  1. Wow, awesome! So smooth looking '55 Chevy! This is maybe my favourite custom style, no big body modifications, but low and smooth& clean, I mean that there are no anything no needed stuff. This is just perfect. The paintjob looks cool, it's so shiney and smooth. Colour combo is also perfect. Chrome Reverse wheels are just perfect to this, that grille looks good on it too. Engine detailing looks awesome, that engine is very nice all the way! I can't find any mistakes from it. :o
  2. Very good looking Chevelle, clean build all the way. Foiling looks nice, paintjob is very nice and I like that vinyl top very much, it looks very good. AMT's '70 Chevelle, I have never seen it, or I got bad memory. Engine looks very good too, nice detailing on it and chassis is looking good also.

    66 Nova

Good looking Nova! Usually I don't like matt black, but this one is really good. That stance is just perfect, and engine detailing looks awesome. Those wheels and tires are perfect to this one, and that wheel base is just perfect to Nova. Is it like it is in Revell's '57 Chevy kit...? Nice job with this.
  4. Thank you for the nice words! Cato, as in your pictures, there are springs in the both sides. I must make that another one to that side also... I think, I leave that other thing just how it is right now... But now the body is ready for primer. I sanded the body with 600 paper, then finishing with 1000 paper. Now it's ready. I used an eraser for a push. That's because there comes no any bowles to the body. Eraser is better than piece of wood, because the eraser is not so hard stuff... But anyways, there were pretty much sanding on the body, the wrong side of the hood, there were some ejector marks. I removed them with sandpaper. Now these parts are ready to primering. Comments welcome.
  5. Great build! That "Fast Freddy" Fagerström does always about little over 1/8 mile burnout and when he is coming back to starting line, he is reversing very very fast! That is maybe the most aerodynamic Pro Mod, I have ever seen... It was great here in Alastaro this year when Freddy was at 17th place (only 16 will get to eliminator). His Pickup didn't go straight way at all, but he was just going full throttle. It was pretty exiting but Freddy managed to get on the 16th place. First round on eliminator, his opponent drove 5.911 (1/4 mile) that's new european record. Yes, bit off topic, but...
  6. If you like building rat cars, that 150 Chevy would be nice like "found from the barn after 30 years". Rust and flat tires etc.
  7. Yes, it's Altered Wheel Base (AWB). But anyways that looks very good, paintjob is awesome and those flame decals are very nice ones. Did you make that chassis plate longer? Where are those front wheels from, I'm looking for those. This is not so great kit, but yours looks amazing, specially I like that engine, wich you have made looking good! Nice job with this awful kit.
  8. Thank you, Cato for those two pictures, they are very good, and there I can see how to detail those carburetors. Well, now I put some detailing to the carburetors, they are looking ok. I used different types of "metal wires", like MIG welding wire and stuff like that. Engine needs just few little parts, and then it's ready to be mounted to the chassis... Also the chassis work is pretty much done. That frame is painted by silver, and that rear end is gloss black... I also painted those chassis parts. Most of them are silver, but there is used other colours as well, of course. Front axle system was a bit tricky to install together, but after all, it looks pretty good. Those springs are painted by black, and then some red to give some realistic look. Rear end was bit tricky too, but there were less parts than in front. Rear axle is painted by silver and black, now it's looking pretty good, only tires and propeller shaft and engine are still missing from it. Now I must start interior work also, and body must be primered, I have graved those panel lines with Trumpeter's graver. Radiator is first painted by silver, then I painted it by black and removed the black paint from it, now that looks more realistic, I can't explain better, because of my English, look from that picture. They have made some updates to Photobucket again, so I must lear again how to use it... But comments and tips etc. are welcome!
  9. THAT'S INSANE!!!! That is awesome build! The paintjob, those decals wow, they are looking just perfect. Also that body, it's just like Graham Ellis' Superbird Pro Modified! Link It's just great! Engine detailing is super, I can't even think about adding some more details there, that's super work. Interior is very good too, very nice detailing and I just can't understand, how fast you built this one. Nice job with it!
  10. Oh, great! I have the older release from this kit, it looks pretty good kit, I think. Was there any problems with building this kit? It looks nice, colour choice is perfect and the paintjob looks good on it. Decals are nicely in place. Nice tire texts, but it would be cool to see some engine, interior and chassis pictures also.
  11. Some update to you! Today I have painted chassis parts, and the frame is also painted by silver. It looks pretty good, I think. The biggest thing, I did is the engine. Fuel lines are made from iron wire. I painted them by black. There was no fuel pump in the kit, that's why I found one from my "million box". Now I just connected those fuel lines and removed all molding flash from the carburetors. Lot better, I think. Headers are those, came with the kit now they are painted by silver, then I painted some clear blue and clear orange to them. Now they are looking like used... Also I test fitted all of the body parts, I mean hood, top and the windscreen frame. Hood was fitting very nicely, no problem with it. But if the hood fitted very well, that top and windscreen frame didn't fit at all. Finally I got them to fit correctly with tape, but I'm a bit worried about how I can fit those painted parts... Is it possible that I put those painted parts together with tape and then using super glue, gluing those parts together from "wrong side".? Comments welcome, thank you for looking!
