Nice Oldsmobile. I must get this kit as soon as possible... I like the paintjob, it looks very good to me. Engine work is nice too, like that detailing a lot. Interior is very nice too. Nice model all the way, great to see this car with normal wheels and tires, not always those too big ones, which are looking funny, I think. Nice job!

That first picture looks like real one. Nice work with it, engine detailing is amazing, every pipe, hose and wire is on its place. Paint looks very good too, color combo looks perfect and paintjob is very smooth. Nice job with the BMF too. Like it, keep going.

I was thinking about that it would be good to remove that deadline? Maybe then it would be easier to build that model (I'm not going to say that I have somekind of problems with my Corvette, everything is ok). Then maybe some less "Nowimustfinishthisbuildbecausethedeadlineistomorrow!!!!" Then no hurry with these ones, if there are any problems, lots of time to fix them etc. Now, deadline is December 31 2011, that would be the last day to join in, so no deadline...? PLEASE tell me if that thing is not good or if it is very good idea, then I can think about, what I am doing.

Now those front tires are better. I like the look now. Just got that same engine to my hands, now I just need one more '60 Impala, it will be gasser too. Your one looks very good, can't wait to see it finished. Did you have spark plug wires and some other wires with that engine.? I haven't but I'm not sure that maybe there comes no wires in the box. And other question- where are those MidWest Autoparts decals from, I have been trying to hunt them.

Thank you for the comments! I primered the body yesterday. It was a little warmer than it has been long time so it was a good time to paint. It went pretty nicely with this one. I primered also '67 Impala body, but next step for it is stripping the paint off. This is good now and that's important thing...

Custom Chevy Pickup
W-409 replied to Customizer's topic in Model Trucks: Pickups, Vans, SUVs, Light Commercial
Sweet 60's styled Chevy! I like that look, lots of body modifications, that frontend and Starliner rear are looking very good and they fit nicely to the cab of the pickup. Paintjob is very nice too and wheels and tires are just perfect choice to this one. Thank you for sharing it. Any pictures from the engine or interior? -
AMAZING! Very nice work with it, I like these dioramas, beach diorama isn't so normal idea, and it's very good thing. That Chevy looks very good too. Those trees are awesome, looking so real and I like that hammock too!

I was thinking of somekind of Honda or Toyota, I can't remember anymore... Well, I must try to guess next one right. This was a car that I have never seen... And it's good, because that is very ugly car, I think.
-
Really nice project you have going there! I like the idea, and '82 Camaro is nice only one way: Race car. That tube frame looks very good and engine detailing is very nice so far. I like the idea of this build and those rear tires are huge. Like it, keep it going.

Very nice work with Alclad. I like that "chromed" body and red wheels, that combination is very good looking. Alclad work is made also very nicely, because you have done so many modifications to it, they are all made very nicely. It looks like resin kit, wich you have just painted and so on. All modifications are made perfectly. There are no any mistakes on it.

Very nice Falcon Gasser! I like this body and Gassers are very nice so Falcon Gasser is awesome. I like the color and paintjob, very nice work with it. Wheels and tires are just perfect to it. This one reminds me from very nice "Speedy Gonzales" Falcon Gasser!, it's made in Finland.

Nice slammer, paintjob looks very good to mee too. I like also the color combo. That sidetrim fits just perfectly to this one, but this would look better little lower... But anyways very nice model, it's great to see these older builds here...

Like these! Your one is very nice, I like that paintjob, it's perfect and color is very nice too. Engine detailing is stunning, all wires and plumbings are on their place. Interior looks very good too, and opening doors and trunk are done very nicely. Like it, thank you for sharing this Willys.

Great build! I like these late 70's American Cars... It would be nice to build this kit some day. Your one looks very good so far, that color combo works just fine for me and nice job with those decals! Engine looks nice so far, keep this thing going, can't wait to see more.

That's very nice Rat Rod. Usually, I don't really like rat rods, because they are rusty... But this one looks very good to me and that rust looks very realistic and stance is very good too. I also like that engine, it's very nice, I think. Interior is great, nothing unnecessary there. Nice detailing gives finishing toughes to it. I like to build these Rat Rods because it's not so critical is you fail somewhere, it can be fixed with rust, for example. This is very nice.

