  1. That Oldsmobile chassis seems to fit nicely to this one! Good idea of using that. This Chevelle kit is something, I have never built, but if it's bad, Monogram's kit would be better basis for the build. But it's nice to see that these AMT kits are being built. Nice job with it so far, I'll be watching.
  2. I really like this one! It looks like ready to race. Paintjob is cool and those decals are very nicely in place. Nice finishing on the body too. This is great car, I mean that this kind of race cars are interesting to watch. Even tough I'm not a super fan of these but this one is perfect.
  3. Wild Pontiac! Nicely done modifications with the body, and that chopped top looks amazing with this car. I like it very much, nice work! Paintjob is amazing, so shiny and smooth. I can't understand, how it is possible to paint that good paintjob. Awesome job with it.
  4. This is turning out great! I like the job you have done with the modifications. Frontend looks good and rear also. It looks like new Firebird, that would be cool to see 2011 Pontiac Firebird even tough I'm not a fan of new Retro Muscle Cars... Why it is 2012, are you thinking about gettin' it ready in that year? And yes, ugly big wheels would fit. Like straight from Camaro kit?
  5. You mean this kind of cleaner? I just painted the filter part with white. Best choice of making realistic cleaner is maybe to sand material off from that filter part so you can glue somekind of mesh there and after that, metal plate to under mesh, then it looks realistic. Or buy aftermarket. Maybe you understand nothing, what I said, but I tried to help anyways. This kind of air cleaner?
  6. I've used Trumpeter's panel scriber (what ever is the name...) and it works fine. Don't push too hard, many times just pull it without hard pushing, otherwise scriber comes out of the panel line and then you need putty... That's very easy. But hinges aren't really easy to build. I have used MIG wire and some pipe, where the MIG wire goes. Don't glue MIG wire, or any other wire to that pipe, otherwise the door isn't opening. I think, the best tip for hinging them is a good picture. This may help?
  7. Real nice Nova! I like it. That color is just perfect and I like the paintjob too. Vinyl top is something too rare on the scale big pluspoint on that. I like the 6 cylinder engine on it, this is basic Nova. Nice weathering on it, chassis looks very realistic as the engine. I'm building the same kit, but it'll be E/Stock Drag Racer. Nice work with this.
  8. That Chopper looks very good so far. Like the engine of it. I have the same kit too, and it needs lots of modifications to look right to me (that means old school). Your Chopper is very interesting project, I'll be watching it. Nice work chopping the Fords also, but those wheels are awful. Can't wait to see more.
  9. I have been watching these from Google... Colonial Photo & Hobby and JR Hobby are places, where I'll go, if I can. The shop near Daytona is maybe one place too, not sure yet, if I have any time for it... Rest of these are little too far. Hope I find some interesting kits, and quite cheap also. Thank you for the answers, if theree is still more, you can tell me...
  10. How is this coming along.? One of the most interesting builds on the forum... Love the work, you have done with it, can't really wait to see more. BTW, Fast Freddy is burning rubber in my avatar also.
  11. Oh, thank you for the comments, guys! Now the progress is little slow, because I need to get some matt black spray paint to my hands. Then I can paint interior carpet and flock it. Needs to paint the chassis part also. But I think, I get the paint pretty soon. Maybe. Thank you for the feedback.
  12. Amazing job you did on this! I like the stance and those wheels and tires are just perfect choice to this one. Engine detailing is stunning, and color looks very good to me. Paintjob is really nice too. How you did the hood scoop? I'm building one of these too, and it will be original, a friend to my '65 Malibu sedan, silver with red interior. Perfect combo. But yours is looking very good to me.
  13. Thank you, both! Nostalgic, old school, no bling bling, gassers, lead sleds, etc... Really don't like pro touring cars or something, it's great that we still have people who are building traditional American Cars. That's great! I'm trying to make this one as nice as I can, that means that paintjob must be good and of course, lots of wiring and plumbing. Thanks for the feedback!
  14. Nice work with it so far! I like how you did cut the top off. You are into Convertibles? They are nice, I have to say and I like '70 Cuda a lot, it's thousands of times better than the '71. Very nice and interesting project you have there, I'm watching!
  15. That's a nice start! That stance is nice, I hope that you will keep it that low. Wheels and tires are looking good too, and I like that Sedan body. I have one thing, which is wrong, Too much head clearence! Chop the top! It looks much better when the top is lower. Now it's too high. Nice project anyways, I'll be watching for sure!
