Black, paint body from down side and then put the glasses in. My goal is to have the body and chassis together Tomorrow.
  9. This turned out fantastic. It was really nice to watch it come together, and you nailed the look. The rust holes, those black spots on the Drivers' side and everything else seems to be just there. This would make good Real Or Model.
  10. But TriPower was not available for 409 Engine. Only 348 had that setup from the Factory. I have a set of Resin Carter AFB Carbs, and they are nice. Just can't remember who made them. But with some extra detailing, the carburetors from that Bel Air kit can be made useable.
  11. Nice Torino! Perfect paint job and excellent detailing, too. I really like the tire textes, very clean job with them. Great decals on it, too. I like these Vintage NASCARS, and actually I'm going to start building one of this year's Torinos soon.
  12. Thanks Bill! I appreciate it. Thanks for the Suggestion, I will remove the Nubs right away, and cover the area with some BMF.
  13. Cool build Ira, as always! I really like the way it turned out, and enjoyed the WIP thread too. Excellent paint and nice bodywork. You always make me smile with these builds, and this one is no exception. Very nice, I wish I could see this one on person.
  14. Well at least it doesn't look like '64 GTO to me, even if the box says so.
  15. Thanks Brian! It means a lot.
  16. Yeah, it looks like it could be new tooling kit by Revell or Moebius Models... Absolutely incredible work, and someone says that it is not possible to scratchbuilt car bodies, because they are too round. It's incredible, I can not say anything negative about it. The finishing is very nice too. Oh and did I mention that the subject is excellent also. I build what I can, but looks like Kenneth builds what he wants!
  17. Thanks John, Jason and Jarrod! The kind words are really appreciated. I will be making a little upgrade to the engine, the Water hose clamp will be removed and I will make another one which is bit smaller and then more realistic. I will make another one for the other end of that Water Hose, too.
  18. Very nicely done! Overall look is clean and very nice job with all of those decals, too. Really nice work all in all.
  19. Nice Mercury Wagon! It's always nice to see LongRoofs being built, and I really like the body style of this one. Perfect paint and nice detailing on it. Great Job!
  20. Welcome to MCM Forums! And very nice Corvette you got there. The paint job is looking great, and I really don't see problems with the decals, either. I like it.
  21. Thanks for the kind comments! Anne: The color on the transmission looks like Revell's #99 silver Enamel Paint. I can't remember surely if it is that paint, but it looks very close. I hope it helps.
  22. Thanks Matti! I agree with you, this is one of the best builds I've done. The engine detail is not as good as in some other builds, but the paint job is probably the best one to date. Now I will try to get bit better paint job for my '69 Camaro project...
  23. Umm that's sad news! I hope your hand gets better soon and surgeries go well. All that work you put into this beautiful build was fantastic, can we see this build being finished on this forum anyway by someone else?
  24. Thanks Tony and Mike! You are correct, the wheels really were worth the money. And actually they weren't too expensive either and I have few more sets of them waiting...
  25. Thanks Jason! Much appreciated. Actually I managed to do some more work today. First I cut the Rear axle in to pieces, and the tubes where those Drive Axles (?) go, and drilled hole for the center part of that Axle so new tubes run through it. Sorry this is bit badly said, but that's just because I don't know how to say it in English. Then I started to make the rear frame for it from styrene tubing... Next I'll move on to Four Links.
