  1. Great! This is very interesting project, your builds are always very nice to watch, and these are turning out just better and better! This is going to be amazing, as always... That green is one of the best color choices for 'Cuda. I like it, keep on the good work with it.
  2. That body looks really smooth, great looking right now! Colors are nice too and I like the paintjob... Engine looks really good too, detailing on it is very nice. I can't wait to see this one finished. And those pictures could be little bigger, not much but a little?
  3. Thank you, Jim! This kit is bought pretty long time ago from Tietonikkari. It's in Helsinki, Finland. From FLA, I bought Jeff Gordon Monte Carlo NASCAR kit, Kenworth W900 and '65 Chevy Pickup kits. Next time, I must take some more bags, so I can buy more models... Now I know, where to find them.
  4. Yes, I agree with Mike and Rob. Actually, using Bare Metal Foil is not too hard. I tried it first time and ended to Corvette body, which looked like this. Of course I had the same problem, that painting those details was hard, here are two examples... Vega and Chevelle. But slowly, I started to paint chrome trims better without masking tape.'66 Olds... These are just examples, how i have done. So what I want to say is that it's possible to paint those chrome trims quite nicely without masking tape, as my '66 Olds shows you, but as for the Vega and Chevelle, they are looking just like this... So do it more carefully.
  5. Keep up the good work with this one! I like the modifications, you have done so far. I like the flip nose and that rear fender from MPC kit, it fits fine to this body. I can't wait to see this Gasser finished, Gassers are my favorites!
  6. Jim, you are on the list with 1966 Corvair Yenko Stinger and Corvair Gasser. Thanks for joining in!
  7. This one is looking very good to me. It was very nice to look at the WIP thread, on the workbench section. It was nice to see, how this one turns out. Now it's looking very good, engine detailing is nice and color is perfect. Paintjob is really good too, and interior looks good. I like this very much, wheels and tires are great, and nice basis for Hot Rod, I have rarely seen any Austin Hot Rods. Nice job with it.
  8. This one is simply amazing! I can't say any bad words from this, it's perfect! I love that color on it, and all bodywork is done very nicely. That is great to see some wagons being built, these are too rare in scale, I'd like to build one too. Nice Chevy!
  9. Thank you, Clay! I have been thinking the color choice for this. Right now, body and interior are the next steps, but I don't know the color of body and I want that interior color matches to the body... Maybe this will be red, but I'm not sure about it, let's have a see.
  10. This is coming together slowly but surely... I had some time for this project last weekend... I started to build chassis. It went together pretty well, specially I liked the way how rear springs fit to chassis. I used the drop axle to the front. It needs still shocks and some brake lines, and other detailing as well. I also glued engine to its place. It wasn't the easiest thing, but gluing the tires and wheels, huh, it was awful. Anyways, it's now pretty good, and wheels are looking good. I put some black wash for them, and tire textes are painted also. Some Mockup pictures...
  11. Thanx, Greg! I have sanded some of the body, the hood is pretty good right now. Rear fenders are pretty good too, but theu still need some bondo... I think, this build will continue pretty soon. It needs also work with the engine and interior and chassis...
  12. This is going to be interesting! These are perfect cars for building Pro Mod, or Top Doorslammer. I like the paint, it looks very good on this body. Engine looks good too, and that mockup is so great that I can't wait to see the finished product...
  13. Cool Dragster... I think, The Ramchargers Front Engine Dragster is maybe the nicest FED, I've seen. Nice job with this, decals are nicely matching to the "body", engine detailing looks very good to me and there are no big mistakes. I have the same kit under construction, but it's coming together very slowly... Thank you for sharing this one.
  14. These are getting better and better. Every model that you build, is better than the beformer one, great! Paintjob looks pretty good. Grille looks very good and engine is nice too. Here are couple of tips, how you can make the next one even better. Those Custom trims, you did, could be painted more carefully. Same thing is in the window trims. Bare Metal Foil is good stuff for doind chrome trims. Other way: Use masking tape. It will help you to get it look more realistic. Spark plug wires are bit too thick, but it's not mattering too much. It's great looking model anyway.
  15. So, when is the deadline, I didn't get it?
  16. I'm not sure if this is the correct place to post this, but I'd like to know, is there Buick Nailhead in 1:24 or 1:25 scale? It would be nice to get for somekind of HotRod... Have you seen it in any kit, or aftermarket etc... I remember that I maybe saw once Nailhead in 1:25, but don't know if it's built from any other engine. Also Oldsmobile Rocket, old Rocket, not 468" CID. It would be nice to get for a Hot Rod also.... Any information, please tell it.
  17. Very nice Impala! This is very nice NASCAR racer. You built it very fast, but it looks nice anyway... Color and paintjob are great and I like the PPP wheels. I bought few sets from Daytona Racing Hobbies and souvenirs, just next to the speedway. Nice job with it and those decals you did are amazing also. Nice job with it!
  18. Few more photos, thanks for lookin'! Feedback is welcome...
  19. Finally an update! I really wanted to use L88 scoop for this. Chevy used L88 scoops in Corvettes. This hood had quite bad scoop for this style car. Here in Finland, they used lots of L88 scoops in the early 80's. I got one for a trade while back, and it's now installed. The scoop is from '68 Corvette, which means that it's too long for the hood. I opened holes for the scoop. I did it with Trumpeter Panel Scriber and a hobby knife... Then I did some test fitting with this scoop. It was almost longer than the hood! So I made the scoop shorter. I did some test fitting and drew lines where to saw a hole for this new scoop. I cut quite muxh stuff from the hood, now the scoop fits fine. I glued the dcoop to its place. It was time to put some bondo to the hood. Now it just needs lots of sanding. Also I put bondo to the fenders. Now, I think it's some sanding left and then I can paint primer on it. Original scoop Here it is with holes opened... Test fit...
  20. I've been busy for last days, and I had not time for posting this update earlier. So, I have sanded the body and now it's quite good, but still lots of work left before primering it. Body needs more bondo, but I also made spoiler for the rear. It's sheet styrene. I warmed it a bit so I got a right shape to it. Now I think, it's time to move on to the engine and chassis, maybe I left the body for a while... How about other projects on this community build?
  21. Nice Impala! That real thing looks very good, and model is also amazing! Color looks good on it, and those decals aren't bad! Engine detailing is nice, and those wheels and tires are looking good. I like it, you did a good job!
  22. Great car. I'm building the same thing, but from AMT's kit. I'm thinking the same color and interior is painted already blue, but body is now in paint stripper, 'cause I screwed up the primer. But nice job with the Impala, that paintjob is very great. Also I like the interior and engine detailing, this is very nice car.
  23. Amazing Pickup! Weathering is awesome and that color is great for this kind of rusted truck. This one looks like 1:1 car on the pictures, only thing, where I can see that it's a model is that engine on the bed. That distributor and intake manifold aren't just looking "right". But really great job you did on this, amazing build.
  24. Color is great! I like the paintjob, you did and decals are very nice too. Great to see one original Challenger. Engine looks very good. That air cleaner is very good looking. Detailing is also very nice and I like the chassis work. Nice job on it!
  25. Very nice work with the Willys! I love seeing wagons being built, and this is one of my favorites. I've been looking for MPC Snap Tite kit from Wagon Willys, but this is not a snaptite? Like the color combo, it looks great.