Nice Ford Custom! I like that color on it and paintjob is smooth... Good looking body modifications too. What I can see from the engine, it looks very good too and interior is very nice. That white matches nicely to green. Wheels and tires are very nice too. Keep on building.

Little update! I have finished spark plug wires few days ago. I made them from Scale Dreams' wire. Pretty good looking engine right now, I think. I also glued tire halves together, they didn't fit so well but maybe lots of sanding will help... Those Jo-Han tires are good ones to this. Thank you, Bill Coulter for the info, now I'm waiting when the correct hood arrives... I also built that front axle system a little, it looks pretty good so far, now it's time to move on to the rear axle. And yes, I drilled those four holes to carburetor (don't know, what's their name in enghlish), looks much more realistic. I painted also tire textes... Thank you, for looking, comments are welcome.

This is stunning! Very nice job with it. I like the paintjob very much, and that detailing is very nice. It's wild ride, but that's only good thing. Very nice work with it, keep it going. Can't wait to see, what is coming next.
-
Yes, very nice. I have been watching this project and your work loosk amazing. That paintjob is perfect and all of those decals are very nicely in place. That detailing is maybe the best part of this build, very nice job with it. I can't find any mistakes from it.

Again very nice '62 Catalina! Paintjob looks very good to me and that engine detailing is very nice too. It's nice to see these kits being built, it's very nice car in 1:1 and this model is very nice too. I like that interior and wheels and tires are very nice, altough very nice model.
-
Very interesting project you have there- it's not easy to build exactly same looking car that 1:1. It's hard to find correct parts for it. Anyways, your Pickup with diorama looks so good that this will be awesome also, when finished. Keep it going, I'll be watching it.

Yes, Swedish Hot Rodding was pretty much same thing. But of course, when I'm here in Finland, this one is Finnish Hot Rodding Corvette. I can remember, I have read those Wheels magazines (looking pictures) it's bad that I have no idea about swedish lanquage... Alright, it's MPC kit now I know it, but yearmodel will stay '64. Thank you for the comment! Matt P: Thank you for the comment, now I'm trying to get some time for building, let's have a see when comes the next update.

Thank you all for the comments! It's always very nice to hear some positive feedback. Jeff, that Corvette looks just typical, and that would be pretty fun to build. Not so easy, but it's possible to build it. Start working, it would be nice to see some progress pictures about it. George53, Thank you for watching my builds! I'm trying to build well detailed models all the time, I just don't like to build any out of the box models. Yes, it can be MPC '67 Vette. I have been also thinking, if it's Monogram's kit. I'm not sure. But anyways, Corvette models were same looking from '64 to '67 so that doesn't matter, if the kit says it is '67, I think. This is my first time trying to get doors open, so I maybe just make the typical front hinge type doors... Gull wings would look good and funny and they would fit to this but it's maybe too hard to me. Yes, I try to continue it soon, today I come back to home so maybe I can continue this one. Thank you all for the comments, and yes, these glue bombs are very fun to restore! It's worth trying.

Update to my Roadsport V8 Corvette. In the backside of the body, there was one part broke two pieces. I glued that thing back together with superglue. Now I must sand some parts to body, like frontend and taillight panel, for example. I built engine a little too. I had painted the block by red long time ago, and now I just painted transmission by silver and cylinder heads and manifold are siver too. And valve covers are painted by Humbroll Polished Aluminium, they are original BBC's valve covers, but that doesn't matter. They can be some aftermarket aluminium covers, which are looking like stock. I also glued these parts to the body, they are clear, but I will paint them with the same color as the body. This is the 50th post in this topic, and this topic has now 2000 views!

Thank you, Jody! I got some mork work done with this. I sanded those places, where I put bondo on the last update. I used 400 paper, it worked very well, as always. The body is now ready for the first primer coat, then it might need some more bondo and sanding a little... Thank you for looking!
