As I thought, it was real. So I voted "Real". This was more tricky than I expected, I think, it looks like real, not like model. But these little harder ones are lots of funnier than easy ones. Nice car BTW, great start for a RatRod.

Wow, amazing build, Tom! I like to see Mercury Corvertible, so many times these are Coupes of course. But this one looks very good, color is nice and paintjob looks very good to me. Interior colors are matching perfectly and nice work with the engine detailing too, I can't really find any mistakes from it. I like seeing some different, and I'm really not sure, why I did chop the top of my '49 Mercury, it's AMT. It just looked so bad, low car but high top. Anyhow, your build looks very good to me. More of these, please!

This one looks very interesting so far. Personally I don't like that hood, but that other thing looks very good and I like seeing big modifications, it's always very great and gives some inspiration to myself to continue tricky builds. Nice work with it, more please!

I was just thinking about the same thing few days ago, how is this coming along... It looks very good, I can't understand how someone can build that way, this one is awesome and I can't wait to see more progress, and the under glass post.

Just a little update to the dashboard! I have painted it long time ago with red and now it was time to paint that chromed part to silver. It went pretty well, and cauges are painted with gloss black. I also installed the dashboard to the interior. It went pretty well. Now it's time to paint other interior parts and chassis needs to get finished. I must also try to paint that hood finally, so this car is slowly getting closer to finish... But still lots of work before it. Post comments, if you feel like it.

That molded in exhaust is very stupid thing. I have removed exhaust pipes from '56 Bel Air's chassis and it's very stupid thing. Those front fenders are nicely done also. I like all kinds of scratchbuilding or modifications.

STUNNING!!! This is amazing, how some builder (who else than MR. Teresi) can build this big modifications, but that nicely! There are no any bad mistakes on the Alclad Chrome, and that needs really good work with the putty and sanding. I like the engine too it's so detailed that it looks real. Can you get it running? Diorama looks awesome too, I like that "Look But Don't Touch" sign and those pictures on the ground are very nice. This one is awesome, I can't find ANY mistakes from it. Interior is stunning too, I'm speechless about your Thunderflite build! :o

Amazing job you did with that. I must get this kit, it's simply perfect basis for building NASCAR racer or custom. I like the paint on that and foiling work is very nice too. Engine looks good also, I can't wait to get this one to my hands...

71 Camaro Pro Mod w.i.p updates 2/20/2011

Awesome job you do seriously. That detailing is perfect, really impressive work with the engine, altough. Scott Shafiroff engines are pretty popular, great choice to use it. Paint is also amazing, I like the job, you did on the flames. -
AMAZING! Those are really nice builds, all of them. I like Drag Racing, and Pro Modified is very great group. Nice work with all of them. It would be nice to see one (or two) with Blower and without NOS systems. Those are amazing, it doesn't make sense to try finding mistakes from them. It's simply too hard, inpossible, I would say.

With your building skills this will be awesome, when finished! It's very interesting subject too, I like it. I was looking that body few days ago, and it would be nice to get, but it's too expensive for now. Good luck with your project.

That Cuda looks super so far. I like the paintjob with all of those decals. Old Drag Racing cars are my all time favorite. Thank you for joining in. Also that Corvette is amazing. I like that stance, as you said the front is little high, but I hope that you can manage with it. Like these Revell kits, they are always well detailed. Oh, almost, I have seen some old releases and they aren't so good but anyways...

This kit looks very, very interesting and pretty good too. I like these, great old school racers with Flathead V8 engines. Like this color and the paint is also very nice. I think, that interior looks very good too. What I can see from the engine picture, it looks very good too. Lots of chrome parts looks good and I like those tires and wheels, they just fit fine to this one. Nice build all over, thank you for sharing.
-
Is the body without paint? Looks like it. Otherwise than the paint and color this build is very cool, I like the engine detailing a lot, but maybe it would look better if there should be other colors too, now all I can see is chromed. Those tires and wheels doesn't fit to my eye, I don't like that kind of wheels in a Hot Rod. Nice build anyways.
-
That's just custom work. '60 Impala in the garage and there is also three red lights on each side, that looks good, I think. But yes, as I said, I like this model very very much.
-
Nice, that would be nice on my room too! Great color, I like it and that paintjob looks good too. Engine is very nice, and detailing is amazing. That wooden floor looks very nice in the "trunk" and interior work is nice too. This is one must have kit too, but I have maybe too much them... Anyways this one looks very good.

