  1. Nice project. Looks very good so far, like that engine with blower. These '63-'67 Corvettes are very nice, I think. I can see that you have done bodywork nicely, that's great too. Like this one, can't wait to see it finished.

Welcome to the forum, Jason! Your model looks very good, what I can see from that picture. Here is one way, which might work if your camera doesn't have macro mode. Go far away from the model and zoom in (?) as much as you can. So you stand few meters away from the model and zoom as muxh as you can. Understand? (My enghlish isn't so great...) When you take the picture that far, it doesn't matter at all, if your camera is using a flash... I have taken pretty good pictures with that way, and it needs no background wallpapers etc. Of course it it doesn't work, then that might be good try. Anyways, here you can see one example of taking picture like that. I took this pic' few months ago: Click it to see picture bigger.
  3. Umm, that paintjob is outstanding! It's so shiny and specially it's smooth! Wow. Nice clean build, I haven't really been thinking of building boxstock models, but this one shows out, that boxstock can be very nice too. Awesome looking merc', I like that engine a lot too and chassis work is very nice also. Your skills are awesome, keep these models coming, can't wait to see more of your work.
  4. That is very cool looking Plymouth so far! I like that idea a lot, it's a bit different than all other '41 Plymouths! I like that weathering too, it looks very good and real. Those steelies are looking very good too on this and that decal (?) on the driver's door. Looks good, can't wait to see more of this build...
  5. Oh no, that deadline is too tight. Well, I hope that there comes good looking models to see!
  6. I specially like that engine bay, and that, you removed the inner fenders. I wanted to do that too on mine, but because Nova's front suspension is like that and I had just a little time, I left those inner fender to place. Paintjob looks really good, and color fits to my eye. Chassis doesn't really matter, because no one can see it. If there are some mistakes, who cares. You have opened the trunk very nicely, I did the same thing for '66 "Chevelle" sometime ago...
  7. Are you going to build this one factory stock? If you are, satin coat to chassis would be good choice, as Jeff said. And maaybe I should paint that front axle system by black, but some silver parts there too, of course. And if you are going to satin coat that chassis, then the frame would look good if you would paint it gloss black. Those parts are then looking like two parts, which are just bolted on, not like molded one piece, as it looks right now. Gas tank also is better if you paint it gloss black and those gas tank mounts/pins whatever by silver... There's some constructive critic, now lets move on to positive feedback. Body color looks very good, that blue fits just fine to '66 Impala. Engine in the background looks very good, and that wiring would look very cool and when engine is well detailed, hole model looks better, when the hood is opened. Your build looks very good so far all the way, thank you for sharing this one, can't wait to see it finished.
  8. That real thing looks very good. It's also great to see that when something gets finished, it will not take long time when next project is on its way. Nice job so far, that hood looks very good, I think. Interesting project you got there, I'll be watching this one...
  9. Is there any deadline? I would like to enter, if there is no too tight deadline to me.
  10. Allright, I add you to entry list. Thank you for entering. I started sanding to my Corvette. It looks good when all the paint is sanded off... Maybe I get tomorrow time to finish it up and start building the body too. I painted the engine with red already. More coming soon, I think.
  11. WOW, that's great scratchbuilding! I like this one, you are building it so nicely, I mean that if something is wrong, you fix it. That interior work looks very very good too. I like also how you did that gas tank, I'm speechless...
  12. Thank you both! Andy, you got exactly same models than me! Great. I painted those little plug hats(?) from valve covers by matt black, as they are in real thing. It would have been easier to paint them before adding ignition wires, but now I did this way. My shaking hand didn't help that task at all...
  13. Thank you both! Yes, I was thinking that these engines were Keith Black Hemi engines. Just wasn't sure about it. I painted engine block aluminium to my Firebird FC, but that doesn't look so good, because all is silver, as in 1:1 but still, it looks undetailed... This was better way right now. But thank you for the comments.
  14. Looks good so far. These latest pictures aren't the best, but I can see your progress. Engine looks very good so far, keep it going. I like this kit, it's awesome as you said earlier. Can't wait to see more!
  15. I had no time to post this topic yesterday, but here you go! This I got for X-mas present too. It's very nice kit, as always. Like just so much these Special Editions... Body needed few moficiations too. I made rear fenders bigger. Now slicks are fitting perfectly. I also sanded GTS logos from the front fenders and from the trunk lid. Also I sanded side markers from front fenders... I sanded body ready for primer. I also started the work with the engine. Block is painted by orange. I added ignition wires too, and they are looking pretty good. Interior work is the next step... Original GTS version body... Here it is, ready for primer... And some engine work...
  16. I got this kit on X-Mas present. It's very great looking kit, and there are lots of great parts. Hemi engine looks very good too. First I started the project from the engine. I painted engine block by orange. I know that it might be aluminium block, but maybe someone has painted it orange... I painted lots of stuff by silver, of course when I'm building race car. Adding spark plug wires wasn't an easy task. First I drilled little graves. Then I drilled holes there and glued wires to place. Wasn't so easy but I think, those wires are looking pretty good... Now I must build frame a little...
  17. Like them all! My favorite is that Ford project, and specially its hood! It looks like real sheet metal. Nice work with all of them, now I mean those other chapters too. Great work, I can't wait to see 2011 builds from you.

    2010 builds

They all are very nice. That '55 Chevy is my favorite. That Challenger looks very good, I mean that yellow one. Is that last one Challenger too? I don't know these new cars, doesn't matter, are they American, European or japanese cars...

    2010 builds

That first Firebird is just good looking. Like Outlaw 10,5. Nice work with them, that Camaro doesn't really fit to my eye, but that Willys looks very good too. Paintjobs are very great as always. It's very important to get great paintjob when there are no detailing like it is in "normal" plastic model kits.

    2010 builds

Nice ones! What is the last one? Looks rare model... Nice builds these are yeah, it's just so nice to see that there are still builders to traditional great looking nostalgic drag cars... Nice cars!

    2010 builds

Wow, that detailing on the Deuce looks very good! Paintjobs are very cool too, I like them all. That Hot Rod is my favorite from these ones. Cool!

    2010 builds

WOW, awesome, all of them. That first one (Gremlin?) is very nice and rare car, that's great to see one built, doesn't matter if it's slot car. That Studebaker looks very good too, paintjobs are looking good. Camaro is very nice, it looks just nice too.
  23. W-409

    2010 builds

They all are nice, but that Chevy '51 is my favorite. That Challenger looks very good too, and I can't say any negative things from that Jeep either. Very cool ones, all of them. Slot Racing must be fun!
  24. That is just perfect. I think, it's stupid to waste any time for trying to find mistakes from it. I'm pretty sure that it's impossible to find any. But that paintjob looks very good as always, si shiny and smooth. Foiling looks very good too, always when I'm foiling, BMF doesn't fit smoothly, it always looks bad. But your looks very good... That white stripe matches nicely to that color. Engine detailing looks super, as always. Chassis is very great too, I can't say any negative from it... And yes, maybe I just post my Dart there, later today...
  25. I have about 50 projects going on, and there are coming models faster than I get them finished... So that doesn't really matter... That's very nice looking Pickup so far, like your idea. Must get this kit, that's so great start for a custom. I should maybe chop the top, but that looks good too. Like it, keep pictures coming.