  12. Time to post some new stuff to here also. Today I found another cylinder head to the engine, but it needs some paint stripper... But anyways, I painted also those Good Year Rally GT texts. They are looking pretty good, I think and that Corvette will look good with those wheels, I think. But here is the picture for you! Thank You for looking!
  13. Revell's kit is not so special, the engine is too small, chassis and interior are little bad quality... This one looks nice, good weathering on it and very nice job on that rust work! Nice, engine is not so good as the body, but there I can say just that "blame Revell!" Nice job!
  14. It seems to be resin body.
  15. Wow, that's nice! Othervise it's so nice that it looks like diecast, but diecast have no that kind of detailing! Nice job on this, I've been looking for this kit long long time, but always I have found something better... Paintjob looks nice, it's good idea to build it like John Deere theme. Engine detailing looks cool, and interior is nice etc. Good tire and wheel combo. Nice job on that "trailer" too, but I have never been a great fan of that. Nice model!
  16. Oh yes, that's the same thing, we had on the 80's! Great to hear. Always when I open V8 Magazine from year '82 for example, there is just like this, raised rear end and lowered front end... Thank you for the comment!
  17. Thank you! Yes, now I just understand that there are mold "flash" there, I thought before that they are something, what is in the real one... Have to remove. Plug wires are put just simplest way, and I hate that, so I leave them alone... But I have to make those carburetors better, thank you for the tip.
  18. Very interesting project, H-Bodys are always interesting. Just wondering, that how that Corvette engine would fit to the engine bay... I think, inner fenders away and move that engine a little back, modifications to the firewall... If you are thinking of headers, the best choice would be that the header pipes are like in gasser, you know? Or then very tricky Hooker Headers. Steering box makes that thing quite hard... But that doesn't matter, it's possible that all the parts are fitting lost of better in this scale, but I was just thinking about 1:1... Those wheels and tires, impossible to use them if there are inner fenders in the front. Because in 1:1 car, there is 15'' quite high profile tires and they just fit, I mean there is only a few millimetres room when turning the wheels... But keep on building, don't won't to stop you!
  19. Little update to this one. Engine is starting to come together, now it's painted three times... Now it looks blue... Nothing special, it came together very nicely, there were no any problems. Valve covers and manifold fit perfectly! Transmission is painted by silver. I also put plug wires to that engine, I have been using Detail Master's plug wires, stock wires, black. And red, black and yellow racing plug wire. But now I just bought Scale dreams black and red wire, there is 2 feet more material than in Detail Master's wire. It's matt coloured, detail Master's was shiney, and didn't look real. Now this is better, cheaper and so on. I use Scale Dream material!
  20. Some more work on this. I put some bondo to the body. I put it to the rear fenders, also those front fender needed some bondo, beformer owner has made his own systems to there, so I put some bondo to there... Now I must sand it smooth. I have the engine block right now, also I have the basis for front axle system. Rear axle needs some scratch building... Thank you for looking, comments and ideas are welcome!
  21. I like that look with out any sponsors! That is good looking Altered Wheel Base, because the rear axle is not moved too much. Nice job with it, it looks like came straight from AMT's factory...! Nice paintjob on it, stance looks very cool, engine work looks very nice and wheels and tires are just perfect to this one. Nice work with it, I was wondering too, what happened when there came no posts to that WIP- topic. But now it looks very very goood! :(
  22. This is very nice! I have been thinking of buying this kit, but always I have seen something better! But now, when I see this one, I must buy one and build it. This one is very nice, paintjob is amazing, I can't make that good paintjob never! I'm sure from it. Foiling work looks really good too. After all, that shaker scoop is just correctly in the place. Nice stance on it, little rake it looks good, also those tires are perfect, and wheels. Gragar 5 spoke mags are fitting perfectly to this muscle car. That "pistol shifter" looks very good on it, engine detailing is awesome, and chassis looks cool. If I must give some critic, it comes from that white interior. It looks very good, yeah but at the same time, it's looking good and unpainted. Well, that's really not a big thing and your Challenger looks very nice, so that doesn't matter at all... I have to continue building my '70 Coronet Super Bee right now... Awesome!
  23. Thanks to Zukiholic! Got some pictures from SpaceCowboy also, but didn't know that Falcon is turning to HT! Awesome, what is that Falcon kit, what manufacturer. I think, it's better in HT than it was on Panel! Great, nothing goes waste! :(
  24. What is the kit? Is it AMT, MPC or what...? It looks like MPC's '57 Flip Nose Vette, but it can't be that kit... This would be AMT... But there are lots of same looking parts, than in that MPC's Flip Nose kit, but there are also lots of parts, that are not in that Flip Nose Vette kit. Maybe it's AMT but you know better then I do, I think... But it's very interesting project, keep it going. I'm watching it for sure!
  25. Thank you for the comments! Yes, good primer will cover it up, as you said. I'm trying to get some time to build this, but tomorrow should try starting '79 Buick after few years... But anyways, I got this kit from trade. Don't know is it in the USA, but here in Finland we have a "trade table", there are some model kits, if you have one which is not started, you can go there and say, "I trade this one to that". I traded '71 Mustang from Lindberg to this, that Mustang is awful kit, there are no any useful parts, exept the body... Engine is not looking good either, that's awful kit. Yes, but engine is now painted three times, I must now put heads and valve covers, etc to it...
