Thanks Richard! It means a lot.

Thanks Al, much appreciated.

Amen! Nice to hear that I'm not the only one "Who eats worms rather than installs big wheels with low profile tires on a car". Very nice T-Bird. I can't believe you managed to build this nice model in Two Days! Turned out fantastic.

Duel Plymouth Valiant WIP Almost finished 14/02
W-409 replied to IMPALA SS 427's topic in WIP: Model Cars
A lot of work behind on this one, it does feel good to get it painted doesn't it? Looks fantastic to me, really nice bodywork you have done, and the paint looks smooth and shiny too. Really nice. -
There is one game I play. Street Challenge. It is a game on PC, I guess it works via Internet. Oh and it's a Drag Racing game where are a lot of different cars, you can buy speed parts for them and tune the Gear Ratios to get it run correctly etc. You can adjust the Dial In, run Bracket or Heads Up, Holeshot wins are possible etc. An excellent game, worth trying. Oh and it's basically free, but you can get more garage space with little amount of $$. What I have in Garage now: 1. '69 Camaro Super Comp car, running 8,9 times. Just ran 8,9002 today. 2. '78 Chevy Malibu Outlaw 10,5 Car. In Bracket setup it runs with 6,5714 index, it's really consistant. And when I want to drive Heads Up, it goes 6,3's. 3. Plymouth Superbird Pro Mod. Runs high 5,8 times. 4. Mustang Top Fuel Funny Car. Best ET so far is 4,7102. And my NickName is NickL. Other than that game, I play games quite rarely.

Finally got one right, or at least I had a clue of what it Could be. Never liked the 1:1 Sebring, but this is even uglier.

1/16 Scale Army Vega Funny Car - Finished 10/14/2018
W-409 replied to Mooneyzs's topic in WIP: Drag Racing Models
Wow! That is fantastic, those parts got to be small to handle. You do extremely nice job. But I have started wondering, if this is 1:1 scale Funny Car that you are building instead of 1:16? -
Thanks Guys for the positive comments! Yeah, when I saw the Movie, that Doc Hudson was one of the nicest cars in it.
-
Heh, thanks Bart! Here we go again. I painted the Engine Block orange and Cylinder Heads are Aluminium. Blower intake Manifold and Cragar blower are on their place too... Next making the spark plug wires. Al: Pontiac looks fantastic, keep the pix coming!

Since the Hudson is Finished and posted to Under Glass (http://www.modelcarsmag.com/forums/index.php?showtopic=70023), I decided to take the Impala back on the bench. I installed the Battery Cable to starter, and after that painted the driveshaft joints and installed the whole engine to Frame. It's gettin' there, only shocks to add and then all brake lines etc and the Chassis is done.

Wow... You just made me speechless.

Your paint jobs are always incredible! Just like this one, how many hours you spend polishing it? Or do you have any specific techniques, or do you "Just Polish"? Very nice.
-
This looks very good! Nice color choice and excellent engine detailing. It's also nice to see these Topolinos being built as Street Cars, even if I really like those Altereds. Really like this one.

Thanks guys for the kind words! Matti: Yes, I'd like to see a Hudson from your bench. I'm sure it would turn out fantastic. Harry: I've always wanted to hear critique too. Positive comments are nice to hear, but critique is what makes me doing things different next time. The next build from my bench will possibly be a Drag Car, or Stock Car from '50s or '60s... I'm planning also to start the Fabulous Hudson Hornet Stock Car soon. John: It's really worth buying. The boxart is already very nice, and once the box is opened, all of the parts are really nice quality, especially the chrome parts are great. Instructions are the best I have seen, too.

Okay, I think I just bought the basis for this Community Build.... A '58 Chevrolet Sedan Delivery. Previous owner has already started and converted AMT '66 Nova Pro Street chassis to fit under this body. It is little wider than the original, the front frame is stretched and rear too. It needs some putty, but otherwise it is going to stay like it is now. The engine will be 409 of course, with Cragar Blower.

The Hornet's Nest: Hudson Hornet Build Madness!
W-409 replied to Dr. Cranky's topic in Community Builds
Thanks Chuck! How many Hudsons you've already built? There are so many that I can't remember. I mean that it's really nice to see a lot of these nice Hudsons being built, especially with a talented builder like you. BTW: Just in case someone did not see the UnderGlass post already, here's the link on my Hudson: http://www.modelcarsmag.com/forums/index.php?showtopic=70023 -
Cool build. I'm really looking forward for more updates to come. Bodywork looks excellent so far, and I like the chassis too. Your building skills just keep me amazed.

Hey, that's like our Simcas, isn't it? Very interesting project, I will be following this one for sure. A bit boring car (at least in 1:1 scale) turns out really interesting with V8. It's also nice to see that you managed not to start a Pro Touring build. Just kidding. The engine looks very good to me, and the engine bay is really small. Mechanics will have hard time when doing repair work to engine in the races. Keep going.

This is Art! The chassis is coming together, and it really looks like you are building Full Scale chassis for a real car. Wow. This makes me back to the bench to build those Glue Bombs. Fantastic work, keep it going.

Wow thanks for all of those great comments! Harry, Charlie and Chuck who mentioned the hood. Yes, it doesn't fit right. I should have sanded it a bit before painting, it had tight fit to match the body shapes, and after paint and few clear coats, it doesn't fit anymore. Oh well luckily this is displayed the hood open. And you are correct about the BMF too, I had new sheet of BMF and new blade, but I don't know what was the problem with them. Somehow I couldn't do better on this one, even if I've done better jobs with BMF before. Thanks again for the great comments to everyone, and especially thanks for the critique. It's really needed when trying to get better as a Modeler. Edit: Oh and Jim, your builds are always very nice, I can't wait to see what you do with the Hudson. At least I guess it will be Shiny, which is always great. Looking forward of seeing Geoff's build, too.

What A Paint Job! WOW!!! It looks like Glass Finish to me, simply outstanding. Not only the paint is spectacular, the whole car looks Very good to me. You did excellent job again, thanks for sharing this one.

Thanx For Lookin'!

Just finished my First build for 2013, A Hudson Hornet! Moebius Models' kit is really excellent quality, and I enjoyed building this one a lot. It's built Factory stock, painted and clearcoated with Spray cans and then I polished the paint job to make it shine. Well, overall it turned out Okay, could be better, but this is the best I could do. Tell me what you think and give all kinds of feedback: Good or Bad. WIP Pictures can be found from Community Builds Section from Hudson Hornet Build Madness Topic.

The Hornet's Nest: Hudson Hornet Build Madness!
W-409 replied to Dr. Cranky's topic in Community Builds
Alright, I managed to get this one done for the Model Car Show. Here are the rest WIP Pictures. I Foiled the body, and I really have to say that it was huge job to do, and not very easy either. The End Result is not perfect, but Good Enough for me. Then I installed the rear windows. The windshield fitted nicely, but I had problems with the rear window. But finally I got it installed nicely, and the body looked like this. The body and chassis fitted really nicely together, and after some engine detailing and installing few chrome parts, it was almost done... Here is the End-Result in the Show. I will post pics to Under Glass, I'll add the link in here too. Now starting the Fabulous Hudson Hornet Stock Car!