  16. Hello. This is something, I have been working on currently. This is Revell Hot Rod series kit. It looks pretty good, opening doors, which fit well right now, but lets have a see how they fit after some parts glued... This kit has nice options, Pontiac Super Duty engine with Blower or Thunderbird engine. Also custom grille and lights etc are included in the kit. I really like this kit. Chrome plating is not the best one, I have seen, but enough for me. I started from the engine, as usual. Because this kit is molded to blue, engine needed three coats of red, painted with brush of course. I really don't like to put spray gun ready for paint with that small piece. Manifold and some other parts by silver and of course I use that 421 engine with the blower. Now today I installed the spark plug wires, and they are made from Detail Master's wire. It looks pretty good. Still need to do somekind of top on the distributor. And of course lots of more normal work and detailing too. This kit has pretty good rear tires, and BBS style wheels. Those rear tires are pretty good, only they are glued from two pieces. Now I must try to sand that seam off from them. Front tires are too wide for my idea. They are good for some other car, for rear tires... I started looking for somekind of front wheels, and I found better ones so far from Monogram's box. They are "Good Year Steel Belted Radial" tires, which you can see in many of Monogram kits. They just need bigger size wheel than the rear tires, that is the thing which is little mattering, I don't know, maybe I must find better ones... Frame is painted by gloss black and interior carpet is matt black. The cab is also sanded and ready for primering, maybe. It was pretty big thing to sand it and frame needed some putty, but anyhow, now the frame is painted and body looks like ready for primering. Here you can see the rest of pictures, like what's in the box:http://s486.photobucket.com/albums/rr225/nigot58/56%20Ford%20Pick%20Up/
  17. As I thought, it was real. So I voted "Real". This was more tricky than I expected, I think, it looks like real, not like model. But these little harder ones are lots of funnier than easy ones. Nice car BTW, great start for a RatRod.
  18. Wow, amazing build, Tom! I like to see Mercury Corvertible, so many times these are Coupes of course. But this one looks very good, color is nice and paintjob looks very good to me. Interior colors are matching perfectly and nice work with the engine detailing too, I can't really find any mistakes from it. I like seeing some different, and I'm really not sure, why I did chop the top of my '49 Mercury, it's AMT. It just looked so bad, low car but high top. Anyhow, your build looks very good to me. More of these, please!
  19. This one looks very interesting so far. Personally I don't like that hood, but that other thing looks very good and I like seeing big modifications, it's always very great and gives some inspiration to myself to continue tricky builds. Nice work with it, more please!
  20. I was just thinking about the same thing few days ago, how is this coming along... It looks very good, I can't understand how someone can build that way, this one is awesome and I can't wait to see more progress, and the under glass post.
  21. Just a little update to the dashboard! I have painted it long time ago with red and now it was time to paint that chromed part to silver. It went pretty well, and cauges are painted with gloss black. I also installed the dashboard to the interior. It went pretty well. Now it's time to paint other interior parts and chassis needs to get finished. I must also try to paint that hood finally, so this car is slowly getting closer to finish... But still lots of work before it. Post comments, if you feel like it.
  22. That molded in exhaust is very stupid thing. I have removed exhaust pipes from '56 Bel Air's chassis and it's very stupid thing. Those front fenders are nicely done also. I like all kinds of scratchbuilding or modifications.
  23. STUNNING!!! This is amazing, how some builder (who else than MR. Teresi) can build this big modifications, but that nicely! There are no any bad mistakes on the Alclad Chrome, and that needs really good work with the putty and sanding. I like the engine too it's so detailed that it looks real. Can you get it running? Diorama looks awesome too, I like that "Look But Don't Touch" sign and those pictures on the ground are very nice. This one is awesome, I can't find ANY mistakes from it. Interior is stunning too, I'm speechless about your Thunderflite build! :o
  24. Amazing job you did with that. I must get this kit, it's simply perfect basis for building NASCAR racer or custom. I like the paint on that and foiling work is very nice too. Engine looks good also, I can't wait to get this one to my hands...
  25. Awesome job you do seriously. That detailing is perfect, really impressive work with the engine, altough. Scott Shafiroff engines are pretty popular, great choice to use it. Paint is also amazing, I like the job, you did on the flames.
