  1. So you think we have no Pro Modifieds in Finland? If you did, you're wrong. First Kristian Nyström's '57 Chevy Pro Mod. Best ET is 6,16. Car is built by Andy Robinson Race Cars. Timo Äikää's '62 Chevy Bel Air Bubbletop. This car has 899 Cid engine with NOS. Can't remember the best ET for this one, though.
  2. Interesting build for sure, I really like what you did for the Front Wheels. Engine looks fantastic too, keep it coming. Now I will finally get a challenger for my Ramchargers '64 Dodge I built in 2009.
  3. Nice builds of great subjects! These look just right to me, the stances are perfect and I really like the detailing on both. Nice paint and decal work, too.
  4. That looks fantastic! Your Studebaker was really nice build, and this is just same category-Perfect! Especially the paint job is incredible, and I like all of the modifications you did. Now this would make a perfect Diorama.
  5. Paint Job, Overall detailing (Includes for example Black Washing the grille, BMF, engine detail etc) and Overall parts fit. I think those are what I see as the most important things.
  6. Wow that is Nice! Excellent paint and finishing, I like the engine compartment too, fantastic detailing. Those side pipes fit perfectly on this one. Maybe the Fender Skirts and Continental Kit would be items I left off if it was mine, but otherwise it's just perfect. Great Job!
  7. This is excellent build! Like the body style a lot, it's just a pity that there's no Full Detail kit of this one available... Nice work with the engine, too. Overall fantastic build, only negative thing is that this build is not located in my Display Case.
  8. Nice Chrysler! The AMT kit is really great quality and builds up nice. Nice paint job on it, and excellent detailing too. I really like the overall look. Only minor thing I would do different, is painting the 300 logo on the chrome trim on the side of that car. I did it for mine, and it was actually quite easy to do. Otherwise it's perfect!
  9. Thanks and glad to hear you have enjoyed the ride. Now the situation is, that we have went through all Finnish Championchip car categories. So next I will move on to Finnish Pro Stock, Pro Mod etc teams, so called Professional Classes who drive European Championchip series. First in line there is Pro Stock, where we have only two Finnish teams. First Richard "Nixxon" Sundblom. He has been few times the second on European Championchip standings, but he has never won the championchip I guess. He drives Chevy Cobalt, best ET is somewhere about 6,6 seconds. Then other team, which has been racing Pro Stock for only two (or three, can't remember surely) years, Österberg Racing. Driver is Sampsa Palos, who is really good driver, too. Best ET is at low 6,7s. He has won a couple of races with that car.
  10. Excellent build, and perfect subject, too! There can Never be enough X-Frame Chevrolets, especially if they are built as Drag Cars! Nice finishing, and detail on the engine bay.
  11. Wow, very beautiful builds! Fantastic paint jobs on both, and I really like the detailing too. If the pics were taken on Drag Strip or something like that, I would be sure that they are 1:1 Scale builds. Great Job!
  12. Wow, my old WIP thread has reborn! For the front suspension, I will use parts from AMT '67 Mustang, but since no one has offered me the front axle parts only, I guess I have to buy brand new kit for that. I think the biggest problem is making those front inner fenders. Okay, I do have those Mustang parts, but I have started to wonder if it would be easier to completely scratchbuild those inner fenders than using Mustang parts as a basis... Well let's see. I can't wait to see your build, Eric. There can never be enough AMC Drag Cars!
  13. We sure do . Not my pictures either, but I hope these help. Those look really old, I was looking at them too at a Swap Meet we had last weekend.
  14. Thanks a lot Scott, I appreciate it. You are right about these kits, too. I have many different '64 Dodges/Plymouths on my stash too. Well I got the body polished up, and it turned out pretty good I think. Not my best, though but I still like it. I also added some black to the Door and trunk lines with Tamiya Panel Line Accent color. It works very nicely. Next I have to paint the body from inside and install the glasses. I also worked with the chassis, I painted all details from the Firewall and installed it. Brake lines are installed to the Brake Master Cylinder. I scratchbuilt Battery cable connectors (What is the real English name for them?) from styrene, because I had no photo etch parts this time. I glued them to the battery and installed those inner fenders, other battery cable is connected too, other one will be done tomorrow. Also I put the alternator wires on place and made a very simple carburetor linkage before hiding it by that huge air cleaner. Here are some pictures.
  15. Atte Nyberg's Chevy Camaro with Blown Methanol engine, to me it sounds very ProMod like. It didn't work that nicely on its first race, but I guess they will make it run nicely to the next season. It's a shame I can't get the sound in this image... Then Hannu Flink's '41 Willys. This has huge engine and NOS, best ET so far 6,9. He does always very nice burnouts! And one Video I filmed at Finals 2012:
  16. Sorry guys I forgot this topic completely and just came across it when I was looking at older posts. Here we go again, more Super Pro Street Cars. Tomi Pellinen's '56 Chevy. It has Blown Methanol engine and it sounds just like ProMod to me... Steel bodied. This is pretty wild car... Kaj Erik Nieminen's Chevy Corvette. It has big engine and some NOS.
  17. And the same guy has this one too. '32 Ford with 348 BBC. This car has Drag Race History from the Old Days. That's it, hope you enjoyed.
  18. And the last set. This car is the Art Russel Plymouth what won Grand National Roadster show back in the day. Nowadays it's located in Finland.
  19. This is just too cool not to post it in here. As you probably know, we have a long winter here in Finland and a lot of snow, so they organized Ice Race for American Cars in Helsinki. These are not my pictures, but I think they are really cool. What do you think?
  20. Thanks Ron. I'm happy with the engine too, even if it's done few years ago. Only modification I will do for it is to clean up the Fuel Injection painting a little, otherwise I like it. I will do some sanding tomorrow, maybe some putty work too. Hope to get it painted soon.
  21. Also I started polishing the body. The top and Trunk lid are polished now, tomorrow I'll polish the sides and post some better pictures of them. Trying to get it done in few weeks.
  22. Thanks, Carl! Much appreciated. Well today I got a lot done. First I installed the cauge panel to the Dashboard, painted the cauges black and after that I rubbed the paint off from the letters. I continued by gluing the steering wheel and testing my new Panel Line Accent Color by Tamiya for the door panels (Excellent stuff, worth buying). After that I put everything together and we have a Finished Interior. Not my bests, but still I'm pretty happy about it. Note the Door Panels, what are sheet metal from other side, and other side has the stock upholstery pattern.
