A little update, I scratchbuilt the Fuel Filter from styrene tubing and added those fittings to it. The Fuel Line is made from Home Made "Braided Line". Next I'm moving on to scratchbuilding the Fuel Pump and Fuel Pressure Regulator. After that I can complete the fuel lines.

You're on the list, Rob. Very interesting build you have there, can't wait to see more. Never seen Chevy Straight Six (Blue Flame?) in a Gasser, so I'm really looking forward for this one.

It's not a Dead Forum, actually great place. Well there are not that many builds as in here of course, but I still like it. If I remember correctly, it took few days to get the Account Approval, too.
-
Yeah! This'll be interesting, as said earlier. Looks good so far and thanks for joining in. Maybe this gives me the inspiration to take out '41 Plymouth and get going again.

Very nice Fairlane, just the style I like. And of course, the subject couldn't be much better. Especially the interior looks like Full Scale one, nice job with the detailing.

That's perfect wheel choice. Keep coming.

Well, no Models, but snow YES. Actually these are from 2011, but it looks the same now...

I think it would fit nicely to Drag-section. It's a Drag Racer, doesn't matter if it's a Pro Modified or Weekend Warrior. But anyway, in On The Workbench, or Drag Racing Models, I will follow it surely. Just change the wheels (or hubcaps), no one use those really, all are lightweight Aluminium wheels. Otherwise it's looking excellent, I like the different engine choice. What's wrong, I posted this one and only the first sentence was saved, all other dissapeared. Now I had to write it again.

Nightmare Kits CBP - aka Masochistic Modelers Anonymous
W-409 replied to Jantrix's topic in Community Builds
Whoops, sorry guys. Missed that one. Well I'll put it back in the box waiting for the January first. -
I use Tamiya Masking Tape for small Mock Ups. If I have to mock up a lot of parts, then I use white glue which works very nicely. Parts are easy to take apart again, but they don't fall apart too easily.

Nightmare Kits CBP - aka Masochistic Modelers Anonymous
W-409 replied to Jantrix's topic in Community Builds
Okay here we go with the Camino. I started by playing with the wheels and tires. Since it's going to be a Street Machine, I decided to go with my all time favorite wheels: Centerline! I changed the tires too. For the rear, I chose wider Centerlines than regular/most common ones and front wheels are very narrow. I had to do a little test fit to see that they fit fine. Then I started the engine. I painted the block and some other parts Tamiya Red and decided to go with Aluminium intake manifold, which is from the kit, too. Even if it's bit flat, I thought it will look good once I install good carburetor and Air Cleaner on it. Weiand valve covers are from the parts box. -
Oh I didn't remember I have this on the stash, too. This is really a NightMare kit, I've started it but got stalled just because of the kit quality.... Maybe this project makes me to go back building it again, and maybe doing another entry to Nightmare Kits CBP (Two entries were allowed?). Looking very good so far, I like the engine, but especially the wheels look nice. Fantastic color!

New camera for christmas......see?
W-409 replied to Terry Sumner's topic in General Automotive Talk (Trucks and Cars)
Heh, I got a new Camera too, but the Macro is not as good as it was in my beformer camera. But otherwise it takes 100 times better pictures, and there's working zoom and camera can be closed properly (Those were wrong with the old one). Needs to try not to drop it on floor. Your picture looks very good and sharp, it really helps finding mistakes, but actually it's hard to find mistakes from your builds. Does that Camera have a video-recording mode? That's something I think is a Must Have, because then I can film all Burnouts on local Cruisings (Yes, in Finland) without carrying a big video camera with me. -
Nightmare Kits CBP - aka Masochistic Modelers Anonymous
W-409 replied to Jantrix's topic in Community Builds
If it's Okay to everyone, I jump in with MPC Reissued '86 El Camino. There's no single Nightmare-part on that kit, but the overall detail-or lack of overall detail makes me think it qualifies in this CBP quite well. The body is nice, though. I'm planning to build mine as Mild StreetMachine and making some little easy upgrades to the kit, but I've planned not to start cutting and slicing it. I have started the engine, but once I get more done, I'll post more pics. However, here's the boxart. -
Nice Model, and those register plates are all right. One guy here in Finland raced few years ago with '63 Buick Special on Circle Track. He always drove to the Race track with a Roofrack full of important equipment, no trailer, bus or any service vehicle. It was really nice car. But yeah, not to highjack... Your Honda turned out excellent.

That Wagon is a hard one. I have no idea, but.... '80 Datsun 510?

Let's Try. '69 Chevy Chevelle. Shelby GT350 '68 Chevy Camaro '66 Chevy Nova '70 Plymouth Duster '69 Mustang

I got Revell '62 Impala, '69 Corvette and MPC '86 El Camino as a Christmas Present. Also few small paint brushes from my Sister. The Impala will be '60s Stocker, Corvette will be Stocker as Raced nowadays and that El Camino will be basic Street Car. And of course, we got A Lot of Snow.

Put me on the list with '69 Ford Torino Talladega. When can I start building?
-
Thanx Dave! Well that would be a good idea to try if I can't find ProTech Braided Line. Looks like he has it in Stock now, when looking at the web-page. Maybe needs to put order in. Merry Christmas and fast Elapsed Times on the New Year.
-
Heh, Thanks Charlie! I hope Teppo Saari has those Pro Tech Braided Lines in stock, I have to put an order in soon. The problem with that Scale Dreams' line is that it can be pushed flat too easily, so it's not round anymore and those lines are much harder to keep in one piece than Pro Tech lines. Those are not bad, though, not just for me.
-
Thanks Tyrone and Darryl, the comments are really appreciated. The fuel lines are finally done. Huh, that was quite a job to do and I'm not sure if the end result is as good as it could be. I think the Detail Master braided line is not the best for this job, I had Pro Tech before and it was better, but couldn't find it last time so I bought this. Well anyway, now I can move on to the cooling system with its Braided lines. I also planned my next project which will start once this is completed in some point of 2013, '64 Dodge 330 Funny Car.

The only way to make Lamborghini interesting... I'll be watching this one closely, keep it up.