More stuff. I finally managed to get firewall, interior and chassis parts for single pieces, they were glued with so heavy stuff that they were almost inpossible to take apart. But now when I got them for single pieces, I cut out some plastic from interior to get door hinges fit. Those doesn't matter at all anyways. Also I started building the front suspension. Still lots of work left, but I lowered the suspension, which is from '57 Nomad. I must get it to fit fine for the Vette. It's for example too wide. I also started working with engine. I removed the old paint and glue from where the oil pan and cylinder heads must go with hobby knife, because they were too hard places to sand. Then I sanded the other engine and it looks pretty good now- ready for paint. Cylinder heads needed some putty. That's why I used Green Putty to them and now only thing, needs to go is sanding. Body is almost ready for primering now, but the hood is the only thing, I'm not sure yet. Maybe I must make a bigger scoop there... Now I have lots of Corvettes under construction. This one, that Historic racing Vette, then I'm building '67 Corvette Roadster, and from the same kit I'm also building protoype, it's '67 Corvette with '57 'Vette's roof and windshield screen. I must build '54 Corvette Nomad protoype too, when I get correct kits for it. Here is the wheel knob whatever cut off... Here you can see, how much I did lower the front. Interior cut. Puttied cylinder head and original one: And I think, that it's not the MPC kit. Look over here, please! Thank you for looking, comments are always welcome.

1969 Camaro Pro Mod w.i.p updates 03/06/2011
W-409 replied to tyrone's topic in WIP: Drag Racing Models
Nice start! Is that chassis from '55 or '57 Chevy pro sportsman with some modifications? Roll cage is done that way too? Body looks good also, reminds me from these Finnish PM Camaros, here is the first one, Tami Brander's Camaro and here is Tomi Pöntinen's Camaro . Great project, cant wait to see more. -
Nice model! It would be nice concept car if those wheels would be different. Paintjob looks very good and color is very nice. Custom work is done very nicely, I like this one. Engine looks pretty good, detailing is good, but only one thing is disturbing me on the engine. It's that you have drilled little too big holes for heater hoses. Just a little thing. Wheels are awful, but when other model looks this good, they doesn't really matter too much. Awesome!

That cab would work fine like a rat style. It looks lil' rusty/ dirty right now, it would be cool. But before you paint it, it would be nice to see that you grave those panel lines back. Now they are gone away because of sanding, or it looks like it... Nice project you got going there anyways, keep it up.
-
Thank you for the comments, again! Here is the next update! I have hinged the doors now. It was very hard to do, and took very much time. I made many, many many of them but now these ones are the first good enough, and they work fine. That ligh blue pipe is cotton stick. The main hinge is MIG welding wire, it works fine, it's quite easy to bend with forceps but it keeps the shape, doors aren't too heavy to them. Today I finally got correct ones done. I just glued the other end of the hinges to the doors, door panels maybe needs some modifications, but I must just do it. Cotton stick piece is glued to body, but MIG wire is not glued to that pipe, it's moving "for free" there and now it works great. Next step is engine work or chassis work. Huh, that was my first hinged doors... I'm very happy how they turned out. What do you like?

So you haven't much reference for it, if I understood correctly. My Enghlish is so "great"... Few links, which I found: Picture It's not 100% same car, but I think, that engine might be pretty close to that one, you have there... That picture is from This page, there are lots of pictures from Corvettes. Some info Don't know, maybe you have found these before, but I found these now.
-
Yes, thanks Bart! I think I do like that, I got some info from Bill Coulter too, and now I think, I'm pretty sure about, what's the problem with thay engine. That's the easiest way and then make a new 429 C.I. decals to the hood. More about the hood, coming later today, now I haven't enough time for that.

Rob, you are in with that Stars & Stripes Corvette. And yes, I'm going to move that december 31 2011 for a last day to get in and then there is no deadline so people can join in on the last day and then it's time for build it as long as it takes.
