Snow plowing! It has been snowing two days now, and there is pretty much of that white-stuff now... If it keeps on Snowing, I might have to put my 1:1 toy in a side for a while, but if they can get those snow plowing trucks moving, then I can continue driving with this one:

Yes they are. Have you tried to contact Email adress raurata@yahoo.com? It should work just fine, Tapani is very nice guy to deal with. Bodies are excellent quality too, even if they might be a little pricey, but totally worth it, IMO.

This was built to the Cannonball Rally Community Build. I started from AMT kit which was really great quality, the plan was make a simple and clean Race Car with just simple racing numbers and nothing special in the engine or interior, a bit like those Old Stock Cars were. Engine is pretty much out of the box, except added details and those Aftermarket Air Cleaners. It went together very well, no any kinds of problems. I tried to paint it pretty much Factory Colors so the engine builders haven't made their own color decisions. Interior is very good quality straight from the box, so I added only a Tachometer there. Of course the Cable or whatever it is called (It's Mechanical!) is added. Interior is painted with Humbroll Radome Tan, dashboard is black and white with silver details, and I used some BMF for the Door Panels. Chassis simulates the Red Oxide primer and white overspray, except for brake lines, it's box stock. Body is painted with spray can and clearcoated & Polished. It turned out quite good. Nothing special in the Final Assembly, it went together pretty nicely, even if some people has complained about the fit issues. Only problem was the Passenger's side taillight bezel, but otherwise I found no problems. Once the body was on the chassis, I detailed the engine bay a bit more with Battery Cables and other important wiring and plumbing. Water hoses are rubber too, and I wired those Horns also. I won't bore you to death (If I didn't do it already) with my bad English, so onto the pictures!

Heh, that's exactly what I was thinking on the Morning! THE CHRYSLER IS FINISHED!!!! I'm very happy to get it done by the Deadline. I will start writing the Under Glass post in few hours time, then you get some more information about the final assembly and that kind of stuff. This was alot of fun, and even if my Chrysler is far away from the best builds in here, I'm happy with it. I had to blur one Teaser-shot. I will insert a link to this post when Under Glass post is made.

That Challenger looks especially cool. I haven't seen many of these New Muscle Cars being built as Drag Racers, which is a shame because they're very potential QuarterMilers. I'm building '10 Mustang Super Stocker myself, and I'm going to build the new Copo Camaro and Drag Pack Challenger once I get few current WIPs finished. So, yours look excellent and very clean.

Well THAT's cool! Excellent, perfect stance and very nice tire choice. I like those rear wheel openings on the body and scoop turned out very nice. That's fantastic!

Very interesting builds you have, and they look good! One little tip for the pictures. Not to be a nitpicker or anything, these are just so interesting and so nicely done (From what I can see) that I'd like to see sharp pics. If you're using a cell phone for the pics, one way is to take pictures from longer distance and then use Cropping-feacture which can be found for example from Photobucket.com. Or then go outside where is alot light, then it doesn't matter very much if you have a Cell Phone or real camera. If you use camera, use Super Macro-feacture. That's marked by a flower to some button, takes very sharp pictures. Hope it helps. As I said earlier, all of your builds look very good and interesting! More, please.

Sorry to hear that, Billy. I hope it turns out good though. A small update of my Chrysler. The engine bay is slowly getting there, still some more work to do, but I managed to get the battery on place, cables are by Scale Dreams and those battery connectors (?) are by Detail Master I guess. All other wires are Scale Dreams too, except water hoses what are electric wires from my parts box. The grille is installed too, and I painted those Headlight bezels (?) white. Should be done by tomorrow, all parts are painted. Just needs to throw it together.

Thanx Dave! Sorry it has been a while since the latest update... I've been working hard with the '57 Chrysler at Cannonball Rally CBP, but it must be done tomorrow, so I'm finally moving my attention back to this one. Another slowing thing that has been on my way last two days, is that it has been snowing pretty hard outside, and I've been playing with an 1:1 scale toy. Very fun to go sideways with it. Anyway, I was able to put some more bondo to the chassis, sand it smooth, spray another coat of primer and then it looked smooth enough to be covered with paint! Since this is a Stocker, I could paint it black, but I wanted to paint it just like factory did, so the owner has painted Red Oxide primer and body colored overspray for the chassis. This is where I am at now: Sorry the paint is still wet in the picture.

That turned out very nice! The paint looks excellent, I do like the body modifications too. Great detailing and very cleanly done.

This is your solution, if that Blower hat is really what you're looking for this project. Nice job with the body, I like the paint scheme. Those rivets turned out great. Interesting build, I remember building this kit too and it was alot of fun even if it was quite hard to get together (with my skills maybe 5 years ago ). Yours is looking good!

That sounds like very good news to me. It's a shame that we don't have NASCAR series here, or it doesn't come even from TV. What engine does that Truck Have? It sounds very weird to me.

This looks very good to me nice job with the Cowl hood, and paint job looks really smooth and shiny too. Chute details are very nice, excellent build.

That's very nice Oldsmobile! I haven't seen too many of them built as Police Cars, yours is good exception between those hundreds of Oldsmobile Customs (which are cool too). Nice and clean, nice paint job too.

Wow, that's very nicely done Charger! I like the paint job. Those handpainted graphics.... WOW! I bet that I would have caused a big mess if I were trying to paint them, you sure have steady hands! Nice looking build overall.

Nice! I've always liked Mercury Cougars, you've made it a justice! Great looking paint job and nice BMF. Engine bay looks good too. Keep them coming, I always like to see your excellent handywork.

Nice to see progress on this one! I like where this is heading, and for the rear tires, if you're going to make it a Drag Racer, those narrow 9" Slicks do have enough traction if the chassis is built correctly, in 1:1 world, I guess. And if it's a Street Car, it could be in Linna Cruising's Burnout Contest with narrow tires and steelies. :lol:

Thanks, Adam And Nick for the kind words about my Chrysler-build! I'm working on small details now, so no updates yet. I had to repaint the hood, too, it's in primer now so today I will spray some white on it. The engine bay needs a few parts and it's done, then I can put the grille, lights etc. on place and call it done. It looks like I'm going to make it!

Strange, but I haven't had any problems with posting. Sometimes the site loads S-L-O-W-L-Y, but usually not. One I got that SQL Error, too. But really there has been nothing special in my computer.

Nice project, as always! I like the look already, this'll turn out fantastic, I guess! Where is the Nailhead engine from, that's something I'd like to have in Hot Rod too.

The Intake Manifold and Throttle Body for my '66 Mustang Pro Mod project. Built from Styrene tubing and sheet styrene. The Scoop for my '59 Simca Gasser, scratchbuilt from sheet styrene. Otherwise the engine is NOT scratchbuilt. The Pro Charger and its pipings are scratchbuilt from Solder and plastic (Plastic is used for those welding-seams). Also the headers are scratchbuilt from solder. That engine will be in Fox Mustang. And the Hood for this Junkyard Mustang is scratchbuilt from Aluminium and crashed.

Very Nice Barn Find Willys! I like the weathering, it looks excellent to me and very realistic too. Nice idea of it having only engine block, too, but the Cylinder Head doesn't look very realistic. It's easy to make some upgrades to those Cylinder Heads, I made valve springs and rocker arms (?) on mine few years back, and it looked much better than that AMT? Part. Overall it looks excellent!
