Cool Mustang Funny Car, sure looks good. The paint and decals look smooth and nice to me, but the engine detailing made my jaw to drop to the floor. Nice job.

Beautiful Chevy Gasser! And in that short time...WOW!!! My hat is off. Really like the paint job, color is excellent too and flames give nice finishing touch. Cool to see Six Cylinder Gassers also.

The Story: On December 31st, Jack came home with the new toy which will be racing in Cannonball Rally 2013. It's '69 Ford Torino Talladega with 428 Cid engine and it's rust free, so the boys don't waste time on welding it. The co-driver Joe was still bit unsure about the car... It's a FORD! The boys had never built Ford engine. Jack told him that they could find a bunch of books how to rebuild Ford's engine and start doing that, last year they did the same with the Early Hemi in '57 Chrysler and they did it right: Chrysler finished 3rd place overall! Jack bought also a Blower, but they are still unsure to use it or not. The Build: Here's my basis for this project, Revell's '69 Ford Torino Talladega, still sealed. My plan so far is, that I don't have a plan. I just don't know what way this should go-maybe somekind of BlowerPower StreetMachine or then a bit Stock Car style racer... We'll see.

Thanks Guys for the kind words! I was going to spray some primer over the chassis, but I had to remove the textes from it. Now there's some putty-work to do, since I've noticed that even if you sand them smooth, they can be still seen under the paint. So, I'm going to fix the problem with little amount of putty today, and hopefully tomorrow I can go to paint booth with that part again. But if everything goes well, I will paint the body today with white.

This turned out fantastic. After that little shortening-operation, it sure looks like Morris Delivery or something, which is not a bad thing. And the amount of scratchbuilt parts on this one, is absolutely incredible, I also like to see when all doors, tailgate, hood etc are opening like that. And they can be closed cleanly, too. You did amazing job with this one.

All of these are amazing builds. I like to see these Older Pro Stockers being built, too. As well as Super Stockers and Stockers, of course. Great change from Pro Mod and Funny Car builds (Nothing wrong with them either). I can't pick my favorite, they all are so nice.

Both builds look good! Rob's stance is just perfect, I really like the white walls. Ian's door looks excellent, that opened vent is excellent idea, too, never thought of doing it. I took the Plymouth on the bench again, I'll post some pics tomorrow. Engine is getting there, and I also started making the rear fender wells of the body bigger to fit those slicks in.

I'm in for sure... Just don't know yet what I'll be building, but maybe something with Twin Turbos, like Larry Larson's Nova or Nelson Racing Engines' Pontiac Tempest.

I think the most common problem with those videos is that the camera really don't focus as nicely as it would when taking still pictures. I had to try this one myself, and yes, focusing to engine details (for example) was impossible. And usually when there's horrible music on the video, it makes me to stop watching. I really prefer pictures. However I voted that Sometimes I do and Sometimes I don't. Especially Dr. Cranky's videos are excellent, I like watching them a lot. Especially those unboxing videos. But otherwise I watch videos very rarely.

Thanks Fellas! I've been bit sick and had no power to do anything big, I've been eating chocolate and playing Street Challenge (BTW an excellent Drag Race game, and Free. Today I drove new personal best for my NitroFish Pro Stocker: 6,7573, Pro Mod runs high 5's too.) Anyway I got the carburetor linkage done and installed fuel lines from carburetors to Fuel Pump. Also sanded the body a bit, there were only minor mold lines and painted it with primer. However I didn't have Maston's grey primer I like to use, so I had to paint it with Maston's Red primer. Same time I painted the interior floor with primer, too.

That color is perfect for this one... Looks really good! Nice job with the seat also, it looks just like 1:1 Racing seats do. Your builds are always nice to follow, thanks for sharing them!

...And the best thing is, that the chassis can be kitbashed to fit inside another body. But yes, the kit is great, only problems were when I tried to get the roll cage installed, it needed some little cutting. Ohterwise I found no problems. And BTW: It's not a Pro Stock.

That's fantastic Truck, as always John! The paint work and detailing looks super, really dig the overall look and stance too. Your builds just keep impressing me, can't wait to see the T-Bucket completed.

I did some heat staining for the Headers, here you can see it bit better: I also finished the tires and wheels for this one. I wanted to use those WhiteWall Decals that came with the kit, I was afraid of using them in the beginning since I remembered how I tried to apply them to my '64 Impala Custom many years ago... And Wow, they were very tricky, but once I got the hang on of it, the last three decals went easier. Wheels are painted Gloss Red and I installed those Dog Dish Hubcaps for the front. I'm thinking of installing valves to those wheels too, but I'm not sure of it yet. Somehow it would be interesting to try, well let's see... The interior needed full carpet because removing the backseat, so I covered the sheetmetal area with paper, today I'm planning to paint the whole floor pan and put some Flocking on it. Since the Senior-Lindström posted his '57 Chevy, I decided to show what I'm working currently in a side of that Torino, Chi Town Hustler and so many more other projects.... This is a Revell '62 Impala (Special Edition kit, non Bubbletop version) which I got as a Christmas Present. It's really great quality kit, lots of parts inside and once you open the box, it's very possible that you can't get the parts inside the box again. My plan for this kit is to build '60s style Super Stocker. There are nice decals and other DragRace parts inside the box. Well actually even if there were parts for original Impala only, I would have built it as a Super Stocker anyway. I started by sanding the rear tires, here the other one is sanded, other is still to be sanded. Then I started building the engine, Block, Heads and Oil Pan are painted orange, Intake Manifold is aluminium etc. The basic 409 colors! The kit had nice decals for the engine, two for each Valve Covers, two for the Generator, one for the Oil Filler tube and one for the belt. I installed them, and made plug wires too. Started detailing the carburetors, but the linkage is still in progress in these pics, and I need to do a lot more detailing to the carbs before I call them done. ' Edit: The last picture didn't show... Now it's fixed again.

A little update, I scratchbuilt the Fuel Filter from styrene tubing and added those fittings to it. The Fuel Line is made from Home Made "Braided Line". Next I'm moving on to scratchbuilding the Fuel Pump and Fuel Pressure Regulator. After that I can complete the fuel lines.

You're on the list, Rob. Very interesting build you have there, can't wait to see more. Never seen Chevy Straight Six (Blue Flame?) in a Gasser, so I'm really looking forward for this one.

It's not a Dead Forum, actually great place. Well there are not that many builds as in here of course, but I still like it. If I remember correctly, it took few days to get the Account Approval, too.

Yeah! This'll be interesting, as said earlier. Looks good so far and thanks for joining in. Maybe this gives me the inspiration to take out '41 Plymouth and get going again.

Very nice Fairlane, just the style I like. And of course, the subject couldn't be much better. Especially the interior looks like Full Scale one, nice job with the detailing.

Well, no Models, but snow YES. Actually these are from 2011, but it looks the same now...

I think it would fit nicely to Drag-section. It's a Drag Racer, doesn't matter if it's a Pro Modified or Weekend Warrior. But anyway, in On The Workbench, or Drag Racing Models, I will follow it surely. Just change the wheels (or hubcaps), no one use those really, all are lightweight Aluminium wheels. Otherwise it's looking excellent, I like the different engine choice. What's wrong, I posted this one and only the first sentence was saved, all other dissapeared. Now I had to write it again.

Whoops, sorry guys. Missed that one. Well I'll put it back in the box waiting for the January first.

I use Tamiya Masking Tape for small Mock Ups. If I have to mock up a lot of parts, then I use white glue which works very nicely. Parts are easy to take apart again, but they don't fall apart too easily.
