  1. That turned out cool! Nice paint and excellent color. The decals fit perfectly to this one also, and that Six Cylinder Engine is nice & Different choice. Great Job.
  2. This has really that '80s Pro Street vibe with those painted bumbers and blue wheels. Usually I wouldn't be a fan of them, but for this one they fit perfectly. Nice paint job too, Shiny! Great Job.
  3. Thanks guys for the kind words! The Resin Caster doesn't have a Website, and those Frontrunners are not sold publicly. At least for now. But yes, they are top notch quality!
  4. Thanks Bruce, and I hope you can solve your problem, so we could see your build. There can never be too many Vintage Stock Cars.
  5. I've been following this one and I'm really amazed every time you post an update. The detail work is incredible, that engine looks just like real one. Excellent job.
  6. Nice work everyone! This year is going to be even better than last year was I believe. I'm trying to hang up with you guys, but my quality is not as good as yours. Anyway I got the Roll Cage pretty much together. It needs a few more tubes, and then I can paint it. And I must cut a little material from the Dashboard to make the cage fit, as some of the 1:1 cars.
  7. Well I got the Torino back on Four Wheels. As you can see from the pictures, it needs Driveshaft Loop, some Steering Parts for the front, Fuel Lines need to be connected etc. But it's coming along.
  8. Excellent conversion! It's nice to see these Biscaynes and other "Poor" Model Chevrolets being built also. Nice job with the rear end, I guess that conversion would be too hard for me. Did you make the top higher? To me it looks like Chopped, since Biscayne and Impala had different tops. But I guess I wouldn't have done it any better, so Big Thumbs Up!
  9. Thanks guys for the kind comments! My '69 Petty Torino took One Step forward, when I opened the box, but then Two Steps back. The Front Fenders are warped, just like the car had jumped and landed on its nose. Well all it needs is some hot water to bend those fenders back on their original shape. But....The work with Jo-Han '72 Torino Oval Tracker has continued. Funny thing, the Torino was sold as 1960s Model Kit, even if the car is 1972.
  10. That's very nice, especially for your first one! The Faded Paint Job turned out fantastic, I have never tried it, but it can't be easy to do. I like the look of it without the Scoop on the hood, looks "Not So Professional" Drag Car. Minor thing - it is not Pro Street. Pro Street is a car that can be driven on the street, but this one has Racing tires, Engine and full Tube chassis. So it's more like Pro Sportsman, as the box says.
  11. Beautiful Box Stock build, this kit is one of those AMT Fords I want to build some day too, and your build shows that it can be built excellent! Fantastic paint job, as always in your builds and perfect overall finishing too. Even if I don't build much these Factory Stock cars, I do like to see them being built, especially when they are as nice as this one.
  12. Lucky you, we just got more Snow. With that amount of snow we have, it will take a while to melt, even if a lot of snow has Melted already... Well that makes more time to build our car Race Ready before the FHRA Drag Racing Season starts.
  13. Has anyone seen him lately, or heard anything? I hope all is well. I miss his Wild builds a lot. http://www.modelcarsmag.com/forums/index.php?s=1cf42a2d30e6c3a89b8c68f97d61d0bc&showuser=4698
  14. What is the problem with AMT kit? I have it (Got it cheap, had to buy ), and the parts look pretty good to my eye. I'm just asking, so I can be careful if there are some "Trouble Spots" on the kit.
  15. I was able to get it on Four Wheels Yesterday. Everything was fitting nicely and it looked pretty good, until I test fitted the body on place, and realized that the Rear Tires don't fit inside the body. They were close, but no. So then I had to take the rear tires off, and I will be sanding those wheels from backside a bit, since they are just a little wider than kit wheels were, and then I will sand those inner wheels/Brake parts or whatever they are, so the tires would fit inside the body. This means that I have to do the same thing for the front too, because otherwise the measure from tire to tire would be wider in Front than rear. If I can get these things done by tomorrow, I will post some more pictures. Actually now I have already done the sanding for the front tires, and the rears are coming next. But then the assembly will take some more time again, and maybe tomorrow everything is dried, so I can move the chassis to the "Picture Studio".
  16. Some kits have very light window trims, that can't be seen well after paint. If you spray clear coat on it, it makes Foiling even harder. At those points, I use BMF and then clear coat and polish, and on those Vintage NASCARS, where decals are installed over BMF, because polishing is impossible if I haven't clearcoated over decals. I think it doesn't make any difference if you BMF before or after clear coat, but I usually do mine after clear coat and polish.
  17. Great, then I didn't miss anything. Now I have to go and subscribe the Magazine. The thing I had to do already a year ago, but somehow I forgot to do that.
  18. Wow that's beautiful, as always! I like the Convertible uptop on it, and of course it's always nice to see a Blower sticking through the hood. Nice detailing, and I too like the opening gas cap. Great job.
  19. This has been waiting for a while, but now it seems that it's back on the bench. It was real Stock Eliminator day today. We installed the Transmission and Engine to our 1:1 '74 Chevelle Stocker and then I continued working this one. Maybe the biggest problem was to find correct front tires, but the problem was solved when another Finnish Model Builder cast some Good Year Frontrunners in Resin. I bought four pairs of them, and one will be located in this one. Cleanup was very easy to do, and the wheels I was going to use, fitted perfectly on those tires. Also I painted the front Subframe, and actually all other chassis parts. Hope to have it on Four Wheels soon...
  20. Woo Hoo, it looks fantastic! Especially those parts that install the Body Bracing to the actual Body are piece of art. I can't wait to see more of this, great job so far.
  21. Great job, as always O.C. I like the subject a lot, and when the Model is built as nicely as this, it's one of my favorites. Nice job.
  22. Did this one get finished? Or did I just miss the final pictures (Wouldn't be impossible ). It looks so good, that I'd like to see the final pics if it is already done.
  23. Thanks Bill! Yes, I knew those slicks were copies of some AMT kit's Tires, but had no clue which one. Now I know more again, thanks. And yes, those Front Tires are from Lindberg's '40 Ford.
  24. Great to hear, Bill! Your start looks excellent, I can't wait to see more of it. The tires arrived today, so I have an update for my '40 Ford. These Tires are Very nice, and even if there is some cleanup required on the center seam, this Resin was really easy to work with and it took only few minutes to clean up. Then I cut those fender openings from the rear bit bigger. They are little rough on the pictures, because now everything is in MockUp stages. Parts fit fine, though so now I can finish them and start working on the axles. There is no rear axle on the pictures, because I must make the floor before I can start looking for a place where to install the axle. Front Axle is from Revell Ford Thames Gasser, but I noticed that it is not working in this build. I will probably scratchbuild a new one, it might be easier to do so than to start modifying that one I already have. With that axle, the front end would be too high. Here are The Tires as I got them: Front Tires will be taken from the Lindberg Kit, and wheels are bought from ModelExpress when it was still in business. I don't know where they are from, but I'm guessing somekind of early Funny Car kit? Rear wheels are also Resin cast parts: This is the stance I'm looking for:
